BEFORE: Taylor playing it feisty in prefight, pushing and shoving former champ at first photo-shoot...Garner takes it all in stride. "You know, she's a young fighter in a big fight," Jen says in prefight, "maybe a little spooked...I think she's just trying to mask some confidence issues. It's stupid - all you're going to do is rile your opponent up, and any deficiencies you have going in, are that much more likely to be exposed. But whatever: not my first rodeo, you know?" Taylor hot-cheeked at Jen's high hand: Cole fuming at the podium. "Garner better just watch out," TC says all eyes a-flashing. "My fists basically retired Jennifer O'Dell, and she was twice the fighter Garner is. I'm a legend killer in this sport - I love humbling the big names, and I've got a feeling I'm going to adding to my legacy BIG time with Jennifer G!" Taylor in bright lemon yellow bikini; black hair in ponytail with bangs; black gloves. Jen in bright baby blue bikini; hair tied off her face; white gloves.

During R!: Cautious look-and-poke early - girls reaching left hands into offending racks or tight tummies while circling clockwise. Veteran smothering tactics keep Cole ropebound - Jennifer atop her girl, shoving into the body, clipping the chin, bumping and mauling tummy-to-tummy in the first.

R2: Same opening - girls reaching left hands to jug or tum; circling clockwise; sliding in off poke to crowd in close. Taylor doing a better job disengaging early - pushing Jen off - making her exchange at range. Good muscular whacking of opposing waistlines - both girls strapping away from medium distance as the other covers up peek-a-boo. Down the stretch - Jen able to crowd in and walk Taylor to ropes, then beat her there systematically. Shoving little rights to body; clipping little right uppercuts; nasty swiping inside left hooks chop and hack at Taylor, punishing her for points late.

R3: Same again - Taylor holding her own when girls exchange outside - Jen working hard to renegotiate these terms, finishing up the round on Taylor's chest, putting Taylor's back on ropes. Jen's right hand fitting in tuff underneath Taylor's left breast; Jen's right hand pushing on Taylor's left shoulder while Jen's head grinds clavicle; Jen's right hand knocking back Taylor's head via jerky little uppercuts. Cole grumpy, frowning - obviously cranky about finishing up the rounds underneath Jen Garner.

R4: Taylor breaks the spell, catching Jen a gorgeous left uppercut to stomach as Garner's crowding in; cleaning up Jen's chin via left uppercut to send her reeling backward one minute in. Cole over to offence, walking Jen down: Garner shying to perimeter, hands at temples, lips parted. Taylor in waves - attacking Jen along the ropes: Cole leaning in, shellacking thick, painting right/lefts against sturdy Jen-waist - pushing off to reset. Garner beaten savagely, but remaining stoic behind her mitts: Jen's guard is hammered - she's staggering along the apron, but strong legs hold her up as Taylor loads up, pounds away for points.

R5: Jen jabbing her way in - establishing position on Taylor's chest - walking Cole to ropes - smothering and pounding her there. Taylor squirming beneath Jen's press - lips curled back off white teeth: Cole really struggling and pushing her hardest, but Jen's powerful legs/backside maintain top position. Grinding stuff - Jen content to shove/jerk/tuck punches into Taylor's body - occasionally coming upstairs via uppercuts or tight-swiping hooks. Cole mouthbreathing as veteran taxes young legs through 5.

R6: Jen takes Taylor to ropes, crowds her, shoves right hands into belly/beneath left tit. Cole whining, straining - her face pinched as she struggles to squirm free or push off. Jen just throwing a blanket on Taylor and bludgeoning her - former champ smothering Cole's talent with grinding tactics. Minute in - short, jolting right uppercut picks up Taylor's head, loosening her knees; another right uppercut jams to chin...Taylor looks hurt. Another right uppercut - Jen working her left arm in under Taylor's right to position her...it's a torrent of right uppercuts! Taylor helpless, stunned - oh, she's just GOBBLING righty - head bouncing back and around...Jen's right arm sawing back and forth, punching Taylor to a groggy seat on the ropes and THE REF STEPS IN! Taylor's out, swooning into the man's arms as official collects drooping brunette - TKO6 Jen Garner.

After: Garner hard-eyed walking away from wilting Cole: youngster got under her veteran's skin, but paid the price for belligerence tonight. "A few more of those and Taylor's going to be an old fighter," Jen muses in postfight. "We didn't want to be out on the end of her punches because she's a good athlete and generates a lot of leverage outside. We wanted to be right in close, using her up, frustrating her, and look: that's definitely a used-up, frustrated young punk over there. I like her better this way: less mouthy."
