Round 1
Cautious start by both girls, both looking to land their jabs in the other's face, but neither wanting to get hurt. Finally, Kym moves in, bats Charlie around the body, but takes a barrage of punches to the face, and has to back off, covering up. Charlie in control at the bell.

Round 2

Charlie in quickly, clipping Kym's mouth with solid jabs, backing the older girl into the ropes, then landing to the ribs and belly, but Kym steams back, ripping a big left hander into Charlie's jaw, then another to the body, and Brooks is hurt, backing off, turned around by the wily Marsh, who then clubs the younger girl around the head with an energetic two fisted assault. Kym tires in the closing 30 seconds, and finishes the round in the corner, taking a bodybeating.

Round 3
A swollen-faced Charlie Brooks is in trouble early in the round as Kym drills her right glove through her guard again and again, her left eye beginning to bruise and close, but she is brave, bides her time, and hurts Kym with a big right hook across the chops, staggering the northerner. Once again, it's Kym on the ropes as the round closes, her body taking some good shots.

Round 4
Kym is slower to cross the ring than Charlie, and is soon being pinged to the jaw by the young blonde's left jab, her lips beginning to look puffy and sore, then Charlie nails Kym with a right hook to the face, which has the older girl hurt and staggering into the ropes. The blonde looks for an uppercut to finish this, but Kym blocks it, and back she comes, her right hook thudding into Charlie's face, that eye now closing rapidly. Kym hurts Charlie with a solid right to the mouth, another to that battered eye, and Brooks is in trouble at the bell.

Round 5
Charlie quickly forward - she knows she must knock Kym out or she will be helpless. Kym on the ropes again, taking a battering to the ribs, but the punches aren't hurting, and she turns her girl, fires some more solid blows onto that damaged cheek/eye, and the blonde is turning away, takes a hard left to the gut, another to the mouth, and she's down. Poor Charlie - she scrambles to her feet, but it's over, the referee stops the contest.
Kym stopped Charlie in Round 5

Kym takes the applause, then walks to Charlie's corner, helps her up - surely not a walk of shame - no - she holds the beaten blonde's arm aloft, and parades the ring with her, a huge mark of respect.
