LORI ON THE BEACH

Before: (Figure a few weeks after Bosworth/Loughlin). Clash of styles on the beach: Lori the quick-mitted combination puncher (the Ray Leonard in the equation). Kiana with her long lines, stunning right crosses (the Hearns)--it’s a nice test. Lori brought back to earth by Kate Bosworth last time out, but  Loughlin convinced she won that fight, hasn’t let the result ruin her sense of momentum. “I feel I’m coming into Kiana as an undefeated fighter,” says Lori. “and I’m going to fight Tom like that--no fear.” Kiki in black sports bra, black nylon drawstring trunks, white shoes and socks--Lori in neon blue bikini top, nylon trunks, white shoes and socks. Beach n’ bleachers set up--Hawaii Hilton.

During R1: Loughlin with her trademark quick start--Kiana leaning onto her back foot, trying to gauge Loughlin’s speed. Lori with the knack of shooting in unpredictable lead rights, getting an opponent backpedaling, then stepping-with and pinging away straight lefts and rights as the girl falls into the ropes, tom chased ropeside time and again, cooperating by digging in, raising dukes to her temples and posing--Loughlin able to set her hips and get luscious digs to Kiki’s brown abs, shiny flanks wit rib-rattling rights and lefts. Tom gritting her teeth, shaken at many points this round, back knee buckling as her body gets rung up-Loughlin taking the hair brush to Kiki’s backside this round, pounding away for a 10-8 without a knockdown for hurting Tom consistently and with domination.

R2: Veteran Tom’s made her diagnosis, now she treats he problem. Keek getting the jab out early and long, touching Lori well outside and keeping the blonde at the end of the punch. Loughlin forced to gamble--lunging and reaching on punches--Kiana hanging back, looking to time Lori for intercepting rights. Pretty cat and mouse--Loughlin trying to dart in and touch up Kiana’s suspect ribs--Tom trying to make Lori cover as much ground as possible, seeking chin with dangerous rights.

R3: Kiana nice and relaxed, jabbing long off her hip, sliding back, dragging the front goot as Lori lunges, then looking to time blonde chin for crashing right hands. Midway through it all comes together--Loughlin rushing in--Keek sliding back, turning on a murderous right and pounding her glove flush off onrushing blonde face-LORI’S STUNNED! Loughlin stepping in fence post holes, wandering off to her right in a fog--Keek steps with, swinging and missing, but chasing Loughlin to the ropes. Lori’s turn to guard up and roast--Kiana setting up lanky--licking that limber hook across waist, right hand under chin, always ready to chop down and in if Loughlin’s defence drops. Punishing shutout Kiana Tom--Lori tasting the wiry power, passing an early chin-check.

R4: Loughlin with a cute backhand jab to tummy, step out-and-counter hook on the chin--Tom tip-toeing hurt, legs momentarily betraying her and Lori pounces. Loughlin stepping in close and letting her hands go I a tearing flurry--swatting body and rib work, clawing strokes to either ear--Kiki batted back under a hail of fire to hit the ropes in disarray. Loughlin sliding in low, extending her jab into Kiana’s mouth, then scorching bronzed abs a vicious right--coming back with a spanking left to the ribs--Tom crippled. Tom fans biting their knuckles--Hawaiian beauty frozen on the spot, tilted forward, dukes at her temples, lips pulled back--Lori’s just going at her with both barrels. Loughlin an exciting vixen when she cuts loose--tight little body perfectly leveraged, crisp, snatching combinations biting into Tom’s quivering ribs and tummy, Loughlin brawny at points, resetting Keek by knuckling her shoulders back, then shoulder  shrugging tight uppercuts in between the mitts. Lori occasionally jerking short rising blows to the overhanging ledge of Kiana’s bulging rack--no love lost as Loughlin gets good leather into the offending bra. Systematic beat down--Tom a paralyzed, soaking up punishment--Loughlin whipping her mount to the bell with brisk body work, tidy uppercuts against a wilting foe.

R5: Lori confidently taking midring, threatening Kiana with feints--blonde’s eyes bright, flashing with aggression. Kiki a little busted up, shying away but still busting the stinging jab off the hip, sliding footwork back and to the right as she drags her front foot for position. Loughlin lunging with lead right, coming up short, menacing Kiana around the ring and LORI’.S DOWN! All so sudden--Lori the boss, pressing the pace--she jumps in--Kiki times her perfectly, kissing the right hand off the chin, ducking I and down to let the blonde drape herself over Tom’s back. Loughlin slides off, collapsing to the canvas and rolling limp to her back and it’s OVER! Gobsmack KO5 Kiana Tom.

After: Lori rolling Kiana up, gut tom with the veteran ability to counter speed with timing--Kiki pulls the fat out of the fire one more time with a blistering right cross. No shame for Loughlin--she was doing well, hurting Kiana and taking it to her, just misjudging Tom’s condition and starting the finish run a little early,. Loughlin not the first girl to get ahead of Kiana only to get caught and stopped--probably won’t be the last as Tom starts to pull out of her sand-slump.
