Before: A fight that always sells tickets, despite the fact that Roberts gives away a lot of skill to the former pound for pound champ Diaz. Julia a methodical right hand slugger, not as mobile or creative as the instinctive Diaz in the ring - Roberts will have to load up and hope to land the bomb to win. Cameron coming in with a solid physique (abandoning the emaciated look which saw her lose big to Jamie Luner), looks the bigger girl in baby blue cotton camisole and panties vs. Julia in pink bra and panties.

During R1: As expected, Julia comes out with the right hand cocked at her chest, reaching with the left and leaning into the right, looking for homeruns. Early success fades as Cameron dances, hammers in that staple gun jab, and takes over the round from the midway point on.

R2: Shutout Diaz. Cameron looking light on her feet, dances left, doubling the jab, finding Julia's face with exquisite distance judgment. Roberts reacting just a heartbeat too late, catches jabs on her face, and can't cut off the ring.

R3: Diaz shows a little Ali look, bouncing around Julia, lifting the jab from the waist, then stepping into whipping right hands directly to the forehead to daze Roberts early. Julia hurt and stumbling forward, is taken apart as Diaz lets her hands go, battering Roberts with the sides of her fists - hook and uppercuts from underneath with the left, chopping down with the right. Roberts manages to keep her feet, but is badly swelling around the eyes as Diaz steers her the rest of the way with the merciless jab.

R4: Cameron gets after Julia's expressive eyes, pounding back Robert's head with left-rights and flashing that famous Something about Mary grin as Julia goes groggy. Roberts grimly continues to chase, walking into Diaz punches she just can't seem to avoid, but in the final minute, Julia leans into a long right hand, catching Cameron mid-showboat and nearly depositing the blonde on her backside. Nice finishing rally from Roberts sees her put some hurt on Cameron, if not enough to take the round

R5: Julia tries maintain her momentum, but Cameron's legs are winning this fight. Diaz steps away from Robert's early rushes, counters the obvious right hand with catspaw left hooks from down low, then takes over with the jab. In the final minute, after beating Robert's face raw with the left, Diaz steps into another chopping right to the mouth that has Roberts stepping in fence post holes. A mean elbow strike on the helpless brunette's brow brings a smile to Diaz face at the bell.

R6, 7: Cameron beginning to bury Roberts, continues to box at a distance, dissecting Julia's defense and pounding the pretty woman lumpy with constant pestering shots.

R8: Julia wins her first round of the fight as Cameron takes a break. Roberts able to stand her ground and punch flat footed as Diaz takes right hands on the arms, turns with the punches, and defends this round. Julia clearly flagging, just doesn't enough left in the tank to break Cameron down.

R9: Cameron Diaz with a cruel round of sniper right hands, beats Julia's lips bloody with lead rights, and swatting left hooks. Roberts hurt continuously throughout the round as her head begins to jolt dangerously on her neck from Diaz laser like blows. Roberts staggered on several occasions this round, clearly out of it. After the bell, a disheartened Julia Roberts tells her corner to stop the fight.

After: Cameron Diaz delighted with the stoppage, forcing Roberts to quit on her stool rather than go out on her shield. Humiliating beating for Julia who showed surprising heart in going as long as she did in this one sided beating.
