Before: Intriguing match up with a lot of speculation going in. Theron the more experienced fighter, and Shield's biggest fight to date, but the blonde can't be careless: she opts not to put on 10-15 extra pounds for this fight, relying on speed rather than mass against Brooke. Shields has a bad habit of waiting for her 'turn' to punch, and can wait herself out of rounds, but Theron isn't the busiest fighter around either. Charlize has to box, move her hands, and not allow Brooke to get off in order to insure an easy fight. Teal Adidas terrycloth trunks and white jogbra for Charlize, red Adidas and black jogbra Brooke.

During R1: Anxious moments early for Team Theron as Charlize allows Brooke to close, and the big brunette walks the blonde into her own corner. Shields using her size and strength, clubs away at Theron's arms and stomach with meaty lefts and rights. Theron gets her head in the game however, and manages to spin out of the comer, turning the brawl into a boxing match. All Theron for the rest of the way, using the jab, circling and retreating to walk Brooke into punches, and continually keeping a fist on the brunette to keep her tentative.

R2: Theron much more assured this round, rips a hard lead right to split Brooke's lip in the opening seconds. Shields turtles with the first taste of blood, and Charlize PUNISHES the big woman with a painful rain of batting left hooks. Theron turning Brooke, hitting her from angles and making the brunette move her feet, is in total control. In the final minute, Charlize begins battering Shields with brisk 2 and 3 punch combinations. Round ends with Brooke leaning straight back over the ropes, giving up the body as Charlize digs in to the bell.

R3: Charlize picks up where she left off, hammering a sneaky lead right into Brooke's face to startle the big girl early in the round. Shields is hurt, and steps back, and Theron lets her hands go this round, pounding right hands into Brooke's face and left hooks to the big girl's jaw. Brooke desperate to stay in the fight begins winging wide lefts and rights, and toe to toe the girls trade blows all around the ring. Charlize continually beats Brooke to the punch, drilling the right hand over and over into Shield's rapidly swelling face, and although Shields is trading, she's off balance, and arm punching. In the final minute, Brooke's full thighs tremble as her knees begin to lock, and Charlize senses the moment. Pounding a series of left hooks to Brooke's ear, Charlize sets up a teeth-rattling right uppercut that pops Brooke's face straight up and sends a jolt through the brunette's body. Slowly leaning forward, a sleepy eyed Brooke is NAILED with a crushing left hook, and Shields plummets to her face on the canvas. Shocking KO3 for Charlize Theron as she totally dismantles Brooke Shields in this one.

After: Nobody seems more surprised at the outcome than Charlize Theron: "I had trained to get 10 long rounds, and we had really worked on my jabbing and my movement and boxing - but... she was there and I took her out. I just want to thank..." Shields took tremendous punishment in this brief contest, getting absolutely pulped, but went down swinging, resembling a warrior in the process.
