Before: Vocal minority that “Miss Pound for Pound” Dushku has problems with lanky stylist--Jolie counting ion Eliza’s difficult struggles with Hatcher to be replicated in spades due to the similarity in mechanics. “Dushku looked ordinary against Teri,” notes Angelina in preflight. “She got undressed by Hatcher and no one’s talking about it. I’m a big step up in class from Teri and I don’t see what Eliza’s going to do to change things. She’s going to get hurt, she’s going to get frustrated and when that happens, I’m taking over on Eliza Dushku,” Eliza in red leather bikini, Angelina in blonde bob, black push bra, black bikini bottoms.

During R1: Eliza shaking Jolie early with a Ray Leonard hook in the gut--Dushku loose and snappy with her left, has Angelina stopping forward in trouble in the early going. AJ gets it together behind an open hand jab, laying it out long against Eliza’s cheek and keeping the brunette at range. Nice boxing from Angelina as she contains Eliza the rest of the way, steering the brunette with thr stick as Dushku slips and parries, but can’t do any more damage.

R2: Eliza D spends a minute countering Jolie’s jab with slicing right hands--working over and under Angelina’s stick to bash lips and ribs with pant scrapping accuracy. Jolie discouraged by the midway point, stops throwing--Eliza able to dip inside, hook the body, double up the left to the chin and roll AJ up all around the ring as Jolie gives ground. Shutout Dushku.

R3: Starting to look like a message being sent. Dushku just too fast, too precise--she’s patiently breaking Jolie down with sharp, sudden rights and lefts to the ribs, timely counters over the top Jolie’s jab. And biting off those quick pivots to the left to leave Angelina double clutching on receipts.; Eliza adding the third punch to the combinations, touching Angelina body and head--Jolie standing her ground late to avoid the shutout with gritt7y side to side slugging, but she’s falling behind on the cards through 3.

R4: Jolie gets back to jabbing--doubling up to keep Eliza occupied and dragging in her first cracking right crosses to the brunette’s mouth. Eliza stepping out to regroup, misjudges blonde’s lanky reach--Jolie able to surprise Dushku with follow up rights and slapping hooks--Eliza can’t quite find the comfort zone. Down the stretch, Jolie lands a whistling right hand off the illegal backhand jab, strokes a stunned Dushku’s cheek an open palm left and dives in behind another right hand to send Eliza reeling. Crowd on its feet as Eliza digs in at the ropes, pitching and rolling wildly as Jolie unleashes a spirited series of wrap around haymakers. Dushku rattled but gets out of the round--Jolie grinning, right side of her face obscured by that porn star blonde do.

R5: Jolie brazen--stepping in behind her right hand, then hurling the wide left hook from her hip--Dushku staying composed, standing in the pocket and timing her punches inside the blonde’s wider strokes. Nice spanking back and forth as both women land shivering blows to the other’s ribcage, but final minute sees Eliza press the attack. Jolie driven to the ropes under a series of chopping straight rights and lefts off the torso--AJ forced to hang on at the bell.

R6: Jolie giving Dushku all sorts of problems with that rangy delivery--AJ almost landing delayed action blows as she drags pounches into Eliza with that sexy shoulder and body turn--it’s tough for Eliza to puck up the punches. Dushku stays patient. Standing in front of Jolie making her miss, then ripping at that lean breadbasket with short, chopping strokes from either hand, snapping the fist back to her chest to reload. Bruising body shots add up by the final minute--Jolie mouth breathing, starting to unravel and Eliza starts to swivel AJ’s head with  vicious straight right hands on the mouth. Jolie banged to the ropes--draping forward to clinch, but she’s getting crippled as Dushku digs furiously to the body, rocks the blonde back, then clouts her jaw--combinations start to spackle up the blonde. AJ’s applecart falls completely apart in the dying seconds--defence shredded--Jolie sags into the ropes a stupefied wreck, staring dimly as Eliza’s fists bash onto the blonde’s groggy face and THE REF STEPS IN! Dushku lifting her mitts and shouting in triumph--Jolie in rags, jerking and tottering on ramshackle legs, looks like she’s been kicked oujt of bed. TKO6 Eliza D.

After: Jolie having her moments, but Eliza basically in control--another professional beat down/take out for Dushku as she subjugates a very confident opponent tonight. “Easy fight,” assesses Eliza in post-op. “Actually, when I taped her abs in the opening minute, I knew I had her--it was just a question of how much she wanted to take on rthe way out. This whole idea that I cant handle a girl with reach and some snap on her punches is insane. Oh, and speaking of the lanky bodied myth: I want to congratulate Jessica Spears on winning the bantamweight title this evening Way to go!”
