Before: Cuthbert addresses rumours that she’s less than thrilled with Krusher Kommand inking a Rodriguez fight. “I was never afraid of Michelle,” insists Elisha, ‘but I was worried about the gate for this fight. Let’s face it: how many copies of FHM has Michelle sold by being on their cover? None. I felt like K&G didn’t understand who my fans were, but the they convinced me how important this fight was in the long term.  Beat danI Fishel senseless--a girl who wore Rodriquez out. I demolished Eliza Dushku--just erased her from the bantamweight picture. When I add Michelle to the list, there won’t be any way to question my credibility, And the money fights will still be there, bigger than ever. That’s why I ay these girls--they’re always thinking!” Elisha in tawdry pink cami-strap tank top, panties (probably the best reason to go see “Old School”)--Michelle in black leather bikini, slicked back ponytail.

During R1: Elisha dukes up, edges in shoulder to shoulder and goes right at her sultry foe. Mrod bangs’er up--thick in the waist, short and severe up top--concise, clubbing blows hammer Cuthbert to the ropes. Blonde gritting her teeth, slugging back--she’s hitting Rodriguez flush, but not getting any movement out of her--round Mrod

R2: Janet Jones in Elisha’s corner, imploring her charge to box: “If her head is on your shoulder,” says Janet, “you’re losing.” E does her best to comply, right hand at her cheek, probing jabs against Michelle’s face, but Rodriguez not cooperating, Latina slipping to either side of the stick and hauling it in counter-hooks, beating Elisha to the breasts, touching her mouth, backing her up, Cuthbert getting scuffed up, slugging back, but getting jolted to the jaw by blunt right hands, serious hooks. Rodriguez scowling at the bell, stomping back to her corner--she’s getting on the champ, riding her hard through 2.

R3: More boxing from Elisha--Mrod totally dismantling the young blonde’s efforts, Rodriquez slipping inside the stick and countering with decisive left uppercuts to sternum or chin, left hooks to tits and constantly backing the champ up, Cuthbert stays off the ropes for about a minute, but the hammer job to her face adds up--she settles in, covers up tight and starts to soak. Bludgeoning beat down the res of the way--Mrod helping herself to blonde flanks, picking her up harsh in the chest with curling uppercuts underneath. Elisha slightly staggery, lumping up around the eyes--she looks lost, discouraged as Janet tries to shake some confidence into her during the break.

R4: Another shutout Mrod--not as devastating as the third, but dictating distance to Elisha, getting inside and outworking the blonde when she’s there, Cuthbert not answering back, bent forward at the waist, alternating between a crossed arm defence and the face-in-gloves look. Mrod punching puts blonde butt in ropes--thick beating to the bell as Rodriguez pours it on heartless.

R5: Elisha slugging, tagging Mrod An Early right on the chin--Rodriquez walking through it bashing Elisha a right on the mouth, putting the hook on top to get blonde staggering backwards again. Cuthbert lowering her head, pitching wide from her hips--Rodriguez composed, gloves at her cheeks as she steps inside, lets Elisha punches sweep over top or wrap harmlessly around the shoulders. Latina counters are devastating--short clipping uppercuts inside, monsters hooks to the ribcage--Cuthbert sobbing aloud, reaching  to clinch, getting muscled back. Elisha’s head starting to loll on a limp neck, hands outstretched--she’s helpless as a marauding Michelle piles it on. Hammering lefts and rights chest and face have Elisha sitting dazed in the ropes, staring into punishment a and THE REF STEPS IN! Its over--Cuthbert busted up, beaten into stupor, slumps in the man’s arms--TKO5 or the winner and NEW bantam champeen--Michelle Rodriguez!

After: Mrod festooned shoulders and waists with belts--pounding her chest and mugging for the camera--talk about a meteoric rise: she’s champion 3 fights in. Cuthbert in shock., devastated in her corner, battered and worn out--she obviously believed every word of her own diatribes, and those of her entourage. BLONDE! Magazine splash page of the fight report shows a stunned Cuthbert staring into space with the words “OH NO!” written boldly beneath.
