BEFORE: "Hannah's a tune up," Vanessa says briskly in prefight. "I need the work - I haven't been as active as I wanted to be this year, but all that's going to change in 2011. First off, I'm not going to wait for Cassie to show some compete: if she's not willing to fight me, I'll bypass her and go directly to Hayden. I'll also be asking the FCBA head office to cut back welterweight bookings by 25% to make room for my expanded agenda in 2011. A lot of fights; a ton of wins; and Vanessa Hudgens with belts before next Christmas - that's the plan, fellahs!" Spearritt flabbergasted at Vanessa's arrogance: it's almost as if Hudgens doesn't acknowledge how cute and special Spearritt is! "Vanessa Hudgens is certainly a rude little balloon in want of a good popping!" Hannah insists at podium. "American fighters do tend to be gifted talkers: let's see if Vanessa has ANYTHING with which to back up her mouth!"

Vanessa in white/tan horizontal barred bikini; long black hair curly/loose; small tan sheepskin mittens (won't cut, but do promote bruising). Hannah in pink bra/panties; small tan sheepskin mittens; blonde tousle cut.

During R1: Vanessa walking businesslike to Hannah - jabbing her 3 pesky left hands; chucking in the right; hooking the belly; bumping the left shoulder/chickenwing left elbow to back Hannah up. Spearritt in rigid earmuff to receive these shots: she's back at Vanessa with left/right/left clouts to either jawline - sheepskin mitts landing with muted thuds. Vanessa answers compact hooks-to-jug: Hannah responds hooks to tummy. Delicious, tidy delivery from both - girls leaning in close, getting off tart - good frisky flyweight hup-hup, both ways. All even till late: Hannah catches 'Nessa a hook to jaw, wobbling her; tidies up a right hand to chin - sitting Vanessa down! Hudgy up quick, blinking and pouting: after 8 - Hannah swarms her with both fists flying! Seconds left - 'Nessa butt in ropes, cringing behind her mitts, wailing into her palms as Hannah unleashes a whirlwind of blows...VANESSA'S DOWN! Hudgens on all fours, shaking and blubbering...she drops the first via disasterous 10-7!

R2: Similar stuff - girls step-to, work hard, each touching the other up in turns - Vanessa getting the better of it, but Hannah in there competing. Midway through, hard right hand turns Vanessa's chin aside...she's stepping in fence post holes, hurt all over again! Hannah grinning - jabbing stiff to rival tits, dropping in another zesty right cross: 'Nessa takes on the teeth, goes scooting to her rear end for another knockdown! Nessa blinking away tears, shuddering on the spot as ref gives her 8: Hannah all grins-and-dimples in her corner, kicking every square inch of Vanessa's butt through 2!

R3: Hudgens adjusts - gives Hannah a little lateral movement - brunette pivoting clockwise around that Disney-sweet left jab, body and head. Hannah batting away poke, following Vanessa around: Hudgens dictating terms of turning engagement mid-ring. Down the stretch, Hannah does it again - chopping in a lusty right hand off a clever feint to put 'Nessa wobbly butt: blonde girl steals ANOTHER Hudgens round with selective power through 3!

R4: Lateral movement WAS working: Vanessa sticks with it. Left hand technique effective: Vanessa sticks with jabs and hooks, rotating clockwise around scores to head and body. Hudgens jabbing tummy, then fading back - changing distance on Hannah, then sidestepping her...little bits of finesse help to stabilize 'Nessa's front while KO-happy Hannah's loading up, looking for one big shot.

R5: Hannah with a surprise pounce able to hop in off her jab, set up on Vanessa's chest: furious chugging frenzy of hup-hup slugging develops on the inside. Girls rubbing away forehead-on-forehead, sampling each other's breadbaskets and breasts - muted sheepskin gloves thump-skidding away on sleek little chassis. Spearritt obviously happy in her work, clubbing Vanessa's cheeks and templs, working her body, backing her up: Hudgy effective inside, but simply unable to hold canvas against uber-aggressive Hannah through 5. During the break - Vanessa sulking prettily on her stool - corner doing all it can to keep Hudgens focussed after so much disappointment.

R6: Same again - Hannah able to jab her way in, set up shop on Vanessa's chest and outwork her toe to toe. Hudgy a little demon with that left hand - working hooks to Hannah's ribs; picking her chin up uppercuts - but nothing fazes Hannah. Spearritt cleaning up on Vanessa all around the ring, keeping her hands moving hup-hup-hup, bell to bell. Hudgens blinking away tears en route to her corner...everything's going wrong!

R7: Vanessa fading back, weight on right (back) leg...Hannah hopping in, looking to lead a right hand: 'Nessa kisses her the check hook to chin first, grinning as Hannah flops face-first to canvas! Hudgens preening...Hannah pushing up onto her knees, shaking her head, beating the count. Cue beat-down after the 8 count, but HANNAH WON'T HAVE IT! Triumphant brunette wades into a little blonde buzzsaw as snarling Hannah fights desperately off ropes. Hudgens rebuked, draws Hannah to midring, begins circling her clockwise: brunette gets back to work touching Hannah clever jabs, smart hooks-off-the-jab to preserve a 10-8 7th!

R8: 'Nessa feints, leads a right hand that catches Hannah flush on face. Spearritt sputtering, blinking, stepping funky. 'Nessa fades back, drawing Hannah forward: another lead right hand off the feint scores to face - sheepskin mitt thump-skidding off shiny British brow. 'Nessa roams to her right, then slides back, dragging that left (front) foot. Hannah doggedly forward, trying to close-and-bang: she EATS a tremendous check hook as 'Nessa pops hips-right and gets it glorious off the right foot. HANNAH GOES DOWN! Spearritt pitching onto her face, desperately hurt once again...she's a shabby wreck, pushing up off her chest, reaching to the ropes, climbing them, swaying on the spot. Spearritt insists she's fine...ref lets it go...ON COMES VANESSA! Hudgens pouncing in - sorting Hannah out with a pushing left in the chest, then SMOKING her the slinging right hand. Hannah reeling, blinking, torso sloshing to the right as her legs freeze up. VANESSA ON HANNAH - ALL RIGHT HANDS! Hudgens releases the hounds - pushing the left hand against Hannah's chest to stabilize her, then cleaning her up with murderous, sweeping rights and BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Spearritt slopping to right shoulder, then rolling to her back parallel to ropes...she's battered senseless - eyes shut, mouth open as Vanessa leaps away the KO8 victrix.

After: Hudgens battered, well behind on the cards - she quickly turns spin-meister in postfight. "I had to give Hannah some rope, had to build up her confidence if I wanted rounds out of her," 'Nessa explains. "Had I unleashed my full fury right away? Fight's over in seconds. I wanted to get work, not pad my record. This way - I got both!"
