Before: Strapping true-welters jockeying for position: important test for both beauties, Shields surging back to prominence after winning the welterweight tournament in ‘05--she’s looking to vault from that accomplishment to welterweight gold in ‘06. “I think welterweights wide open,” Brooke assesses in preflight, “especially with Jeri on the throne. I don’t want to look TOO good against Henstridge--don’t want to spook Ryan--but if I can nudge Natasha aside, I’ll be one step closer to getting what I want.: Henny rounding into form--she’s becoming a real total-package acknowledges, “but I don’t think she can still compete at the highest skill levels. Am I here to expose Brooke? Partially yes--I’ll admit that, But it’s mostly about me and moving myself forward: I don’t have anything against shields per se--other than she’s in my way.” Brooke in green lace push-up, orange Hooter’s style trunks: Nat in black lace push up and panties, hair pulled in scruffy battle-bun.

During R1: Spiteful jab from Henny early--she’s stepping it in, spearing it, putting shields in her heels, big, booming right hands, Henny to Shields: Nat slanting ‘em in and down, pounding them off the pale expanse of Brooke’s torso. Furious intensity from Natasha early--eyes blazing, lips curled in menace: Shields really taken back by the viciousness of the punching. Brooke in retreat, hands up to block the jab, but those harpooning rights to the body have her cringing, breaking down a little, Nat steps it up--long right hand down into the body; jagged left hook off the front foot, smashing past Brooke’s raised right mitt. Shields trying to get balanced, looking for a right hand--Natasha hounding her foe with rangy power shots. Race to right hands: Nat’s fist detonates off Brooke’s jaw as Shields’ right sails--BIG BROOKE GIOES DOWN! Corkscrewing descent--Brooke out on her feet as Henny lands the hardest chincheck in recent memory, sprawling Shields in a KO’d starfish on her back (left foot spasming ominously as she lies insensate). Stunning, savage, KO1 Natasha Henstridge.

After: Henny fists clenched, arms rigid as she bellows in exultation--thrilling KO blast dredges up primordial feelings of savagery as blonde revels in the moment. Brooke SO out cold--deep, deep slumber on her back--officials gently prodding at her, removing her mouthpiece, trying to bring her around--she’s on her back many, many minutes as Henny’s giving BLONDE! Mag interviews and basking in the glow. “I worried her to the body,” Nat explains, “I had her backing up and my right hands to her torso were really bothering her. She just didn’t know what to expect--I mean, my JAB was hurting her. I got her quick and finished her up--it’s a great, great win for me!” It’s the shot heard ‘round the division”: Nat Henstridge will KO any welterweight she faces if she ever catches a girl like that again.
