The road back to respectability for Sims promised o be long and arduous, with tough fights in front of sparse crowds, for little money and less recognition seemingly her only option. The journey began on a high note though: many favored rugged Taylor Cole to make short work of the former model, but Sims showed a serious side in standing up to the beach bully, backing her down and eventually making her quit.

Moilly came in big--finally shedding that model physique and entering this fight and full fledged lightweight, if not a svelte welterweight in the ring. And she came in hardnosed--this wasn’t the cutey-pie Sims we’ve seen boxing and losing, to the likes to Alana de la Garza. Not that she wasn’t professional: when there was jabbing to be done, Sims did it, piercing Cole to face and stomach; when angles were used, Sims employed them, at times thoroughly outclassing her more rudimentary opponent, But make no mistake, Molly didn’t come to the beach to finesse Taylor Cole. Each and every round, Sims hammered the left side of Taylor’s available face right hands and scorched that taut brunette tummy clean-up hooks. Sims dug in and stood her ground when Cole tried to bum’s rush her to he ropes, often brawling Cole to a standstill and backing the brunette up,. The surprise on Taylor’s face was plain to see: clearly, the Molly Sims she had prepared for had failed to materialize under the sun.

Nevertheless, it almost fell apart for Sims in the fifth, Taylor’s clubbing haymakers landed in deadly earnest that round, bludgeoning Sims from pillar to post, sending her reeling across the ring and threatening to drop the blonde throughout the stanza. But once again, Sims would surprise--showing a tough, gritty determination lacking in earlier performances, and in so doing, successfully drawing Cole’s re4serves into the fight and using them up early, With Taylor punching herself out, a battered Sims rallied and steadily took the fight to her wilting foe, A systematic blonde sixth evolved into a pounding rout in the seventh that saw Cole show the same sort of mindless will to survive as had Sims. With Molly momentarily gassed, Taylor rallied and win a sloppy, exhausted 8thm, but in the 9th, Molly would not be denied, A badly battered Taylor Cole was jabbed to the ropes and comprehensively pummeled as Sims drive home right crosses and clean-up hooks. The ref would step in, saving a staring, crossed-arm Cole from further punishment, A panting, battered Sims had done what she had set out to do: bang out some hard-won credibility at the expense of a dangerous beach-brawler, on that girls home turf. A most un-Sims like performance.
