UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE

Before: unlikely heroine Talisa gets a crack at mainstream big timr with a shot at Theron’s Universal Studios strap. Theron impressed with Talisa’s handling of the heavily favored, though shopworn Shannon Tweed, and promises the public a great fight. Talisa in it to win it, respectful of Charlize, but intimidated of the blonde who is once again at the top of the celebrity fight heap. Talisa in red jockey two piece, Charlize in black.

During R1: Charlize schools the bold brunette challenger with a textbook round. Hard jabs early give way to harder hooks, and by the final minute, Talisa is woozy and stumbling beneath Theron’s patient but very heavy handed two-fisted punching. Theron breaks Talisa down on the ropes with a fierce series of left hooks to the midsection, leaving the brunette sagging at the bell.

R2: Charlize continues to dominate, and Soto’s still hurt from the body work to end the first. Talisa with her short brown bob obscuring her eyes takes repeated jabs, flush in the mouth, and once again is simply beaten down by Theron’s punch progression. Going to the body again in the final minute, Charlize pounds away with gorgeous left hooks, folding Soto up and leaving her cringing on the ropes at the bell. Talisa beaten like a rug though two--Theron strutting early.

R3; brunette shows up for the fight, jabbing with Charlize, and winning some early hooking battles to back the blonde up. Theron not as active, taking a round to regroup while Talisa curves that smooth left hook into Charlize’s guard and shoulders.

R4: Theron out ton test Talisa’s heart this round, lures the brunette into a toe to toe slugfest that rages for almost a sustained minute of blistering give and take. Soto getting the rhythm of stand up boxer. Theron, begins tagging right hand counters and midway through the round, a sweet left hook, right cross combination to the head has Theron wobbly butt. Charlize covering up as Talisa pounds away with double left hooks, double right hands to the body to finish strong.

R5: Charlize puts down the rebellion with signature power punching this round. Early jabs once again stymie Talisa, who simply can’t deal with the sting, and Charlize pours into the openings with hurtful hooks and straight right hands. Talisa simply overwhelmed, head rocked from blows, and Theron begins to put grade A beating on the game brunette. By the final minute, Talisa is wrecked, staggering in front of Theron, walking into that vicious short right hand, as Charlize simply outclasses her opponent. Theron frustrated as Talisa finishes the round on her feet, but brunette beaten to within an inch of  quitting this round.

R6: Charlize dials up the body once again, pounding methodically away at Talisa’s form midsection, as soto can only crumple up, elbows in and take. Soto with the smooth left hook, fights in spurts, but is hurting and puffy faced after 6.

R7: Nice give and take to the arms and bodies women through much of this round, as each puts in a high contact effort, in the final minute, Talisa stuns Theron with a walk away hook, and as Charlize falters, pounds away with a series of clubbing right hands to finally bust up the blonde at the bell. Slugging after the bell, Talisa is pushed back as Charlize slumps drunkenly on the ropes.

R8: Charlize back on her bicycle. Eye closing rapidly from Talisa’s crushing right hands, and she sticks and moves to box her way to a shutout round. Forced to gamble, Soto eats punches as she follows, failing to cut off the ring or do anything productive as she loads up on home run swings.

R9: Talisa still swinging for the fences, Charlize still patient, fighting behind the jab, and manufacturing openings for her right hand. Even round until the final seconds as Soto dips low, comes up with a whip action left hook to sweep Charlize’s mouthpiece off her teeth and leaves her staring and groggy. Soto putting punches together, pounds Charlize into a daze at the bell, and the referee once again must stop an overzealous brunette from torturing the scrambled blonde in overtime.

R10: Charlize Theron closes out the show like a champ, realizing that Talisa is too dangerous to coast against. Changing up nicely, Theron spears the right hand low to Talisa’s ribs, banging the punch hard to the sternum and buckling the brunette’s legs for the night. Soto hurt, ineffective fro m the first minute in, goes on to take a savage beating to the body and head, but finishes ion her feet for the decision loss. Winner and still Champion: Charlize Theron.

After: Soto continues to surprise withy gutsy efforts against favored blondes, taking Charlize the distance in a back and forth struggle. Charlize looked early to run Talisa out of the ring, but once the nerves settled--Soto held her own, hurting Theron on several occasions, and winning 4 rounds for a respectable losing effort. Admitting to let down after the fifth failed to produce a stoppage, Charlize is very complimentary towards her for in post fight.
