Before the fight, both girls are fairly confident, with Leilani saying, “Sure, Una can punch and Una can move. But can she take a punch? I don’t think so! I’ll finish her in 3, just like I did with Anna Faris!” The Irish singer smiles in response, “Gotta admire her, haven’t ya? Got beat up at lightweight, moves to bantam and beats a no-hoper, then gets in the ring with me – maybe she prefers being beaten up! I don’t – I’ll be doing the beating!”

Leilani will wear her favourite black bra and pants set, whereas Una favours a silvery, shimmering one piece.

Round 1

Quick start from Leilani, landing nice left jabs to Una’s face in early exchanges, and the singer looks confused, moves in to unload some of her own punches, but gets hit to the body, and she’s soon scampering away, regathering her thoughts. Una moves back towards Leilani quickly, unloads one, two right jabs, then skips off, back in, jab, jab, and out again. The model is trying to stalk her but Una is very quick, then in the closing seconds she steals the round, clipping Leilani with three good jabs to her mouth, then cracking the punch of the round – left hook – into her jaw.

Round 2

Leilani looking to restore her early advantage, and she uses her strength to move Una towards the ropes, trying to slow her down by hitting her round the body, but the singer has fast hands as well as feet, and she is beginning to get to Leilani, her rapid jabs grazing the skin on the model’s cheeks, and now it’s Leilani trying to defend herself, - she’s on the ropes, and Una’s hitting her good and hard, the older girl doing her best to hit back, but ending up just holding on, trapping Una’s left arm, but the Irish girl is still able to damage her with the right. When they break, it’s Leilani moving forwards with looping hooks to the singer’s body, but Una is just picking her off, and she is now beginning to hurt her.

Una takes round 2 more emphatically.

Round 3

Quick and confident, Una gets that right jab working again, pumping Leilani’s head back, but the model cannot retreat again in this round, and she steams forwards, hooking to the singer’s body, and she’s getting results at last, backing Una into a corner, and the girl is beginning to bend, not quite knowing how to fight her way out of this. Una’s hands are beginning to drop – she doesn’t like being hit in the gut like this – and Leilani sees her chance, unloading with both fists to the singer’s face, and she stumbles forwards, holding onto the older girl, hugging her tight. It takes a while for Una to be prised off Leilani, by which time she has recovered enough to defend herself, but she’s not offering much in the way of punching as the round ends.

Round 4

Buoyed by her efforts in the third, Leilani attacks again in the fourth, but Una has learned from her mistakes, and is on her toes again, jabbing the older girl’s face, avoiding giving her the chance to push her around. Leilani is frustrated, and she kind of lunges at Una, trying to hit her body, but the singer bangs a solid right, left combination into her unprotected face, and Leilani staggers across the ring, her head ringing, but there’s nowhere to hide, and in dances Una, ripping right hand punches into Leilani’s face, measuring the girl up, then nailing her – left hook – and the model is down, really in trouble and just beating the count. Hurt, Leilani cowers slightly as Una thuds some good blows into her face before the bell.

Round 5

It’s Una on top early in the fifth, her right jabs still distressing Leilani, but the model is trying to fight back – not easy when your eyes are half-closed, and your opponent keeps punching them. Leilani is looking pretty sorry for herself as Una staggers her with a straight right to her mouth, the older girl on the ropes again, her defence a shambles as the singer needlessly gives her body a working over, tears running down the poor girl’s swollen face as she then finishes her off with a left hook to the mouth, and she hits the canvas hard in a flurry of arms and legs.

Una Healy knocked Leilani Dowding out in Round 5.

Una celebrates after the fight, boasting at interview, “I told ya I’d beat her up! Who’s next? Know who I want? One of those Girls Aloud sluts – Nicola Roberts or Kimberley Walsh! Teach them a feckin’ lesson! The take Amy Nuttall’s BBU title of her, before tucking into a few FCBA girls – that Aly Michalka’s got a face that needs punching!”
