Before: Schnarre playing it safe--Tia still a threat at welter, but she’s soft, heavy coming up to play with the big blonde champion--Monika working the name recognition defence  ploy to a T. Still, Carrere a tough veteran with a punishing right hand to the breadbasket, she can test the younger woman if she can get inside that Klitschko-esque jab.

During R1: Carrere going right at the champ--Tia with the left up around her ear, dips in low, then throws her weight behind thumping right hands to the meat of Monika’s midriff. Big blonde beaten backwards--she’s shocked to be up against the ropes, taking punishment. Nice work from Tia--she’s fighting off Schnarre’s chest, crouching low ala Marciano, saying side to side and pulling haymakers into Monika’s body and biceps

R2: Monika ineffective on her heels last round--this round she gets on her toes, starts pounding u the middle, doing her Klitschko number on a stubborn Carrere. Tia on the outside, rammed onto her heels just by the jab and shaken whenever Schnarre can fit that bashing right between the gloves, Monika showing nice hand speed for a big woman, and she’s swatting hooks off the jab, confusing Tia’s forward defence. Schnarre’s power evident--punches are moving Carrere, buffeting her off balance. Punishing shutout for Schnarre as Tia steps along the perimeter, hands up in hopes of blunting the incoming.

R3: Monika busier, really busting Tia up the middle with battering ram one-twos,l Carrere picking her spots however, coming in with that left on her ear and scooping blockbuster right hands o the blonde’s solid gut. Schnarre showing big woman savvy, palming up on the shorter girl’s shoulders or arms, pulling and spinning Tia off balance to prevent sustained inside fighting from the veteran.

R4: Tia having some success jabbing with the taller girl--straightening Monika up and making her hesitate--Carrere able to step in that booming right to the breadbasket to good effect this round, By the middle minute--Schnarre’s up straight against the ropes, making panicky pushing moves as Tia goes into that Marciano weave. Carrere looping lefts and rights around the blonde’s guard, clocking Monika’s jaw, then a driving right to the midsection puts the champ wobbly butt! Tia just ramming home the blow, finishing up with her right shoulder against Schnarre’s chest, heaving the blonde back into the ropes as Monika sobs out loud in pain. Bruising beat down to the bell--Schnarre wilting forward--Tia palming the girl’s biceps, then walloping away with either mitt up underneath or behind the elbows. Schnarre finishes up blubbery, stupefied as Carrere hammers out strong points this round.

R5: Hurting Monika goes back to that heavy, accurate stick--Tia punished, kept outside--all she can do is keep her mitts up, step along the perimeter and wait for openings. Schnarre spearing Carrere at will, keeping the brunette to one or two lunging shots, then palming, pushing, or spinning the smaller woman off. Schnarre repeatedly warned for these tactics, but it’s a good recovery round for the champ.

R6: Tia rolling with Monika’s right, answering back with that stuffing right hand to the meat of the belly--Schnarre grimacing, giving ground--she just doesn’t like it down there, Classic gritty Carrere effort--she gets her head under Monika’s chin, hands pushing Monika’s biceps back, then heavy and hard to the belly as the blonde’s hips shunt back. Good sweaty pressure applied--Tia mauling her girl, pinning her to the ropes, outworking Schnarre in the inside. It ain’t pretty, but it’s more points for Carrere--she’s all even with the heavily favored blonde after 6.

R7: Pitched battle as both women have their moments, Schnarre getting her way when she can ram the jab home--she’s busting Tia up something terrible--Carrere in her heels, getting chewed up early, Middle minute, Carrere getting low, weaving the jab, driving into Schnarre’s midriff with that Jirov-esque body shot, and once in, brunette keeps working as the blonde looks to palm-up rather than punch. Down the stretch, Schnarre re-takes the initiative, knocking on Tia’s face with that bashing stick and a HARD straight right hand has Carrere stepping in fence post holes. Monika stays on her, cuffing the hook and DRILLING straight rights--sudden eruption of lefts and rights has Tia in stupor! Carrere battered to the ropes--hands up, but ineffective as punches hammer into her jaw and face. AND THE~REF STEPS IN! Carrere stopped out at the ropes--TKO7 Monika Schnarre.

After: Tough Tia protests the stoppage, but her face tells a different story--Carrere beaten unrecognizable by the blonde strong woman as Schnarre bangs out the win. Monika hurt and troubled by the brunette veteran--critics split as to what the implications of this bout are. On one hand--tremendous offensive display from the big blonde who put her punches together better than she ever has to get the KO. On the other, an aging, overweight, ex-champ with some serious mileage on her legs gave Monika all she wanted until the stoppage.
