Before: “Battlin’ Delanys” lace’em up--Dana won the last time out, treating Kim shabby I the process--grudges, hard feelings all around. DD upbeat, confident: “It’ going to be easier this time.” Kim wowing on onlookers at the weigh-in, looking edgy and hard through the limbs and torso. KD in light blue bra and panties, DD in pink.

During R1: Dana cutting off the ring, right hand under her chin, left hand across her belly, working hard in a first minute to lay down a banging carpet if short curling rights and lefts. Kim showing composure, covering up, moving her upper body and midway through she stones Dana with a short counter left hook to beat DD to the punch Fight turns on a dime as Delany foes wobbly butt and looks to clinch--a happy Kim digs into the ribs around Dana’s arms as the ref works for the break. KD’s round, sends Dana back to her corner with a dazed look.

R2: All Kim Delaney as she displays crisp, straight punches, working hooks and crosses off her jab as Dana bobs in a staggering retreat. Midway through the round, KD getting off with popping blows to the head and body, starts chugging her arms up the middle, pouring in lefts and rights to the breasts and chin as Dana stumbles forward to clinch. Big smile from Kim as she steps back in good shape, walking Dana into hard alternating uppercuts and DANA GOES DOWN! Blood trickling from the corner of her mouth, eyes glassy, Double D takes a groggy 8 with over a minute left, Kimmie finishing up strong, stuffing her jab into Dana’s eye and punching her up against the ropes--DD crossing her arms, bending forward and back in weary effort to slip.

R3: Kim and Dana, shoulder to shoulder, just bashing it up in heartless tit for tar action mid ring. Hunkered in against one another, occasionally a head with pop up from a short uppercut, or a leg will buckle from a digging hook to the midriff--neither girl takes a backward step, Still punching at the bell--girls are separated, each breathing hard, flushed and anxious to get back at it.

R4: Kim backing off, backhanding her jab rather casually, then suddenly stepping forward to time a crunching short left hook into Dana’s chin, putting a deep bend in DD’s legs and once again redhead looks to clinch. KD with a satisfied smile, digging alive inside, keeping her head on KD’s collar bone and going to the waist with thudding, 2-fisted glee. DD outworking her cousin over the balance the round, but KD’s flashy power carries the points.

R5: DD found something, bobbing her way in past the jab, getting her head outside the left shoulder to take away Kimmie’s hook and the redhead starts to do good work around the hips and belly. KD laying in, not punching, trying to butt Dana’s face with that left shoulder, but Double D keeps good pressure to the final minute, Down the stretch, KD splves the angle with a little right uppervut, following through in a tight arc to her left ear as DD gets clipped up at the bell.

R6: Kim Delaney jerks Dana with yet another damaging hook, banging it off the jaw and stepping away as DD swoons momentarily helpless. DD hurt, grits her teeth and stands her ground as both girls start to punch away at power punching range. Head snapping blows back and forth bounce off skulls and ribcages--vicious 2-way slugging rages after the bell as once again, KD’s gaudy power early decides a round.

R7: Dana getting back inside putting her head outside Kim’s left shoulder, working with brisk touches to the body, then walking KD in a little circle midring., KD outworked, getting outfoxed by Dana’s subtle angles and swatting punches--final minute sees Kim’s butt touch rope for the first time, DD leaning full into her opponent to pin and punch at the bell.

R8: Kim stepping left, jamming that jab onto Dana’s face--DD breaks down wearily after a minute of trying to get inside. KD starts to play, jerking a short left uppercut off her jab,  the drilling straight right hands that are landing way too hard against Dana’s swollen brow. DD obviously discouraged at the bell, fielding a tremendous percentage of Kim’s straight licks this round.

R9: Kim brimming with confidence as she walks calmly to midring, sets up behind her jab and starts pounding away at a sluggish Dana D. DD looking sleepy, reacting late--she’s busting up and getting hurt as KD rolls up. Simultaneously left hooks goes Kim’s way as Dana’s knees buckle--Kim’s eyes light up at the opportunity--she butts Dana back with shoulder in the in the chest and NAILS her with a perfectly turned left hook. Head snap, lights dimming--DOWN GOES DANA! Kimmie D can’t wipe the grin off her face as she laps up the sight--KO9 Kim Delaney.

After: Dana devastated wit this loss and shocked at the power Kim was carrying, The hook especially--not known as a big Kim Delaney weapon--hurt Dana throughout this bout, forcing her to clinch and break down much more than anticipated. Nice showing for Kim gets the phone ringing--star of “Providence” said to be interested in a dime (if Simguy knew her name of course. Archer Note: Melina Kanakaredes)
