Before: Heigl very sensitive to the stepping stone label and doesn't like the idea of Swanson using it as Kristy continues her ballyhooed comeback. "I'm a recent middleweight champ," pouts Katherine in prefight. "What's Kristy done since Buffy besides eat?" Swanson's weight always a concern, but she makes the welter limit in tone, she's breezily confident with the press - most make her the favorite over Heigl's protestations. Kristy in pink thin strap tank top and panties, Katherine in royal blue tank, black panties.

Rd 1: No feeling out period - Swanson hopping forward all business and launching right hands - Heigl dukes up, rolling to her right and answering right hands, tight clubbing hooks in spirited two way trade. Pretty even with both girls landing firm to body and head, but down the stretch, Heigl beats Swanny to simultaneous rights, shaking Kristy at the knees. Katherine twisting immediately into a compact hook to the point of the chin, lifts Swanson to her tippy toes and sends her reeling - brawny follow up from Heigl as she steps to her girl and swings away to body with gusto at the bell.

Rd 2: Swanny all grimaces, getting gingerly off her stool - Heigl storming over, missing a breezy right hand but catching all of the come-back hook on the point of Swanson's chin. Kristy ragdolled to the ropes, staring, facing into blows - Heigl stepping in strong to work big-girl at the ropes. Katherine in a crouch, fists at her chest as she rolls her torso, clubbing and bashing away at the arms, body and chest of her foe. Swanson's legs look gone as she sags against the ropes, sobbing aloud whenever Heigl sinks in the right hand heart-punch. Beating spills along the ropes - Katherine stepping with and keeping it on to the second minute. Swanny all busted up downstairs, pushing limply against Katherine's shoulders, trying to get her off - Heigl switches focus to chin with devastating results. Rising right uppercuts and left hooks crash home - brushing aside Swanson's guard, swiveling her head with crowd-pleasing violence. Kristy shipping brutal slobberknocking blows, body stationary as head tosses wildly and SWANSON GOES DOWN! Kristy puddling near the ropes, rolling onto her face - she's ALL the way out! KO2 in devastating fashion, Katherine Heigl.

After: Kristy's got some work to do. No doubting the big blonde's fighting pedigree, but Heigl's been much the busier girl over the last year and it showed as she took it right to her vaunted opponent tonight. Heigl crippling Swanson to the body, then checking her out with frightening efficiency - great performance lifts Heigl's stock in a competitive welterweight division.
