Before: Huge fight for Adrianne personally. She could outflank Shannon - manager could steer her around the difficult veteran...but Adrianne can't bare the thought of leaving such a glaring loose end on her record. "I could sidestep Shan," AP admits, "it wouldn't hurt my career, but when you do that, other fighters notice and never let you forget it. Shannon has owned me - and you guys have no idea how hard it is for me to say that out loud - and for me to move on, I've got to deal with her. It's just too big a distraction in my other fights - always thinking about Shan when I should be thinking about my opponent. This fight is where I get her the hell out of my head!"

Elizabeth glorying in her role as tormentress...former champ not quite what she once was, but veteran wiles and rangy build have proven toxic to Pallicki thus far. "I love to derail Adrianne," Elizabeth admits. "There's nothing quite like breaking a young filly when she's trying to make her move. I basically cost Adrianne a year on her timetable - she can't really do anything until she gets by me, and I just keep turning her back. Long as they keep signing the cheques, I'll be happy to continue sending her to school!"

R1: Clockwise, leggy ambulation - girls circling the ring a few times before inching in towards each other. Jabs upstairs and down - exploratory stuff - Shannen re-acquainting her left hand with Adrianne's torso. Whistling hook for Pallicki misses as Shannen leans back: receipt right hand for Elizabeth grazes cheek as Adrianne side-slips it. Girls continue to circle and feint, reaching for contact...Shannon preps a right hand but EATS A CRASHING RIGHT upside her head! Pallicki diving in, plowing the cross over Elizabeth's low left mitt...Shannon's eyes roll back into her head even as she's waving-through on her own right hand - corkscrewing down and STRETCHING OUT ON HER BACK! Good lord - that's it! KO1 - one punch howitzer blast KO - Adrianne freakin' Pallicki!

AFter: Pallicki's peeps rushing into the ring to lift her off her feet: crushing Shannon E EXACTLY what Sceej boxing hoped and prayed for, but dared not project coming in. Shannon obliterated - out and motionless on her back for long moments...shattering whack has KO of the year written all over it. "Obviously I'm thrilled," Adrianne chirps in postfight, eyes shiny with happy-tears. "Shannon's been in my friggin' nightmares for a year now, and I feel like I've just swept the slate clean with her. I knew I'd knock her out tonight, but I felt it would be a grueling youth-on-age grind-down, you know? For me to simply deny her like this...it's definitely a dream come true!"
