Boxing at the Mirage

Before: Series returns to The Mirage--Jenny all set to close Ali out on home turg. “It would be great to win this thing in front of my fans,” O’Dell admits. “The Mirage has really been wonderful--I’d like nothing better than to finish Ali right here. Things have been very heated between us, but that’s to be expected, When the fight starts, I just have to forget about all the crap and get after her.” Deep down, I don’t think Ali believes she can win this thing anymore--I just have to give her food reasons to quit.” Landry refusing to attend press conferences, refusing to share the dais with Jenny--Ali with her back to the wall, feeling the most intense pressure of her career, Krista Allen joining Landry’s camp in an effort to pool insights in blonde juggernaut: it’s do or die for the pageant princess. Jenny in tan faux lion-hide bikini, small teak ring connection between jugs, tan sheepskin boxing boots (laced up), Ali in leopard bring trunks, ring connections, leopard print boxing knee boots. Glaring stare down: Jenny with her famous angry pout, nostrils flaring; Ali stone-faced, refusing to touch gloves--Krista at her left shoulder, joining the hate-fest during ring instructions.

During R1: Ali out with a hard, doubled up jab, then falling ion--girls working out of a partial clinch as Landry plays punch-n-grab early. Ali’s left arm reaching under Jenny’s right: jenny swats right hands at Ali’s ribs, digs with the free left underneath; Ali lifts heavy rights up into jug, rib or breadbasket, straining to walk Jenny back in the rugby-esque scrum. Ref let’s ‘em work--only breaking when one or the other ties up (usually when buttocks touch ropes). Ali stalking away after breaks, making Jenny come to her, then running blonde onto the jab and tieing her up for murky mouth on shoulder--both girls leaning forward to form a punching arch. Round to Landry as she lays out the new strategy in the first.

R2: Same again--Ali keeping the right at her chin as she hard-jabs jenny up the middle, then sliding the left in under Jenny’s right to form arch: mutual clubbing and digging results. Landry getting the better of it--her free right  the dominant weapon in these half-clinches--sounding out thick and loud against Jenny’s body. Ali able to walk Jenny to ropes then body up for breaks--Landry controlling tempo. Down the stretch, Jenny fades Ali’s approach--licks her a tasty right uppercut: ALI’S WOBBLY BUTT! Landry stung--scared to be hurt so early: she covers up earmuff and takes a buffeting O’Dell right hand upside the head. Jenny scowling, stalking in and busting Ali swinging right roundhouse up top: Landry taking on the ear or left shoulder, skidding to her right along the ropes. Jenny pushing in with her left shoulder, setting her feet, then RIPPING Ali’s waistline a spanking right/left to punctuate the round, stiffening Landry up with a breathy gasp at the bell. O’Dell late power steals what had been another Landry round.

R3: Identical round--Ali able to throw that punch-n’-clutch blanket over Jenny through 2 minutes, but down the stretch--O’Dell able to intercept Landry coming in a jamming right on the ar. Ali buzzed again, stumbling forward as Jenny sidesteps, letting Ali sprawl awkwardly to ropes: blonde surging in with looping overhand rights up top, hoisting left hooks thick to paunch underneath. Groaning Landry leans forward to clinch: jenny rebuffs her with a robust two-gun digging of expensive pageant-punch, hup-hup-hupping Ali’s butt back into the ropes. Ringing right uppercut Jenny to Ali: Landry’s brushed upright, blinking in confusion and JENNY ROMPS TO JUFF! Jenny pounding away unopposed in the dying moments, stamping criss-cross straight lefts and rights to Ali’s world-class jugs--poor Landry slumps in ropes on the take, staring back open-mouthed stupor as jenny steals another brunette around.

R4: Gotta love Ali’s discipline--she sticks with the “Allen Plan”--out jabbing Jenny midring, leaning forward, reaching on to form an arch and keep her right hand free to plunder Jenny’s underbelly and ribs. Plodding stuff--Jenny working hard to scoop right hand around Ali’s extended left, working brunette ribs; Jenny trading left hands for Ali’s rights underneath as both girls get up in there beefy. Landry steadily walking jenny to ropes--getting a body on her and mauling her before ref can enforce breaks: Jenny disheveled, scowling at Ali’s little forearms, head-rubs, shoulder-bumps and so on.

R5: Shutout O’Dell. Jenny stepping clockwise, boxing the first minute with Ali and suppressing Landry’s jab with a harsh blonde stick: Ali finally on the defensive, keeping hands up to parry. Jenny reaching her jab to Ali’s tummy in the second minute, trying to bring Landry’s hands down--Jenny steering Ali  now, moving her to ropes. Final minute, Jenny steps to Ali and works her over: batting at the flanks; snatching at the midriff; jerking in tight left or right uppercut against Ali’s guard. Landry bludgeoned, but blocking well--she doesn’t risk answering back, but she weathers the worst of it as Jenny stomps away at the bell.

R6: Thrust and parry midring--rangy boxing replaces trench warfare as both girls use their legs, taking turns on the attack. Midway through, both lean into missing right hands, come back hooks and JENNY GETS ROCKED! O’Dell well and truly clouted, instantly wobbly butt and glassy-eyed: Ali snarls, jerks a right left uppercut to split Jenny’s relaxed mitts, pounding back O’Dell’s head on a limp neck. Follow up tidy hooks smacks Jenny’s head hard to port, sends her staggering ropeside--Landry stalking her, prodding the right hand to prop Jenny against her guard, then RIPPING Jenny a vicious hook just beneath the elbow. O’Dell cramping up, biting down on a cry of gut-shot agony and LANDRY WANTS JUGG! Ali’s lips tight with effort as she hook-hook-HOOKS Jenny’s bulging whoppers, beating blonde slack jawed up against the ropes, Landry shifting weight, leaning in to shrug right/left against the rack--poor Jenny reaching in to clinch, getting rag dolled by relentless brunette fists, Jenny manages to tie up head-and-elbow on Ali--Landry writhing to free her limbs--ref enforces the break at the bell.

R7: Furious back and forth--both vixens operating behind a heavy, power jab, looking for right crosses as they fall in. Both take turns driving one another to ropes: both adept at tieing up when their back hit’s the strands, holding the opponent behind her head and one convenient arm for the break. Down the stretch, Ali with a nice little half-step back makes Jenny miss a long right hand: Landry with a wide, swatting check-hook startles O’Dell, straightens her up. Right hand bingo on the teeth, Landry to O’Dell: Jenny’s head punched straight back, knees softening as she gets loose in the hips. Ali bodying up on follow through, stepping to the right to turn Jenny, then folding her into the wrap: Ali’s left hand riding across Jenny’s upper back, slumping blonde forward for PUMPING right hands up underneath. Gorgeous digging licks--tummy, jug, tummy, jug, tummy, tummy, tummy…Jenny‘s mouthpiece dribbles off her teeth as she slips into shock, stooped forward in swoon, Ali pitiless, digging into jenny with muscular right hands, bunching blonde forward as the bell. EXTRA PUNCHING! Ali helping herself until ref physically disentangles her” Landry snarling, dark curls tossing damply across her back as she stomps away; Jenny fighting back tears, hugging her body en route to her stool.

R8: JENNY HURTS ALI! Well-timed counter0right spears across Ali’s jab to crash against brunette jaw: Landry stumbling forward, nearly dropping to all fours as Jenny chases staggered quarry to ropes. Jenny leaning in, pulling a sloshing right to Landry’ left ear: Ali sliding to her right along the ropes, bleary eyes staring. Jenny stepping-with, clobbering Ali muscular right hands upside the head: Ali hits corner all ramshackle, covering up face-in-gloves as firm buttocks perch on turnbuckle. Jenny snarling, lips curling off her teeth as she beats Ali with thumping right hands behind the elbow, leaning on Ali’s upper back to further burden her. ALI GOES DOWN! Jenny hops away, brightening at the sight of distressed Ali: Landry sniveling, punching the canvas ash she sits back onto her haunches--knockdown in a close fight SO crucial and both women know it. After 8, Jenny surges in to finish--Landry awkwardly clinching Jenny around he thighs/buttocks, gets a desperate ref’s break: Landry able to walk to midring, set up behind her jab and organize herself. Jenny attacking, but bogged down rest of the way--Ali breaking up blonde rushes with educated stick, then forming a hot-slogging arch to battle O’Dell to s standstill to the bell, Jenny chesting up, forcing angry eye contact: Ali pushes blonde off and ref has to restore order with barking authority.

R9: Ali’s jab starting to bust Jenny up: O’Dell’s left eye nearly closed; Jenny cut in the mouth as head bumps back from spiteful brunette stick. Landry stepping in and out, rotating to her right--she’s got Jenny’s breaking down slightly with classy footwork, hard punching. Ali being very meticulous with Jenny--that punishing jab; short, quick right hand chopped to cheek with plenty of shoulder in behind it; step-away hook as Ali pushes off the ball of left foot, neatly leaning her weight onto right foot to swipe a tight lick  against Jenny’s mouth. O’Dell taking puffily, drowsily, but trudging through it--blonde can’t find the mark as Ali pretties her foe up for a shutout. CHEEKY  BUTT-SLAP, Ali to Jenny--Landry smugly sending Jenny to her corner with a healthy clapping right to gut: O’Dell frowning, turning in groggy complaint, but ref walks her back to avoid incident.

R10: Ali’s jab: Jenny’s puffy, drowsy face. Krista banging in the apron, screaming in support of Landry, or rather in support if the damage being done to Jenny. Ali able to chop short right hands with impunity: poor Jenny can’t see the incoming--sickening shots landing flush, buckling O’Dell’s knees, making her totter forward. Ali stepping lightly to the right--turning Jenny--hooking blonde paunch and jaw with a relaxed, snappy left arm Jenny stumbling--extending her arms--she’s dangerously punchy, reactions sluggish as Ali starts to pile on hard contact, body and head. Midway through, Ali hooks Jenny’s mouth off the front foot, puts a hard right hand behind it: O’Dell reels to ropes as crowd moans--Jenny looks ready to go! Ali crouching forward, bobbing at the waist--she jabs into Jenny’s guard to screen, then leans in to gut Jenny a GORGEOUS right hand to pit of the belly, pitching O’Dell forward with a throttled cry. Job of work , Ali--she bites her lower lip while stacking Jenny upright by her shoulders then ALI ROMPS TO JUG! Oh the humanity--Ali shrugging shirt, bunching up the beef, getting after Jenny with all the hate a 1-and-3 fighter can bring to her tormentress. O’Dell gurgling, head bobbing--she loses her mouthpiece again as eyes grows dim…but she manages to tie up around Ali’s head, bringing the ref in. Jenny loose, hands low--she sidles to her left along the apron, eyes hooded--twisting on her hips to lick ham-handed hooks or sloshing right hands off her hips. Ali cautious --still plenty of zip in Jenny’s desperation swings--brunette bobbing, timing her jab into Jenny’s breast or tummy, then stepping well out of range. Landry stalks jenny t the bell: this one goes to the cards. Comes back one point duke: ALI LANDRY!

After: Krista Allen yelping, jumping into the ring to hug and pamper Ali. Landry crying pageant tears of relief: she staves off elimination with a tough-minded duke, coming off the canvas to finally show some heart in this contest. “Jenny pushed me down in the 8th,” Ali says of the disputed knockdown, “and she thought I was hurt, but I was just catching my breath. I had her out on her feet and I think I really sent a hard message to O’Dell tonight. There’s plenty of fight left bin Ali Landry, I outclassed Jenny, I outfought herm I beat her up, That’s one down, two more to go.” O’Dell subdued, hands on hips, clearly chiding herself in post fight, “I let her up off the mat,” Jenny says, shaking her head. “I eased up and she wriggled off the hook. A hard fought, back and forth dime--you know, that’s what I expected out of Ali all along, it’s funny that she’s got Krista in camp now, because Ali showed more heart than Allen ever has in her whole career. If you ask me, Allen’s a liability--but whatever. I just have to refocus and bear down for next time.”
