Before: Fought on Warner sound stages, two of the WB’s best lock it up as Hess looks to make a name for herself without preamble. Those who’ve seen her in training swear Hess is the goods, and a whippet fat-free physique certainly looks promising--but everyone’s got a plan until they get hit. Hess in teal cotton camisol and panties, Carpenter in red cotton jockeys.

During R1-3: A more conservative than usual Carpenter boxes safety first for 3 rounds, losing the first and winning the next two in close, tough to score stanzas, Charisma up on her toes, not offensive enough in the first, but sharpens up the punishing jab. To land several hurtful right crosses in rounds 2 and 3 to mark up Hess’ beautiful face, Sandra doing the stalking, gloves low, looking to slug, bt unable to cut off the ring often enough to make things interesting.

R4: Action picks up as Carpenter gets off her bicycle. Vicious exchange of hooks goes Hess’ way, leaving Charisma wobbly butt and glassy-eyed early, and Sandra goes to work. Letting her hands go, Hess shows blinding hand speed, spanking up and down Carpenter’s torso with batting lefts and rights. Charisma with shot legs, fights gallantly off the ropes bur in the final minute, a slashing right hand across the mouth has her drooping dangerously at the bell, Hess raises her fists in the air as she saunters back to her corner, leaving Carpenter a pouty-mouthed ruin.

R5: Carpenter shows her pedigree, shaking off the punishment and stalking out to meet Hess mid ring. Bang bang double hooks to the body and head have Hess hurting and covering early, and Carpenter takes advantage, butting the blonde with a shoulder, snapping off a quick left hook to nearly drop Sandra at the minute mark. Hess on her heels, shows good defensive acumen in slipping a lot of Carpenter leather, but the brunette keeps up the pressure, walking Sandra down, banging he with brisk combinations, and forcing the retreat. Shutout Carpenter.

R6: A return to close, nip and tuck action with both girls standing, bending at the waist and banging with authority. Carpenter’s withering left hooks bust up Hess midway through the round, but it’s the blonde finishing the stronger, punishing Charisma’s firm abs with spanking one-twos at the bell.

R7: Carpenter looking a little woozy from the body shots, and Hess outworks this  round, book ending the exchanges, and lighting Carpenter up with sharp counter punchers off tremendous upper body movement. Hess able to snake her torso up and down, and get her body in behind whipping punches has Carpenter hanging on at several points this round.

R8: Charisma roars back, banging Hess to he body with the left hook, then doubling it to the jaw, Sandra knocked to her left stumbles into a crushing short right hand on the mouth midway through and Hess is hurt! Carpenter touching her with the jab, hurls right hands to the body to buckle Sandra’s legs, but she can’t put the blonde down. Round ends  as Hess wobbles helplessly in front of an enraged Carpenter, who bangs away with rising lefts and rights to the bell.

R9: Hess now looks spent, coming out open mouthed, jabbing half-heartedly, and quickly getting beaten down as Carpenter slugs her to the ropes. Carpenter digging to the body with left hooks, bodies Hess back into the ropes, then pulls out to lash the blonde with chopping right hands on the cheek, Sandra in a bad way at the bell, taking too many punches, and not responding effectively.

R10: Charisma Carpenter marches out to meet her girl and puts a merciless two-fisted beating on Sandra Hess to close the show. Hess quickly broken down as Carpenter’s fists slash in from either side, and Sandra, reeling backwards is caught flush over and over to the ropes. Carpenter too strong, pours it on, tearing the blonde up with wide to side pounding blows, banging Hess’ head back and forth and crushing the blonde’s strong body with the vicious left hook. The ref jumps in, saving a defenceless Sandra Hess from further torment, and Charisma Carpenter records a dramatic 10th round KO.

After: Brilliant blonde/brunette clash leaves both women spent, but Carpenter showing a champion’s will to come out on top. Battering Hess into a stoppage. Charisma took her fair share of punishment as Sandra showed everything but one-punchs topping power in this fight.
