Before: Smith gets the fight she wanted: Gillian Anderson often draws huge numbers at the gate, but just as often can’t back up her celebrity. A good solid fighter, if undersized and un empowered, Anderson has been in there with absolutely everybody, and doesn’t have any secrets left. Smith owns previous victories over Anderson, and doesn’t look to be upset in this one. Teal adidas trunks and white jogbra by CTS, red adidas and black jog bra for Gillian.

During R1: Gillian comes out and works the midriff of Courtney with both hands, but this isn’t her night. An uppercut has her in trouble, and a series of clubbing right hands has Anderson in one knee 2 minutes in,. She rises gamely, but is swarmed as a rejuvenated Courtney over-indulges herself with a brutal finishing flurry along the ropes. Anderson badly battered as fight is stopped.

After: Bad fight, even by Anderson standards, Gillian makes Courtney look like a puncher, but boos from the crowd tell the story. They don’;t like the punk in Andrrson at $50 a ticket.
