Once the scourge of the lightweight division--Shannon Elizabeth best known now for outrageous demands on promoters, often pricing herself out of fights and making equally outrageous proclamations of her status in the sport--it’s like she can’t even remember ever being beaten. Sims looking to re-establish herself and she does so big-time with an impressive stop of a girl whose style could have been very difficult for Molly.

Nothing gentle or tentative about Sims I this one--she drops Elizabeth with a “Hello” hook in the first minute and never looks back. Elizabeth under constant flailing attack,
Jabbed senseless whenever she tried to retreat to safety, lashed about her head and shoulders whenever she covered up. Molly planted her feet in this one--falling in after punching to wrap her arms around Shannon, bullying and mauling, pulling the brunette’s guard apart, then lathering on some more--it was, for Sims, an impressive display of lanky-limbed power. Shannon would visit the canvas once more in the fourth and in the ensuing Sims finishing run--Shannon turned her back and cried out her submission, hanging shamefully over the top rope as the ref  pulled a seething Sims off. Elizabeth carving out new lows, quits in a fight in which she could have competed and even won with a little heart.
