UD10 Cuoco

Speed often kills in boxing Vicky Pratt is not without speed, and her formidable fitness musculature has made her one of the worst risk/reward scenarios in the game, but on this night, the youthful fast-twitch velocity of Kaley Cuoco would prove absolutely decisive, It was a magical nigh for Ms Cuoco--her Finest as a professional prizefighter: a;; too often, Vicky found herself relegated to spectator status as her gifted young opponent simply stole the show.

It started in the second round when Kaley’s fuel-injected attack began to seriously disrupt Vicky’s sturdy defences. Penetrating with lead left hooks, left uppercuts and slashing lead rights--Cuoco would drop Victoria at the minute mark, then go on to consolidate with a fearful pummeling along the ropes. Pratt appeared awestruck against the cables, her face in her gloves, body tilted forward as Kaley friskily treated herself to all thing Vicky--almost at will.

The rampage continued on throughout the first half: Pratt shocked o one knee off a sudden lead right hand in the third; Pratt down THREE MORE TIMES in the fourth from a varicosity of circus punches. Vicky was finished as an effective fighting force at this point--busted up, staggered, psychologically routed: only Pratt’s tireless legs and headstrong nature prevented her from succumbing to the multiple ref’s queries during the between-round breaks.]

With Pratt creaking on her heels, Kaley began to work the body--ad you can tell BSE women have been watching Sugar Ray Leonard tapes by the way most of them have been snatching hooks o other women’s torsos recently. Balanced springy on her lead left leg. Kaley doubled a snappy hook first t the body, then to the jaw as poor Vicky jerked and cringed in receipt. It was a singular sight: Pratt seemingly helpless, sitting hurt in the ropes as Kaley ripped away picture-perfect punches without a care in he world.

Despite establishing near-total ring supremacy, Kaley was still vulnerable to her own lapses and mistakes, and I the seventh, she got caught and dropped a short hook spraying a loose combination on a tightly bundled-up Pratt. Cuoco bounced right up from it, proceeded to box out the rest of the round, and most of the arena assumed the flash knockdown to be more of a blip than a trend. Kaley’s savage, unrelenting attack in the 8th and 9th--scoring two more knockdowns in the process--seemed to support that contention, but the fights ARE scheduled for 10mespecially when a girl with the pride of Vicky Pratt is involved.

Cuoco would walk in and get NAILED a short-clouting right hand on the chin to open the 20th, dropping to all fours, and for the first time in the fight, Kaley Cuoco found herself badly hurt. She rallied off the canvas and took a brave 8, but this final stanza would be fought on Vicky Pratt’s terms, Pressing Kaley at the ropes, a battered and demoralized Vicky P fought valiantly off Kaley’s chest, mugging and tearing bat the young  blonde as Cuoco ably defended the pocket to the final bell.

A stunned and humiliated Vicky Pratt shuddered with the effort of restraining her tears as the wide decision was announced. Never in her life had Pratt been treated so miserably in a prize fight. Prompting pundits to wonder aloud if Vicky’s fitness past were catching up to her. It is a harsh fact that women who come up through the fitness ranks get old early from the astonishing punishment they receive: all those hard miles may well have taken their toll on Ms. Pratt, in vivid contrast, Kaley was giddy in victory, yelping with pleasure as her hand was raised, and glorying in the enthusiastic crowd response to her athletic display on the evening. Rarely has the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat been so poignantly expressed in an FCBA ring.
