BBU champion Lisa is dressed in her trademark black, looking confident, and barely glancing across the room when Sarah is led in, her voluptuous body barely contained in a pink combo, and she looks hot! Lisa is as surly as usual towards her opponent, “Look at this blonde bimbo – needs her ass kicking good and hard, all the way home!” but Sarah counters quickly, “Way I heard it is last time you took on anyone worthwhile it was you getting your ass kicked, b###h! Yeah, Katy Perry sends her regards!”

Round 1

Lisa starts strongly, catching Sarah straight away with her right jab, jerking the blonde’s head back, but the pretty Canadian is a tough cookie, and belts Lisa to the body with hooks from both left and right, the singer grunting and covering up, recovering well enough to be in control again by the bell, cuffing the actress’s face with that accurate, stinging right jab.

Lisa’s round – but close

Round 2

Sarah quick into action in the second, working on Lisa’s body and moving her around the ring, looking to weaken her and tire her, but the singer is able to keep flicking that right jab into sarah’s face, and she’s reddening the skin of the actress’s cheeks now, knocking her head back – and Sarah’s having to hold on, trapping Lisa’s arms by her side, taking a breather. The ref separates them, then Lisa stuns Sarah with a solid right hand, the Canadian’s head twisting sideways, but when the Brit moves in closer, she gets banged round the body, and it’s Lisa defending at the bell.

Just Lisa’s round again.

Round 3

Lisa taking the fight to Sarah, zipping right jabs into her face, and the blonde backs off , her defence uncertain, and she gets herself trapped on the ropes, Maffia landing those right jabs, then – oooh – she gets her with a left hook, and Sarah is down, sliding down the ropes to the canvas, taking a count of 7. Still on the ropes after regaining her feet, Sarah protects her face, takes a few blows to her ribs, then clips Lisa across the mouth with her own left hook, and the Brit’s face is a picture of surprise as she gets caught again to the head before Chalke barrels her into a corner and gets her to the body with those big hooks, the singer not quite as in charge at the bell as she thought she’d be.

Lisa takes the round due to the knockdown.

Round 4

Lisa all action, pumping her right jab into Sarah’s face, and she hurts the Canadian with a left hook to the head again, making the blonde hold on. Sarah’s a canny fighter, and she’s getting her senses back, at the same time roughing the black girl up a bit, thumping her in the gut with those hooks before the ref parts them. Immediately after the break, Sarah bangs a left hook into Lisa’s mouth, and the singer staggers across the ring. Then finds herself on the wrong end of a body battering as the blonde goes to work on her ribs and flanks, and it’s Maffia who’s glad to hear the bell.

Sarah gets a round back, and she’s looking good!

Round 5

Lisa is less assured as the round starts, but Sarah is in no hurry, and she just picks the singer off with left jabs to the face now, then ups the tempo, working her over to the body again, and Maffia’s hurt! Lisa’s grimace shows the pain as she drops her guard, and that earns her face a belting from the Canadian – right hook, left hook, straight right, left hook – Lisa hits the canvas quickly, her knees buckling under her, and it’s a sad-looking Brit who gets to her feet at 8. Not long for Lisa to last til the end of the fifth, but long enough for Sarah to hurt her again to the body, then bat her face to and from with another left, right combo, the singer’s face bloodied at the bell.

Sarah takes the round and control of the fight.

Round 6

A determined Sarah again slowly picks Lisa’s defence apart in the early part of the round, bopping the Brit’s head back with some stiff jabs, then thudding some good shots to the body – Lisa still scoring with her right jab, but she looks tired – then the Canadian has Maffia’s face exposed again, banging three quick lefts into her mouth, muscling her into the corner of the ring, hurting her to the body again, then thudding a left hand into the side of her head, stunning her, before banging a vicious right hook across her mouth, and Lisa’s down again, dazed and wobbly on the canvas, up at 7. Maffia’s on her feet but unsteady, and Chalke comes in to finish the job off, banging Lisa’s head back with another heavy left hand, she then goes for the body, but the Brit comes back at her – desperate attack by the singer – and she hurts the Canadian with a booming left hook to the jaw, almost felling the blonde as the bell ends the round.

Sarah takes another round – but she is dazed as she staggers to her stool.

Round 7

Both girls looking battered and tired, but Lisa must start landing punches if she is to win this fight, and she does just that – Sarah taking more and more of those right jabs as the round progresses, concentrating on looking to hurt Lisa with a big punch, but the Brit keeps it tight, moves Sarah to the ropes, then gets her with a left hook to the jaw again, follows in to land her right, but leaves her ribs exposed, and wham, in comes the big bodyshot from Chalke, and the Brit squeals in pain. Smiling, Chalke turns Lisa around, gets her on the ropes, then pummels her ribcage, looking to get her to the belly, stooping slightly, when up flys Lisa’s left glove, ripping the blonde’s head right back – a good uppercut – and Sarah takes one, two steps back, then drops to her ass on the canvas, shaking her head as she crawls to her feet again at 6. Chalke’s face looks bruised and sore as the ref looks into her eyes, and Maffia just has time to give her another stinging left hook to the eye before the end of the round.

Lisa gets a round back with that knockdown.

Round 8

Now Sarah’s looking the more tired as Lisa finds her range in the early seconds, banging that pretty blonde face back again and again, and the Canadian’s bleeding from the nose now, blood dribbling into her mouth between punches, but spraying around each time Lisa’s glove bats into her face. Lisa gets Sarah on the ropes again, and she clubs the Canadian’s head with everything she’s got, but the blonde won’t go down, just covering up, taking her punishment, escaping near the end of the round, then getting caught with a right to her mouth.

Lisa takes the eighth, and Sarah looks beaten.

Round 9

Brave, battered, but unflinching, Sarah Chalke gets off her stool again, and she hurts Lisa to the body! The Brit writhes as she gets nailed with a left hook to the ribs, and it’s her turn on the ropes, Sarah, head down, banging at her body aimlessly, though, and Maffia sees her chance to land that uppercut again, and she takes it! Left uppercut connects with Canadian face, and poor Sarah is face-down on the canvas, groaning, but – unbelievable – rolling over and getting up again, on her feet at 8 – the girl’s indestructible! Shaking her head, Lisa gets back into Sarah’s face, hitting her with right and left hand punches to the body, now, tiring herself, with Sarah really only offering defence.

Lisa’s round again – ref could stop this, surely?

Round 10

Two exhausted girls face each other now, and Lisa starts by papping her right jab into Sarah’s swollen face, then she’s just pushing the actress to the ropes now, punching her face at will, smearing blood from that battered nose around. Chalke is barely able to stand, lolling on the ropes, just hoping for the final bell, but then, with seconds to go, she reminds Maffia she hasn’t won yet, by drilling her left hard into the singer’s belly, but she just doesn’t have the energy to follow up her advantage with the uppercut to finish this fight, and Lisa manages to hang on until the bell.

The ref lifts Lisa’s right glove aloft – Lisa Maffia has beaten Sarah Chalke on pounts.

The two girls embrace after the fight, out of exhaustion and respect, and they sit together at ringside afterwards:

Sarah: “Lisa is a good puncher – she needs some work on her defence if she’s gonna go further, but she could be good! I’ll take a rematch before I finish over here, though – and I’ll win it!”

Lisa: “Sarah is a class act – she’s brave, too. A rematch? Sure, but next time I’ll stop her in 5!”
