BOXING AFTER DARK

Before: Plenty of familiarity b between these two former sparring partners, Reid with the beautiful blonde’s distain for the more down to earth charms of the red head setting the tone for the conflict. Hannigan sturdy enough if not as stylish in the ring--Tara still tooting the old “I clobbered Teri Hatcher” horn and expecting to trounce Alyson for a showcase. Reid in stars and stripes bikini, low ponytail, Alyson in red bandeau bikini, half hipster bottoms, small gloves for both.

During 1. 2: Straight up boxing midring, girls with dukes at chest height, raising to temples as they step around each other. Girls taking turns getting off with stiff combinations--it’s very methodical stuff, gloves making sticky, patting contact with bare midriffs, firm breasts, rounded shoulders--neither girl really hitting hard enough to get the other in trouble, but both are fielding nice firm leather. Very little to choose between the two--neither backing down. Reid more likely to use both hands working off her jab to punch right hands at Alyson’s mouth with economical, short pokes--Hannigan more likely to double and triple up her left hand while holding the right at her cheek--she’ll hook Tara’s belly, cuff Tara’ jugs, then turn the left uppercut over to try on that chin. Even after two--both girls pinking u nicely.

R3: More of the same, nice tic-tac-toe pace, girls steady on their feet, standing in to take what’s coming so they can immediately answer back, Even trade until the final  minute when Hannigan’s hooks seems t be shutting Tara down some--Reid with her gloves at her temples stops punching--Hannigan allowed to rev up to the body with both mitts, beating the blonde’s butt to the ropes for the first time,. Reid goes to answer back and gets nailed a tight hook on the chin--blonde’s legs give at the knee as she sinks into the ropes hurt at the bell. Alyson gloating at the small triumph--Reid shaken, embarrassed to have been bested.

R4: Reid standing toe to toe, both girls stubby with the jab, then trying for belly the hook and Hannigan’s putting hurt on Tara’s pretty face after each telling exchange. Alyson starting to put moves together--she’s already out punching Tara, now she turns Reid’s left flank, works off that left shoulder to hit Tara’s inside cheek with a tight hook.  Reid’s butt on the ropes again, blonde covering up, baring her teeth in frustration as she gets peppered body and head at the bell.

R5: Glorious 3 hook series to blonde belly spills Reid breathless to all fours to open the round--Alyson skipping away all smiles as Tara takes a blow. Reid frightened, groggy in the aftermath--Hannigan jabs her to the ropes, smiles as she dips her left shoulder and gets back after the sweetmeat downstairs--Reid all covered up and  grunting  as red head hooks away, Hannigan getting beefy on Tara, nudging up with her left shoulder, stepping ocer to the right and biting the hook in on Tara’s left eye. Reid getting clipped nhu Alyson’s competent, compact combinations and not answering back--blonde all scuffed up and discouraged at the bell.

R6: Reid’s got the better legs in this fight and finally uses them, opening up the canvas and making the more stationary redhead give chase. Fight easier for Tara when she gets her jab on Alyson--Reid’s able to land her right hand to the mouth and tough hook in the belly as a result. All for naught as down the stretch, Hannigan stubbornly walking though it trades rights, trades lefts and puts Reid wobbly butt as blonde is beaten to punches straight up. Tara reaching for Alyson’s shoulders, eyes pleading as Hannigan helps herself to belly, belly, tit, and chin with a pleasing burst of patting punches at the break.

R7: Reid knows she’s losing to ALYSON HANNIGAN! Blonde hardens up and starts to put a bit more steam n her punches this round. Alyson forced to back up for the first time as Reid bends in behind  hard right hands, gets her hips and back into firm hooks to the waistline, Hannigan giving as good as she gets however--she’s stinging Tara with those pedestrian, but well laced 3 and 4 punch combinations--Hannigan able to step in close and ping-ping away as Reid stands and takes. Down the stretch, a frustrated Tara Reid tries to punch with Alyson and gets beaten repeatedly to short strokes to the ribs and chin, culminating in a perfect hook on the chin which sit’s the blonde down at the ropes, Reid near tears as she takes her 8, body trembling with panic as time is running out.

R8: Tara Reid has her best round, finally outclassing the steady workmanship of Hannigan. Tara using that jab, keeping Hannigan’s guard occupied, then sitting down on hooks to the body that are buckling Alyson’s knees. Reid biting into Alyson’s sides, puts the redhead ropeside and rings her up with a perfect left hook. Right uppercut that has Hannigan falling in to clinch. Reid punishing tummy with a shoe shining flurry, then shouldering Hannigan off--blonde opening up with pretty combinations that have Alyson crossing her  arms, taking punches clean in the ribs and off her startled face at the bell.

R9: Reid attempting, shutting Alyson down with the jab, then taking her apart as blonde works her combinations and angles. Reid lands several stinging right hands over Hannigan’s left shoulder this round, wearing out the redhead’s chin--Alyson staggering and reeling late in the stanza as tara loads up and bends in with bad intentions.

R10: Reid trading hooks in the sternum, hooks in the belly, then comes up top to beat Hannigan to the hook in the chops--redhead staggers back into the ropes wide-eyed and stupefied, Reid able to mount  a partial beat down, but Alyson able to roll and block to get her wits back--last half of this round the same sort of crowd pleasing turn-taking that the rest of the fight has been.. Girls just working in there, giving and taking punches without restraint--ref has to break’em up after the bell. Comes back UD10 Alyson Hannigan!

After: Upset--Reid crimson faced and teary eyed at the thought of this blemish on her ecord, although actual gulf between the fighters not as great as the blonde perceives it to be in her mind. Hannigan prancing with victory, she took it to Tara round after round, she made Tara work, and she just out hustled the blonde with a very methodical performance. Tara given up most of her talent to trade toe to toe with Alyson--Hannigan the more stubborn competitor this evening. Well made match allowed both women to get off impressive number of punches without ever getting wild or awkward.
