Swan chirps with glee in prefight. "I'm way bigger and stronger - this is all about me showcasing my talent for my fans. Call it a reward for my hard work to this point! The main thing for my fans is that even though she's light, Summer is hot! OMG - did you get that? I said Summer is hot! Gorgeous AND witty...just when you thought my package couldn't get any more total, I top it up with extra me!"

Glau rolling her eyes throughout: she's the polar opposite to Serinda's brass. "When we signed, I was worried about her size," Glau admits in prefight. "But then we started watching tape, and I relaxed, because I've already fought way better girls than this. Serinda's a C+ fighter in an A- chassis: I can definitely overcome that in the ring!"

Summer in dark green, very low cut sport bra; green bikini bottoms of the same sport-bra material; powder blue gloves; long, soft, straight brown hair loose (Glau one of the few fighters in boxing who has a designated "Hair Guy" in her corner!) Serinda in neon baby blue bikini; white gloves; glossy black hair loose/tangly.

During R1: Big grin Serinda as she hops out; Glau glowering. Swan smudging Glau's tits via thumping left jab: slapping, limber hook clouts Swan's mouth, matched with slinging right that kisses her chin. Glau sliding to her right, jabbing Swan's tummy as angry Serinda storms forward: brace of clobbering rights and lefts from Serinda misses, but forces Glau to lope away. Minute mark, fresh Swan assault forces Glau back: Summer SO bendy - leaning back on her hips; rolling well forward with head below Swan's waistline - Serinda's slugging air. Rolling out of crouch/twisting torso-right, Glau lashes wide left hook to Serinda's chin; doubles it with a supple cuffing action; leans in bendy with looping overhand right caressing Swan ear-to-chin on the right side. SWAN'S LEGS GIVE A SHIMMY! Bigger girl absorbs the clout well, but she's rattled: Glau able to dip-and-rip supple uppercuts, or slop whippy roundhouses in walking barrage to drive Swan back. Serinda firming down the stretch, snarling as she fits a tuff right hand to pit of Summer's stomach: Glau has to back off rather than risk lengthy exchange. Serinda in pursuit - head hunting angrily and missing: Summer's gumby-like torso bending and weaving as she steps and pivots, staying safe without running. Round ends with Summer slipping low under a whistling Swan right - emerging from in behind Serinda with a right hand trailing cooly across Swan's belly. Glau hugs up loose around Serinda's waist, resting right cheek on Swan's upperback as Serinda's howling in protest, held snug from behind at the bell.

R2: Anger, frustration for Swan as she heaves leather...Glau bendy/elusive. Summer up on her left (lead) leg, flinging out loose, elastic left jabs ping-ping-ping with supple backhand delivery: nuisance poke only, but it's keeping Serinda covered up as Glau pivots clockwise. Hard punching Swan assaults missing as Glau retreats bending/dipping/rolling, then turning at the ropes as Serinda plows chest-first into cables. Not a lot back from Glau however - that pesky flicking jab just a smoke-screen: judges like Serinda's seething aggression despite the lack of productivity.

R3: Swan charges...Glau gives ground, yo-yoing her limber jab en-route, eventually socking Swan right on the nose. Serinda yelping, covering up face-in-gloves on reflex: Glau leans in, strapping supple buggy-whip right to Swan's waist, then twisting torso-right to slide across lithe hook-to-jugs. Serinda enraged, hurling hateful right hand to Glau's head: Summer leans back/twists torso-right on her hips, executes pivot-left - emerging off Swan's right hip and dragging sidearm right into Serinda's belly. Swan turning, growling: she misses a wide left hook over top, grunts as Glau rises from crouch to lick a thumping left/right off hard-working Serinda-abs. More bendy-torso stuff from Glau sees Serinda miss as Summer's withdrawing: Glau careful not to stand toe-to-toe, just nibbling and vexing from angles. Down the stretch - Serinda advancing; Summer retreats in good order, dipping-and-licking left or right uppercuts, picking Swan's chin up, then slipping the receipts. Matadora's spin at the apron sends Swan hurtling face-first into cables: Glau pivoting into position unleashes lanky flurry! Swan righting herself, absorbs a walloping right ear-to-chin on the left side - Glau bending in and down to get 100% Summer into the shot. Swan lays against ropes, covering her face: Glau jabs the guard, then bends in to buggywhip the right hand against Serinda's left side ribs! Cry of pain, Serinda: Glau generating lissome torque, going all-in to get Swan hurt! Sum jabs guard again - bends in to slop buggywhip right to Swan's hip: Serinda elects to push back leather rather than take this shellacking. Right uppercut from Swan misses: she takes a slicing right upside her head again - Glau putting her bendy-back into it, slap-chopping the shot, buckling Serinda's legs. AND THE REF STEPS IN! Glau momentarily confused as Serinda screams "WHAT?" then Summer's leaping away in lottery-winner's exultation! TKO3 Summer freakin' Glau!

After: Woozy but serviceable Serinda wailing in protest, crying and shrieking in the ref's face as he's trying to cradle her to safety...bit of a quick whistle perhaps, but no question Summer was sloppin' on the harm at the stoppage. Glau smiling - still in shock herself: Swan's showcase becomes Summer's coming out party as Glau delivers the upset of the year in January!

"We knew she was dumb as hammers, and there were gigantic holes in her game," Summer says charitably in postfight, "but honestly, I never dreamed I'd stop Serinda Swan without being able to kick at her. I was boxing her - being bendy - making her miss, touching her up. I had wanted to keep that up for all ten rounds, but when I hurt her, I just decided to move my hands and see what happened. I think she probably could have continued, but that's not my call. All I know is I was smoking her my best shots, and the ref didn't like what he saw, so..."

Gleeful tweet from Laura V underscores the sentiment of an entire division: "Summer slapped Serinda out: YAY! GO SUMMER!"

Swan in full tantrum, screaming for an immediate rematch as Glau makes a point of ignoring her to savour the moment. In days to come, Serinda will tell Fighting Ingenue: "I was never hurt by Summer Glau - the whole problem is that I'm too beautiful! Male referees can't stand to see me take any punishment at all - even though I'm tuff! That's what happened against Summer: the guy saw this ugly slut getting off on the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen and his protective instincts kicked in. The decision should be overturned: that referee had NO business stopping me, just because I'm so much prettier than Summer!"
