20 July 1999 Donna D'errico vs Lucy Liu

Before: Donna with the size and height in this one, but the robotic blonde is tailor made for Lucy's unorthodox style in what most feel is a stay-busy fight for the luscious Asian. D'errico hoping to capitalize on a strong performance against Dunning maintains that she 'won't lay down for Lucy'. Donna in red Baywatch one piece, Lucy in black jogbra, red high cut trunks.

R1: Nobody but nobody does the stare down like Lucy Liu, and Donna can't hold the Asian's feline gaze during introductions. Intimidated, D'errico is on her heels early as the smaller woman bounces around and in and out on her, coming in from oblique angles. Lucy lunges in with the Hamed lead right uppercut under D’errico’s pushing left, and nearly drops the blonde to start the fight. Liu with the constant movement, continues to leap inside with no regard for her safety, collapsing D'errico's defense and scoring with explosive single blows, mostly to the head. D'errico with some moments late, manages to back Lucy off with some chopping one-twos.

R2: Lucy very comfortable, hands at her sides, hopping around D'errico then suddenly pouncing inside with a spearing left or right uppercut, then peeling away to reset. Derrico caught with both hands out in a pleading gesture gets ROCKED early and often this round as Liu simply finds a crease, pours into it and nails the blonde with everything she has. D'errico's soft features beginning to lump up, but midway through the round, she steps to the left and lunges with a wide right to clip Lucy moving straight back. Liu stunned, falls to her butt as the blonde finally makes her pay for these outrageous rushes. Chagrined, Lucy moves inside the rest of the way, using her shorter stature to get leverage and smother D'errico's long arms to the bell.

R3: Lucy with the change in tactics, fights off D’errico’s chest, digging with short combinations to the blonde's toned midriff. D'errico helpless, holds Lucy about the shoulders, grimacing with her cheek resting on the top of Lucy's head in the clinch. Liu buckles Donna's legs finally, tying up the blonde's right arm and digging at her body with shovelling right hands. With Double D hurt, Lucy bounces back outside, circling to begin her bombing runs once more. In the final minute, she begins hurting Donna with every leaping blow, cat-like eyes burning with intensity as the blonde starts to break down. Lucy steps in with a huge right on the jaw, leaving it there to hold Donna's face in place for the wide crashing left, and D'errico falls to her back at Lucy's feet. Donna can't find the courage to continue: KO 3 Lucy Liu.

After: Donna simply out gunned by the smaller, but much more aggressive and better-trained girl. Lucy showed that tendency to get off balance after her lunges, and was dropped because of it, but it will take more than a single shot to get rid of this little dynamo.
