TKO9 Judd

Classy barbarism described the action between these two blunt, no-frills, and yet thinking-man’s fighters. With no quarter asked or given, both women sought to close and bang hard on the inside, each working diligently and methodically to ruin the other smash-mouth style.

A surprisingly sluggish Judd nearly got herself excused early as Carla exploded out of the blocks, shutting Ashley out over the first two heats and landing a pair of ringing ring uppercuts late in the second to put Ashley wobbly butt. The third became the pivots round of the entire fight: either Judd would stand up for herself and offer meaningful resistance, or Gugino would steamroller her big-named nemesis. The former scenario prevailed as Ashley firmed hammered out points toe-to-toe, and this fight would begin anew in the fourth.

Rounds four through six featured blistering, brutal renegotiations as Carla sought to reimpose her will while Judd looked to struggle on top in decisive fashion. Although punishing, two-way exchanges characterized the heats, the unmistakable edge went to Ashley as she slowly took the initiative away from Carla in grinding fashion. Judd systematically abused her foe’s rounded arms, hammering  at them with short, clubbing strokes,. Both women pounded tummy and flank, but when they fell into each other’s arms afterwards, it was usually Judd walking Gugino back. And Judd’s jab was decisively superior--often doubling up in stiff tandem, routinely pre-empting Carla and putting her o the defensive. In a thudding contest of brutal force, it may well have been Ashley’s educated stick which proved the ultimate difference between these two.

The final three heats saw a terrible loosening of Carla take place as Ashley’s thumping offensives began to win the fight. It was Gugino retreating always and everywhere now, despite her still-vigorous punching to Ashley’s midsection. Judd’s eyes were bright, alert: Carla’s dim, moist. Gugino’s head jerked and lolled as Judd clubbed at Carla’s head and shoulders: Judd’s blocking defense was still stout as she covered up and received Carla’s offering in good order. Carla’s breasts came under bruising assault as Ashley pushed and bashed her way inside, clouting Gugino’s heavy sacks and deeply disturbing discouraging her. It was sad to see, tough to watch as bit by bit, Ashley Judd simply took away Carla Gugino’s ability to defend herself.

Ane exhausted, battered Carla G would finish up this fight sitting in the ropes, drooping forward face-in-gloves, stubbornly soaking up thick sheets of punching from a resolute, methodical Ashley J. Judd fought with a stern expression, placing her punches into Carla with consistent leverage--nothing was wasted or hurried as Ashley simply bashed away at the dregs. No one punch did it: instead, the beef sound of one-way shellack, and the wilting look of Carla’s pale frame in the ropes was enough to bring the ref in. Ashley simply stepped away as the official waved this off: just another day in the office for brick-mitted, hard-working Judd.
