Before: Daisy with a rare English language outlet fight, brings her force of nature brutality to bare against the more methodical bell in a nice battle of contrasts. Bell in retro yellow bikini, Daisy in electric pink, blondified hair.

During R1: Bell out in that Joe Louis stance, left side turned to Daisy, bending forward at the waist and stepping economically in and around. Daisy with fists low, hurls punches in looping arcs, grunting loudly as she throw, and it’s a stalemate for most of the round as bell slips, bounces away and avoids contact. Fuentes takes the round on aggression alone--not much contact in a tactical first.

R2: Bell adjust to the wide swings, comes inside and digs short punches straight to daisy’s body. Fuentes catches on too late, finally shortening up and putting her head on Cat’s shoulder, but bell claws out the round inside.

R3: Latin girl adjusts, living it inside, and it’s Fuentes taking over, palming up on Cat’s biceps, then jerking shirt right hands to the breasts and midsection bell clubbing away inside as well, is on her feels most of the round.

R4: Cat goes back outside to box--Daisy gets wide again, and Fuentes nails bell midway through the round with a swinging left on the teeth to stun the brunette for the first time. Fuentes walking bell down, palms up on the brunette’s arms, then steps back to rip lefts and rights, bashing away at Cathy’s face as she holds her right glove just under her chin. Bell wobbly butt at the bell as Fuentes spins away with a giddy smile.

R5: Cathy standing her ground, spanks back Daisy’s head this round with a stiff jab, then steps inside with a short left hook to the sternum that gets Fuentes going backwards. Brawling erupts on the ropes as the girls trade lefts and rights on the chin, but it’s Bell who emerges dominant, pounding Daisy to the ropes, then settling down to drive in with powerful straight rights to the forehead and breasts.

R6: Cathy with more methodical work, jabbing Daisy into confusion, then hooking her way inside. Bell jerking and twisting into her punches, batters Daisy this round as Fuentes begins to get desperate. Daisy scoring the odd clubbing right hand, but she’s missing over the top or punching long as bell crowds her.

R7: Daisy rocks Bell with a well-timed overhand right against the jab, cracking Cathy’s head flat against her shoulder, and the tall brunette is hurt! Fuentes winging wide lefts and rights, batters bell to the ropes, and Cat is nearly defenseless as Daisy opens up. Fuentes likes to palm up, setting cat against the ropes before wailing away with wide combinations, and Bell is slugged senseless in a devastating round for Daisy. Fuentes ends the round with a gorgeous right cross on Bell’s jaw--Bell taking it like a sleepwalker as Fuentes does a little Latin dance back to her corner.

R8: Cathy bell shows incredible fortitude this round, coming out a shadow of her former self, but finding a way to toe Daisy up, got to work on the body with gouging lefts and rights, and finish up trading strong to the chin to get the better of Fuentes down the stretch, round clearly discourages Daisy, who wears her heart on her sleeve or all to see.

R9: Cathy jabbing inside, then twisting into those short right hands to the rib cage, stabbing the fist in like a dagger. Fuentes groaning, doesn’t like it down there, and the two women loll about the ring in one another’s arms as Daisy tries to slow things down. Judges like the power on bell’s shots, in a hard to score ninth.

R10: Bell continues to bang at Fuentes body, curling that short left hook to the sternum, and driving in the right shortly thereafter, Fuentes crumpling, and Bell snaps off a beautiful right uppercut on the chin, left hook on the chin, right cross on the chin to stagger Daisy to the ropes. Fuentes can’t recover, and Bell bodies up, pushing the Latina to the corner, pounding her hips and belly in between heavy clinches to the finish line. At the bell, a weary Cat raises her mitts as a crushed Daisy Fuentes sluffs to her corner. Unanimous Decision: Cathy bell.

After: bell guts her way past another glamorous banger, making a habit out of pulling wins out of nowhere. A very close fight on the cards, but Bell coming from well behind to pull things out with a resolute final 3 rounds. Girls engage in unexpected chess match, but in the end, Bell outslugs, out-thinks, and out-guts Daisy for the victory.
