Before: Hathaway fielding a lot of calls from upo-and-coming ingénues looking to add a recognizable name to their resumes: Annie’s sick of it. “I’m going back to Navai rawat fight for this one,” vows the A-list beauty. “I punched hard, got off aggressively and ruined that kid: that’s what I need to do against Yvonne,” Strahovski a little known blonde with a firm later/Durance type physique: pundits excited about her physical makeup, but can she handle the bump in class? “Hathaway’s a good test,” Yvonne confirms. “I think I’m two steps past her at the point--but it’s good to consolidate my position with a vigorous win. I’m not just looking to bang Annie up; I’m looking to separate myself from Laura Vander--whatever; Mary Winstead; and Rachel Nichols--girls like them. “Yvonne in black bra and panties; black gloves; hair in ponytail with wispy bangs. Anne in royal blue bikini, hair battle bun; white gloves.

During R1: Yvonne stepping in aggressive, crouching to punch: Anne pre-empting with jabs, knocking at Strahovski’s brow, then sidestepping pretty. Hathaway’s timely poke, evasive footwork dictate the points: Strahovski not getting off, continually forced to reload and pursue.

R2: Strahovski impatient: no respect for Anne’s game as blonde continues to press up the middle, trying to jump in. Hathaway not as quick or dynamic a fighter--but she’s showing superior judgment and timing. Anne jabbing just to take initiative, then sidestepping, forcing Yvonne to adjust her feet. Minute mark: Annie catches Strahovski a hook/straight right hand combo bingo on her face; Yvonne startled, blinking. Annie: shift to the right; left hook to Yvonne’s left eye from the angle; chopping short right to chin; wider, slapping hook to Yvonne’s left eye from the angle; chopping short right to chin; wider, slapping hook brushing lips as Yvonne’s toppling backward in shock. Yvonne hits ropes badly buzzed, disorganized: Anne scoots-to, hooks Yvonne’s jaw; drops that short, straight right again. Strahovski’s head bangs back, hands drop--SHE’S SWAYING ON THE SPOT! Yvonne drooping forward: Annie shoulder’s bunched clips the left uppercut, clips the right uppercut, clips the left uppercut--picking Yvonne up on her drowsy face and STRAHOVSKI GOES DOWN! It’s OVER!--KO2 in spectacular fashion--Anne Hathaway!

After: Annie proves prophetic, showing heavy hands and accurate combinations we haven’t seen since the Rawat fight. “So much for ‘stepping-stone’ Annie,” Hathaway chortles in post fight. “Yvonne came at me with no respect, and I checked her the F out! THAT’S a little more like it!”
