BEFORE: "I know none of the Foxfire girls would ever fight Samaire," Cassie declares in prefight: "way too slick. I'll beat her with my pace and compact hitting power, but that doesn't mean I'm taking her for granted. Sammy's an overlooked girl for a good reason: she's dangerous." Rare chance for Armstrong to make a splash...she knows she's got cards to play against Cassie. "I'm taller, probably stronger," Samaire estimates at podium, "she's really biting off a lot against me. I know she's wicked quick, and that's the problem - I've got to jab super sharp in this one, punish her and make her take chances. I do that, and I'm laughing against Cassie!" Yellow sport top for Samaire - black/yellow bumblebee bikini bottoms; small black mitts; black shoes/no socks; short blonde fighting tousle, Samaire. Cassie in white cami-strap sport top; cashmere baby blue crochet bottoms; small white gloves; white shoes/white socks rolled down; hair loose/tangly.

During R1: Cassie jitterbugging about, hands at chin, elbows in; Sammy lithe - sliding round the ring in leggy pivots - tracing little ovals in the air with limber left. Cassie darting in, attempting rapid tic-tac-toe combos; Sammy sliding back, looking to swat Cassie hooks coming in; mark her via pinging jabs, or slide her the smooth right hand when Cassie's bouncing out. Cassie mixing it up ribs and head; Sammy mostly head hunting her shorter foe. Crisp n' nimble stuff - Cassie's bobbing head movement and shifting position keeping her safe; Sammy's long leaning torso and gliding angles keeping HER safe...but Cassie's the aggressor in a tactical first.

R2: Same looks - girls just trying to find each other. Both girls very hard to hit clean...Cassie having the best success pounding lead right hands sidearm to Sammy's ribs. Bell: flushed, excited girls exchange thoughtful glances...it's a rapid-fire chessmatch through 2. During the break, Cassie looks up at her trainer, instructing him thus: "Ponytail me!"

R3: Cassie out in high ponytail/bangs framing face. Exact same style of action: Sammy sleek and effective, but Cassie's winning the rounds by virtue of pressing the pace and making the fight. Sam offering a slapping backhand jab to Cassie's breasts throughout; Bazz corner protesting the backhands to ref during break.

R4: Same again - nobody hurt - everybody so classy - Cassie landing the only loud punches in Samaire's willowy ribcage. Bell: Cassie offers snarky smirk and dancing eyes to go with swishing ponytail...she knows she's getting the extra touches through 4.

R5: Cassie finally wrong-foots Sammy, catching Armstrong a swinging overhand right clean to jaw as Samaire's backing away hands-low...DOWN GOES SAMMY! Cassie grinning, batting mitts together before jogging to neutral corner: Samaire sitting up sniveling/blinking in wonder. Wobbly 8, Armstrong - long limbs rubbery as she covers up: here comes Cassie! Ripping right/lefts snap-snatch the waist, paralyzing limber Sam; slicing right uppercuts off the right foot part Sam's mitts, draping her against ropes in stupor; sudden pay-back burst to jugs - Cassie in there hup-hup-hup, then she's hooking liver like a little maniac. Ponytail bouncing around - digging hooks ripping at Samaire's body...poor Armstrong gurgles in pain, pitches to knees/forearms, her forehead on canvas. Snarling Cassie feeling her oats, draws thumb across her throat to earn an automatic fine before turning away from collapsed foe. That's it...Samaire shuddering - easing herself back onto her haunches, but she's numb in her legs. KO5 to the body, crisp Cassie Scerbo!

After: Pretty tasty...Scerbo elusive even as she's applying pressure - attacking the body to wear down supple foe while winning hard-to-find points...it's a damn good win for Scerbo. "Knew I was too much," Scerbo smiles, "but Samaire's tricky - got to put the work in on her. I LOVE taking girls out to the body - it's so fun to watch them stiffen up and collapse - but my right hand probably got 'er done tonight. Don't think she ever recovered from that knockdown - I mean - who WOULD have?"
