BEFORE: "She's a tough cookie," Piper admits of Cote, "but I'm determined to grind her down and wear her out! She likes to crowd and bang - which is fine with me, but I also like to think I bring a lot more than digging to the table. I'll fight enough of her fight to get respect, then I'll separate myself with my skills!"

Cote always up for a pretty blonde: Piper P fits the bill nicely. "Piper's fighting for attention just like I am," Cote says in prefight. "That makes her hungry, scrappy, and dangerous. I'll punish her body, break her spirit - that's the way I'm going to make my move in the FCBA. Good, honest effort; outworking the other girl, beating her down...that's me!"

Piper in green bikini top/yellow bottoms; small yellow mitts; blonde hair back in slick ponytail. Cote in lavender bikini with twist-tied top/low-rise hipster bottoms; small black gloves; black hair slicked back in ponytail. Girls touch gloves when instructed - both comporting themselves like professionals.

During R1: Cote quickly at Piper, crowding, banging. Sound of Pablo's small mitts: PIK!...PAK!...PIK!...PAK! as she works Piper over - fighters foreheads or shoulders in constant contact throughout. Perabo keeping dukes up, backing up in good order - she's just not getting off. Cote swatting/clobbering away short, clubbing licks...especially tasty is a blunt right hand fitted into Piper's sturdy belly-core (PAK!) - just about any time Cote wants it. Bell: Pablo turning briskly away from Piper - brunette all business to her corner, obviously pumped by her one-sided performance.

R2: Piper adjusts...right hand at cheek as she pops stiff jabs, charging Cote for real estate. Pablo encroaching, but not able to walk in this round...when she gets inside, Perabo welcomes her with a stubby little right uppercut to chin before settling in shoulder to shoulder. Otherwise similar to R1 - girls swatting/clouting away at grindingly close quarters...Piper able to book-end the exchanges, bump-and-steering Cote around. Perabo digging a thumping right hand firm to the thickest part of Cote's breadbasket: brunette bunching up cranky when smote, feeling Perabo to the body.

R3: Cote uses a stubby little approach-jab to neutralize Perabo's poke: brunette fighting off blonde chest to good effect. Perabo forced into bitterly fought retreats: Piper getting outhit as Cote crowds in. It's Cote's right hand shoving in hard to blonde breadbasket; Cote's fists clubbing blonde ears/shoulders; Cote's hooks working ribcage and breasts at will. Piper tight lipped, keeping her guard up as she's banged upon and walked down. Bell: Cote pushing off Piper all brisk and peppy; blonde scowl of complaint as Perabo doesn't appreciate the attitude.

R4: Cote punishing Piper early - force-feeding blonde tummy tuff right hands; clubbing Perabo up top, in close. Second minute - Piper able to separate, creating just a little space with a widened stance...she's picking Cote up tasty right/left uppercuts as Pablo pushes in. Piper landing first makes a big difference: blonde girl able to channel brunette into exchanges; execute bump-and-turn pivots - all while basically in close-contact with Cote. Piper wins the tummy battle this round - her right hand thumping in hard to Pablo's thick waist, taking some of the steam out of Cote's pursuit. Bell: Piper with an innocent little push-off as she separates...Cote frowning, looking to answer as ref moves in.

R5: Cote mounting pressure up the middle: Piper's starting to get used to it, devising tactical solutions on the fly. Perabo giving ground, walking Cote onto short uppercuts; swat-hooking Cote in close - pivoting left around the clout. Pablo pursuing/reacting - time and again she's beaten to punches as blonde girl anticipates, gets off with the right punch at the right time. Midway through, spirited exchange at close range suddenly ends when Piper's hook from the crouch finds Cote's mouth: DOWN GOES DE PABLO! Cote scooting to her rump, blinking in astonishment: Piper forcing eye contact, making sure Cote sees blonde delight. Cote up, but wobbly: Piper able to body Pablo to ropes, really work her over thick. Oh those sumptuous, thudding right hands thick in Cote's paunch!

R6: Cote rallies off the deck - she shakes off hurt, mounts another bold up-the-middle attack to drive blonde girl before her. Piper gritting her teeth/keeping guard up...she's retreating, trying to pivot to either side to shake pursuit - Cote not having it. Girls fighting bitterly with foreheads touching, hands moving. Perabo scoring head and body in tight, but Cote wants it more - just gobbling up more blonde than vice-versa. Bell: Cote continue to club away head-and-shoulders...ref jumps in, scolds her for late work as Perabo seethes in the background.

R7: Girls collide midring - shoulder to shoulder pumping exchanges - heads clubbed/bodies banged. Robust stuff both ways, but Perabo buckles Cote's knees with a tidy hook to chin a minute in. Pablo backing away hurt: Piper jumps in a lead right hand to chin - mopping up a brace of hooks in behind Cote's right elbow. Cote cringing forward - crown of her head pushing into Piper's breasts: Perabo HURLS in right hands deep behind Cote's left elbow, crippling Pablo on the spot. Cote in a bad way, baby-stepping forward: Piper backing up in good order, feeding her foe short, curling uppercuts, picking Cote's drowsy face up off her gloves. Series of scoring blows lures Cote across the ring...Perabo looping another wide, palm-down right into Cote's body in behind left elbow, then leaping away to the right as Pablo crashes to her knees, face-first in ropes! Cote's face miserable with hurt...she climbs the ropes, fighting back tears...beats the count at 9, but the ref's seen enough. TKO7 Piper Perabo in hard working fashion.

After: Perabo pumped at the win - classy enough to give disconsolate Cote a hug before engaging cameras for in-ring postfight. "She came on thick and strong on the inside," Piper admits, "pretty much like we knew she would. It took me a while to get used to her pace, but once I had her timed, I thought I controlled things for the most part. You know, we both wanted the body, and only one of us could have it; I just love that I was able to take the fight away from Cote on her own terms!" Number of names being bandied about for pretty Piper: Olivia Munn, Minka Kelly said to have signed letters of agreement, among others.
