PARTIAL REPORT

TKO8 Cuoco

With Shakira catching boot, Electra stunned in her lay-up against Knightley, more pressure than expected was on Kaley to live up to her potential in this fight. Weisz a clever, crafty Brit wasn’t expected to really threaten the taller, more athletic Cuoco--but that’s what would have made an upset all the more galling.

In the end, BSE need not have worried. Kaley controlled matters from the onset, perhaps not always with as much intensity as her corner would have liked, but certainly managing the ring and her opponent with poise and patient execution. Kaley worked her foe’s cute face with a discouraging jab all night long, slowing graduating to fine right crosses and cuffing hooks in rounds that more or less all resembled each other in the steady, one-sidedness of the action.

In the sixth, Kaley started to separate herself with her ability to land lead hooks and right hands with no setup--suddenly scoring from the outside to catch Rachel looking.. As the lumps added up, Rachel’s eyes told the story: this girl’s too fast for me, too strong, I’m getting beat up. The TKO came as a wilting and badly discouraged Weisz slumped and rolled under a flashy stream of Cuoco lefts and rights. Sunny smile from Kaley as she heaps a pasting on an outgunned brunette--finally someone does what they’re supposed to for BSE.;
