Before: Scott finally in the limelight--she’s delighted to be getting Cat bell. “Bell or Theron,” smiles the  youngster. “I’d love to have put them both out of this tournament, but with Charlize coming up lame, bell’s the last of the old., old guard to go. I didn’t want to win this tournament if I couldn’t say I didn’t beat Cat Bell to gte there, Now I won’t have to.”

Bell under some pressure--she’s taking more heat than ever for her age, she is part of the old elite at lightweight and she knows fighter are braver, hungrier than ever where she’s  concerned. “Its not getting any easier,” cat grins, “I know Ashley’s gunning for me, and I’ve seen her fight. She’s got skills,  but I’m not as ready to go as she thinks. I’m disappointing ash tonight. Hard.”

Bell in electric blue bikini, Ashley in back push up, black velvet boy cut trunks.

During R1: Brash, brazen Ashley Scott shutout. She’s going right at Cat, swinging limber from her hips, loading up and getting lanky power into her shots. Bell with a high guard, blocking a lot of it, giving ground and defending at the ropes. Cat calm under fire--she’s not getting hurt, but she’s getting outworked. Ashley with loose-limbed aggression, lathering away doubling up the odd heavy hook in Cat’s ribs, throwing hard right crosses and bring the arm back with the elbow high. Scott chesting up and letting Cat hear it--Bell shoving her away as the ref gets involved.

R2: Bell more purposeful, stepping into her jab and breaking up the Scott rushes before they get started. Ashley getting banged off balance, pre-empted--end of he first minute, Bell lands a nice right hand on the ear, sending Ash staggering to her right. Sharp boxing from Bell--she rocked Ashley, but doesn’t rush in--lets her jab touch the kid in the body cuffs her mouth the hook, stepping back from the Ashley right hand answer. Scott showing some chin, shakes off the shot--by the final minute she’s settled down, jabbing to Cat’s upper chest and looking to sling in the right hand herself.

R3: Bell shoulders her way in close, changing up on Ashley, testing the kid’s midsection, Giddyup punching from determined Cat Bell,  put Ashley’s back against the ropes. Scott hunkered forward, not doing much--Bell pretty much getting off, knuckling Scotts shoulders to reset, then getting off again to the belly and ribs. Final minute, Ashley starting to bend to either side, slapping hooks and uppercuts as she sways and BELL GETS HURT! Cat caught midpunch, put wobbly-butt--Scott pulls down on bell’s head, spins her veteran-like to the ropes. Ashley Scott piling into Bell’s body in  retribution--both tall girls have the ability to shorten up and get supple on the inside. Cat shabby at the bell, no doubt about it--Scott struttin’ to her corner as she steals the round.

R4: Shutout Ashley Scott. Bell’s legs still questionable, she’s getting beaten to punchs, looks sluggish. Bell’s back to the ropes, hands up--Scott checks the ribcage with robust right/lefts, covers up, sees nothing coming back--busts Cat in the body with increasing confidence. Cat just laying in, tying up around Scott’s triceps, slowing the action but mot moving her hands. Ashley brazen at the bell, walloping Cat’s hulking jugs with a slapping flurry just because she can.

R5: Scott aggressive, confident--engaging bell in withering toe to toe exchanges and stepping forward as Cat backs off. Veteran in steady retreat--defense in good shape, hands up, she’s just not answering back enough to discourage ash. Final minute--Bell showing signs of wear--wandering a little as Ashley cuffs her ears. Scott slaps left underneath Bell’s raised elbows, then turns the left over into a head0snapping uppercut. BELL GOES DOWN! Gorgeous knockdown--Cat’s head back sharp, then drowsy, eyes dim as she sinks groggy to her knees. SCOTT WITH AN EXTRA LEFT HOOK! Cheap clout puts Cat on her side--ref jumping in with a scalding reproach as Ashley shrugs her shoulders. Bell beats the count_ staggers shaky to her corner.

R6: Syren: New fight Cat--second half is yours baby. You gotta break this bytch down.” Bell jabbing out of the high guard,, really stamping it hard to Ashley’s upper chest. Slowly but surely, Cat’s getting her way--she’s able to drop the right hand in, back Ashley up, Scott still feisty, but getting steered around the ring, scuffed up this round.

R7: Bell working behind the jab--Ashley starting to bust up, backing off with ba resentful glare as Bell bruises up that beautiful face. Cat stepping forward in good order, spearing the right hand straight to the ribs, or chopping it short to jab. End of Minute 2: girls trade rights on the jaw and Scott steps in a pothole, covering up wounded. Bell thick on the body, working her girl to the ropes. Scott opens up late to avoid the shutout--but Cat’s imposing her will at last.

R8: Cat’s jab. Cat’s high blocking defense. The economical footwork, just fading Ashley’s right hand, then getting cat back into position to punch. Bell starting to shake Ashley up, countering off the block as Ashley’s punches get picked off. Short, crisp retorts--Bell blocking an Ashley wide right, dipping jerking the little right uppercut to the tip of the chin--Bell blocking Ashley left, counter-hooking chin almost immediately. Scotty bruised, chin at the bell, trying to cover up the fact that her legs look a little unsteady.

R9: Bell calm, cool, destruction. Jab cruel and precise on Ashley’s exquisite face, closing the left eye after constant attention, splitting Scott’s lower lip, getting good head-bounce off connects. Scotty flat footed, determined--she’s showing real grit in standing her ground and trading back lanky on the inside with Bell, but cat’s winning the exchanges now. Round finishes up on the ropes--Ash covered up, taking and trembling as her ribs are spanked.

R10: Bell finishes up workmanlike, professional--methodical shutout 9th. Jab has Ashley groggy and staring--she’s reacting late on punches, standing on the spot ‘cause she’s out of ideas. Bell dipping left and hooking belly with vicious intentions: Ashley’s slender hips shunting back, torso jerking forward, arms coming down--tight-lipped grunts of pain in receipt. Bell shocks Ash that chopping right over the left shoulder, but doesn’t take any risks--brunette content to keep the jab on and keep her girl under wraps. At the bell, Cat makes eye contact en route to her corner--it’s close. Comes back UD10 Cat.

After: Ashley looks like something the Cat dragged in--all banged up, thoroughly touched on the face, in her ribs--she’s hurting. Bell survives a number of scares but wears this girl down just by being solid, unshakeable. “She thought the fight was over when I went down in the fifth,” says Cat in post fight. “Truth is, that’s when the fight started. She’ll learn.”
