AFTER HARNOIS/SEYFRIED
Posted by simguy on 1/28/2011, 1:07 pm
AFTER: Jenny O'Dell back in the booth with Pam Anderson after the announcement of the decision. Amanda shakes her head but hugs it out with Beth. Tough fight for both ladies, both showing class, and now both turning to my colleague Jenny McCarthy and they're letting her have it, Pam! "
Pam: "It's not often you see BOTH fighters jawing with the referee after the fight, but Jenny didn't exactly make anyone forget Mills Lane out there..."
Jenny: "And J-Mac's had enough! She gives Harnois a shove and there's one for Seyfried...and the two flys shove McCarthy and tackle her!"
Pam: "Fines and suspensions are going to be handed out..."
Jenny: "AND SCEEJ IS IN THE RING! NOLIN AND PALICKI PULL THE FIGHTERS OFF OF JENNY..."
Pam: "HERE COMES FOXFIRE FROM THE LEFT SIDE!"
Jenny: "AND FRONT STREET HITS THE RING FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE...AND NOLIN AND PALICKI ARE PULLING J-MAC OUT OF THE RING ON THE FAR SIDE, RIGHT OUT OF THE JAWS OF THE TRAP! JENNY'S TRYING TO GET BACK IN BUT GENA LEE'S HAVING NONE OF IT."
Pam: "Sceej has got Jenny safely away and Foxfire and Front Street stand side by side screaming down at the Sceej blondes as they back up the aisle giving them half the peace sign! Did you ever think you'd see THIS? Fishel and Mack standing shoulder to shoulder...I don't even think they REALIZE it!"
Jenny: "Uh-oh...they just DID...AND IT'S ON!"
Pam: "WOW! THEY JUST LOCKED EYES FOR A SECOND AND LET THE FISTS FLY!"
Jenny: "NEVE TRYING TO RESTORE ORDER GRABS DANI...BAD MOVE! BAD MOVE! MCADAMS NAILS CAMPBELL AND WE'VE GOT TWO BRAWLS GOING! CARTER TRIES TO GET IN THERE! SHOVES PAST NICOLE...AND SCHERZINGER GRABS HER BY THE PONY TAIL, SPINS HER AROUND AND CLOCKS HER! IT'S PANDEMONIUM...THREE BRAWLS..."
Pam: "MAKE IT FOUR! MAKE IT FOUR! SWAN JUST NAILED LAURA V FOR NO REASON!"
Jenny: "JUST BEING BLONDE IS REASON ENOUGH FOR SWAN! HAYDEN IS GRABBING JAMIE LYNN AND PINK...POINTING AT CARTER AND SCHERZINGER, AND THE THREE FIGHTERS TEAM UP TO BREAK THEM APART! JAMIE LYNN AND PINK PULL NICOLE AWAY AND HAYDEN GRABS SARAH...AND CARTER WHACKS HAYDEN! AND NOW TWO FOXFIRE STABLEMATES ARE GOING AT IT!"
Pam: "How are we still on the air? Shouldn't 'Swan Lake II' be running by now?"
Jenny: "I hear AFI ordered all copies of that found and destroyed...something about a little known caveat in the film industry rules that bans Joey Fatone and Vanilla Ice from being on screen at the same time..."
Pam: "Who'd have thought they'd actually have reason to INVOKE that? Back to the ring where Torv and Arterton have Swan and are pulling her into a corner. Serinda's not happy at all, but they're holding her there. Laura V turns to help restore order..."
Jenny: "AND SHE'S TAKES A RIGHT HAND FROM GRACE PARK! PARK HAMMERING AWAY AT LAURA WHO FIRES BACK..."
Pam: "GARNER'S HAD ENOUGH, JENNY! SHE GRABS BOTH HAYDEN AND SARAH AT THE SAME TIME AND PULLS THE TWO APART. SHOVES THEM BOTH BACK AND GIVES THEM AN EARFUL!"
Jenny: "Seyfried and Beth are teaming up again, this time to pull Grace and Laura apart. Amanda gets Laura V and pulls her toward the ropes. Beth grabs Grace from behind...OHHHH! PARK JUST SPUN AROUND AND BLASTED BETH! HARNOIS IS DOWN AND OUT!"
Pam: "Grace had no idea who grabbed her, but she knows now! She's standing above the prostrate blonde shaking her head! Clearly didn't mean to do that! Stewart, Katy and Ke$ha pull Grace away and she's pleading her case to her stablemates as they do so!"
Jenny: "Her whole contract just flashed before her eyes! Winstead and Jewel have finally gotten Neve and R-Mac apart...and look at this! Mack and Fishel STILL going at it, rolling around on the mat, each holding the other by the hair with one hand and hammering away with the other...and it's going to take the two welterweights to get them apart!"
Pam: "And Mandy Moore and Leelee Sobieski are having a heck of a time doing it!"
Jenny: "Wow! They finally pull the two bantams apart...and the fire is out...the two stables again on opposite sides of the ring, but this thing could flare up again at any time. Seyfried going over to help Beth...shoved by Dani Harris! Uh-oh!"
Pam: "Well, well, well! Here comes security!"
Jenny: "Where the hell have THEY been? Were Christina Hendricks and Sofia Vergara having a wet t-shirt contest backstage or something?"
Pam: "Better late than never, I guess. They're keeping the stables apart and getting the girls out of the ring."
Jenny: "Well, J-Mac certainly stirred something up here! Two of her rival stables at each other's throats! Couldn't have gone better if she'd PLANNED it...WAIT! You don't think..."
Pam: "I do, and I'm not the only one who does! Pan a camera on The Grand Wizard! That expression says it all!"
Jenny: "And for those of you that can read lips, I'm sure he just said 'fudge'..."

POST FIGHT PRESS CONFERENCE
Posted by Jenny McCarthy on 1/28/2011, 3:09 pm, in reply to "AFTER Harnois/Seyfried"
"I apologize in advance, I will not be able to take questions. After I make my statement, I will be seeking medical attention for injuries that I suffered in my capacity as a duly appointed referee when I was assaulted by not one, but two fighters and their entire stables!"
"When I was approached by the FCBA to officiate this fight, my initial reaction was 'no'. As all of you are aware, I have had a strained relationship with certian individuals involved; but the FCBA Board of Directors appealed to me, saying that I was the only one with boxing knowledge, physical ability and fundamental fairness to officiate a fight between these two boxers with known proclivities to foul - so I reluctantly agreed."
"It was a very difficult fight to referee because of the constant low blows, holding and hitting, rabbit punching ... but I am sure you will all agree that I did my job professionally and was firm but fair!"
"The post fight melee was the most shameful incident in the ten plus years that the FCBA has been in formal operation. Of course, there have been post fight brawls before. Sometimes third parties have become involved. But these two boxers ... with the vocal and later physical support of their stables .. actually assaulted a referee. And worse yet ... it was ME!!!"
"You all know me. You know my preference is too settle any issue I have with another fighter in the ring! But this incident was too profound and goes to the very core of the FCBA - are we going to have boxing or merely gang fighting?"
"From my vantage point int he ring, I was able to observe who the main instigators of the melee were. For others involved, fines should be sufficient but, it is with a heavy heart that I call on the Board of Directors to issue the immediate and indefinite suspensions of the following individuals ... Beth Harnois ... Amanda Seyfried ... Allison Mack ... Neve Campbell ... Jewell Kilcher ... Nichole Scherzinger ... Kate Beckinsale ..."
(from the press, "What? Beckinsale was in the pressbox going color for the BBC simulcast?")
"... Kate Beckinsale, no ... errrr ... uhm, I mean Grace Park ... Grace Park ... and for incitement to riot ... the Grand Wizard of Boxing. I will be filing my formal report as referee with the Board of Directors."

LIVE STREAMING VIDEO: FRONT STREET PRESS CONFERENCE
Posted by Boxing World Online on 1/28/2011, 2:41 pm
The Man In The Hat sits in the center of the dais. To his left Nicole Scherzinger, Britney Spears, and Neve Campbell. To his right, Amanda Seyfried, Jewel, and Avril Lavigne.
Man In The Hat: "All right, let's get started. I know what you all want to talk about, so, Cable Boy! Go!"
HBO Reporter: "Wiz, how's Beth doing, and, how's the relationship between Front Street and Foxfire right now?"
Man In The Hat: "Groggy and strained, in that order. But. Beth will be fine and so will our relationship with Foxfire. We all know what McCarthy did out there. She ruined a spirited fight between two very good fighters, and she did it purposely. She also purposely provoked the post-fight brawl. Avril."
Avril: "At Wiz's direction, I have already sent a formal request to the commissioner's office asking that Jenny McCarthy be banned from ever again officiating an FCBA fight, due to conduct that was unprofessional, reckless, and reprehensible."
Man In The Hat: "Thank you, Av...."
HBO Reporter: "Follow up. Do you think the officiating cost Amanda the fight?"
Man In The Hat: "Amanda, why don't you take that one, sweetheart."
Amanda: "Well, it didn't help me out there. Jenny kept breaking my momentum every time I got something going. But, I have to be fair. She did the same thing to Beth, so, no, I don't think Jenny cost me the fight."
Man In The Hat: "THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is Amanda Seyfried. Class all the way. Cable Boy II..."
Showtime Reporter: "Are you disappointed that Amanda didn't get the job done?"
Man In The Hat: "You're an idiot, you know that? This kid here went 20 rounds over two fights with Beth Harnois, who, in case you ain't noticed, is a flyweight title contender. By my count, she won nine of those rounds with one even. She just turned 25. She had 13 fights prior to tonight. She gets better every time out. She wanted this one, and she's hurtin' that she didn't get it, but she's gonna have better nights. Lots of 'em. Count on it!"
Britney: "OK, is someone going to ask a question about Nicky BEFORE she takes my title? Did you guys see that out there?"
(Laughter)
Man In The Hat: "BLONDE! Magazine. Remember that I'm a little on edge right now. Proceed carefully."
BLONDE! Reporter: "Were you surprised by Nicky actually going the distance with a great fighter like Jessica, let alone actually managing to get a narrow, albeit controversial decision?"
Man In The Hat: "What freakin' fight were YOU watchin'?"
(Laughter)
Man In The Hat: "To answer your question, I was NOT surprised that Nicky went the distance. I was NOT surprised she won, but, no offense, Nicole, I WAS surprised at how dominant she was. I mean, this is Jessica Freakin' Alba! She's a four-time FCBA Champion. I knew Nicky could beat her. I EXPECTED her to do that. I did NOT expect her to totally control the fight like she did. But, this is how good this kid can be. And all of you flippin' Nimrods who wrote all that crap about how overrated she was and how her development was all hype? Well, I'll have ta check the tape, but it sure didn't look like hype ta ME."
(Laughter)
Man In The Hat: "Oh, Lord, it's Chloris!"
Madison Addison Abigail McKenzie: "My name is..."
Man In The Hat: "I don't CARE!"
M.A.A.M: "FINE. Let me point out that Ms. Alba's management originally challenged Grace Park, but you gave Nicky the fight. Does this mean you think Nicole is better than Grace?"
Man In The Hat: "What was your name again?"
M.A.A.M.: "Madiso..."
Man In The Hat: "NOPE. STILL don't CARE!"
(Laughter)
Man In The Hat: "And I will not dignify that question with an answer except to say that Ms. Park was already committed to Maggie Q. Now, Smackey, take us home, please..."
Reporter: "So...what's next for Nicole...if it's not a title shot..."
Nicole(smiling): "Stop right there! It's NOT. I'm not fighting Brit, although I'm sure you'd all LOVE that storyline. She and I are too close. I'm not going to throw that away for a fight, even a title fight."
Reporter: "How about Grace? She called you out before Wiz signed her..."
Man In The Hat: "Smackey, I'm a Wizard On The Edge here, so I'm just gonna pretend I didn't hear that. Now, as usual, Front Street and Hour-Glass are goin' ta dinner ta celebrate, so get outta here, all of ya!" |
FOXFIRE POST FIGHT COMMENTS
Posted by Archer News Service on 1/28/2011, 5:59 pm
Beth Harnois sporting a gloriously black and blue shiner on her left eye appears before the press.
"First of all, I want to announce that Foxfire Video planning a 'Best of Foxfire Post Fight Brawls' release and this latest row is bound to make it a best seller," Beth says with a grin that sends ripple of laughter through the crowd.
"I'm also thinking of asking for a rematch with Grace Park, but then maybe I ought to quit while I just got this technicolor beauty," Beth said pointing her puffy eye.
"You mad at Grace Park?" Someone calls out.
"Naw, things like that happen in a brawl, and she did apologize to me. I can tell you, if she hit more opponents like she hit me, she'd have a better FCBA record."
"How do you feel about Jenny Mccarthy?" Skip Tracey called out.
"Most of how I feel is not printable, but neither Amanda or I are happy with her idea of officiating. I also want to put in a good word for Amanda. She talked some trash at me before the fight and now that's just not like her. I think it shows how much she wanted to win. I like her and she gave plenty of trouble. i wish her well in the future: just not against anyone from Foxfire."
"There going to be any fallout from Sarah and hayden at being shoved around by Jennifer Garner?" Another reporter called out.
"Jen was just restoring order and I am sure Sarah and Hayden understand that. These things happen in the course of a brawl and we're all professionals here at Foxfire," Beth said smoothly. "It will pass."
Skip Tracey lanced overer at Hayden and Sarah who were standing off to one side, grim-faced as Jennifer Garner watched them from nearby with a wary caution. Skip wondered if this would all pass as easily Beth Harnois seemed to think.

OFFICIAL FRONT STREET STATEMENT ON JENNY MCCARTHY
Posted by Front Street Boxing on 1/28/2011, 6:59 pm
The Grand Wizard Of Boxing said this evening that, though it may be hard for the public to believe of a citizen as upstanding as The Grand Wizard, he has, on a few occasions in the past, been accused, falsely of course, of some..."things". But, never until today has that list of unproven charges included "Incitement To Riot", which, The Grand Wizard points out, would be a great name for a death metal band.
Despite those spurious accusations and the specious arguments advocating the suspensions of five sixths of Front Street's bantamweights (and Pink is hurt that she wasn't included) sure to be contained therein, The Grand Wizard wishes to expedite the completion of Ms. McCarthy's official referee's report. As such, he has rush shipped the "Crayola Big Box" of 96 crayons plus sharpener to Sceej boxing. To further aid Ms. McCarthy, he wishes to inform her that the commissioner prefers his referee's reports to be completed in "Mango Tango".
