BEFORE: Pretty Elodie best known Stateside for leading a largely successful troop of French starlets in a 2009 campaign to rid French beaches of Penelope Cruz' Spanish bullies...but none of that action was boxing. "Certainement I can box," Elodie says sweetly in prefight. "Anything Penelope can do, I can do much better. She would never dream of facing an American of the quality of Pink: I shall batter Pink as a message to that cowardly Cruz, and take America by storm!" Pink baffled by Euro trash talk...but she's happy for the rounds. "Look, I have no clue who this chick is," Pink admits at podium, "the only thing I DO know is she's willing to face me for money, and there's not a lot of girls this side of the Atlantic you can say that about. Fighting Penelope Cruz doesn't exactly prepare you for my kind of violence, but whatever: don't tell this chick what's coming until I get her in there!" Pink in white sports bra; white bikini bottoms; white gloves; white boxing shoes to mid-calf; shoulder scrappy blonde tousle. Elodie in baby blue lace push up; midnight blue, low-rise boy-leg panties; white boxing shoes (no socks); white gloves; hair in serviceable twisty-bun that somehow comes across elegant.

During R1: Pink energetic, adopting an Andre Berto look - bouncing on her lead (left) leg, left at her hip/right at her chest. Elodie very upright - right at her chin - left tracing little ovals in the air as she circles clockwise. Pouncing, vicious attacks from Pink: sudden lead rights followed by sweeping lefts...Frege punched out of her stance, chased to ropes as she stares in shock. First minute - Pink's volleying assault sends French girl reeling around ring (American jogging in hot pursuit); second minute sees the knockdowns. Elodie beaten to all fours by concussive rights and lefts in sequence...she recovers, only to be battered along ropes and dropped to her glutes in her own corner. French girl pluckier than she looks: Elodie up, blinking away tears, but assuring ref she's good to go. Pink bounces on in, initiates savage, swift barrage of lefts and rights, head-and-shoulders on Frege. Poor Elodie battered ragdoll - forming up earmuff and swaying against ropes to bell.

R2: Pink: showboating, singing the words to "Trouble" under her breath as she dances in front of Elodie, then potshots her with either hand off the hip. Frege organizing her guard up top, blocking punches, but getting slugged off balance regardless... Pink chortling at the effect of her power. All Pink, all the time, until the final moments: Elodie showing some defensive form, weaving on the spot, comes back a chipper right uppercut flush to chin. PINK PUT WOBBLY-BUTT! Crowd squealing in surprise as Pink momentarily falters, then forms earmuff: pat-pat of light, slapping French body shots clouts at Pink's paunch. Bell: Pink purses lips, shakes her head 'no' en route to her corner...only to get reamed by trainer for reckless ring-abandon leading to Elege points!

R3,4: Pink still aggressive, but much more disciplined - bouncing on that lead left leg, then pouncing in lead right/follow on left. Elodie a witness more than a combatant - earmuffing up, looking shellshocked as Pink strafes her, walks her down as French legs are routinely questioned. It's six minutes of Pink, but she's having it so much her way, that she's neglecting the body: trainer asks her for more French ribcage "when she's covering up like that."

R5: Pink moving in, bouncing the right/left off Elodie's peek-a-boo guard, then POUNDING French guts right/left. French girl moans in pain, eases herself to right knee...hearts immediately going out to Elege who's SO brave and pretty snivelling in pain on the spot. Elodie plucky, fights off the KO: she's shabby to her right, hands at temples as Pink wades in. It's Pink shelling Elodie - bouncing her off ropes, hammering the prepared defences up top, then looking for more money downstairs. Elege ragdoll at times, but rallying herself: French girl blinking away tears at bell, but picking up her chin, looking all defiant through 5.

R6: Pink attacks with that same ballistic, sudden urgency: Elodie fades to ropes, weaves, reaches to tie her American up. Pink grimacing in the grasp, working hard to yank her hands free: Elodie VERY grabby here, willing to give up her tummy just to wrap arms around Pink's head at times. Leads to consistent, pumping work downstairs: Pink fighting off Elodie's chest, punishing her midsection both hands...French girl grunting in pain, but slowing the tempo, getting ref's breaks, and surviving.

R7: Pink's been walking in the front door all night: Elodie finally greets her with a surprisingly tart jab. Frege's eyes glittering as she scrubs Pink's hairline/cheekbones - hard-tapping French poke enough to win Frege initiative. Angry, frustrated Pink lunging inside to initiate brawling response: Elodie clinching, swamping Pink, bogging her down for ref's break. Crafty stuff - Pink angered, bamboozled into giving away points: French girl all demure, blinking prettily en route to her corner as Pink's fuming across the way.

R8: More Pink impatience: more Elege cool execution. Elodie working the jab - intercepting Pink, scuffing her face, then sidestepping her. French girl mixing in straight right hands in spots - just little tap-tap one-twos up the middle, but it's enough to spoil Pink's approach. Pink vexed and perplexed, although never hurt: at one point, she stands her ground, punches right hands against her own chin and dares Elege to plant-and-throw for real. Elodie refuses, circling to her left, hands up, eyes bright and alert as she snakes more points through 8!

R9: Pink finally, grudgingly shows the up-jab off her hip: throwing it like she thinks it's a sign of weakness, but it's doing the trick as Elodie covers up earmuff. Pink edges in - head butting French-girl guard while hands bang-bang away in tandem downstairs: Elodie groaning with gut-pain, forced to tie up behind Pink's elbows. Pink bodying Frege to ropes, shouldering her, pushing her: Elodie squirms to tie up strong, latching onto Pink with both arms wrapping. Pink held snug, but with her shoulder in Frege's chest, American shoves herself forward, compressing French breasts and pushing the air out of Elodie. Full-bodied jostling loosens up Frege's grip - Pink slowly able to get her hips back and start digging up tummy-meat again. thirsty work: Frege struggling to tie up head-and-arm; Pink shoulder-butting Elodie into ropes, then working hard to keep hands free and working. Bell: Pink pounding in a little belly insurance earns a warning for late-hitting...seething American stomps back to her corner anxious to get more Elodie.

Ref checks the Frege corner to see if she'd like to continue...Elodie visibly exhausted, badly battered, nods fiercely, "OUI!"

R10: Pink batting gloves up off her stool: she's determined to stop French beauty. Elodie shabby off her stool, leaning against ropes for support: she stoops forward behind her mitts, digging in at apron. Cue beatdown - Pink on Frege: one girl trying for the stoppage, the other determined to deny her satisfaction. Sustained, vicious left hooks bounce off Frege's ribs/liver as Pink crowds in, grunts on deliver: ELODIE TAKES A KNEE! Frege frazzled, badly hurt to the body...she's a suffering beauty stealing the hearts of the crowd as she REFUSES TO STAY DOWN! Pink fuming in neutral corner, steaming across the ring after Elodie's 8 count and PINK POUNDS RACK! Oh the humanity...Pink in close, shoulders hunched as she jams away short, pumping lefts and rights into Frege's doughy breasts. Frege wailing in shock, reaching to clinch: Pink palms up, ragdolls French girl into ropes, then gets back on that rack. Elodie's bra shelled back to the stone-age - she can't get off the ropes, can't tie up, and can't stop the harm. THE REF JUMPS IN! Pink shoves the guy off - continues her jug-mugging rampage! Elodie crying out, trying to cross wrists at her breasts - Pink snarling, going at her - ref TACKLING Pink off this time and pinning her to adjacent ropes. TKO10 Pink as she finally finds the way to break Elodie's will!

After: French girl shows spirit - obviously outclassed by a much more physical fighter, Elege fought with skill, guile, and a fine grasp of psychology in turning the crowd largely against Pink by the finale. "Whatever," Pink says of the overwhelming concern everyone seems to have for Elodie, "she's not the first pretty girl who can't break eggs in the ring...I've been fighting chicks like this my whole life. Anyway, I'm disgusted with my performance tonight: sure I won practically every minute of the fight, and I beat her into a drooling wreck by the end, but damn: 9 and two-thirds rounds I let this girl hang around? I'm rusty!" In days to follow, an angry and vindictive Penelope Cruz files an injunction with FCBA high command to bar Frege from fighting in North America, citing Elodie's "Lack of morals" and "sub-par looks". Commission deems the complaint groundless and throws it out.
