R2: Kelly still a little slow out of the blocks: Poppy atop her brunette with stiff left jabs, hooking off the jab to Minka's cheek...Kelly backing up just isn't an effective vixen. Ropes: Minka frowning prettily - keeping hands up, dipping side to side: Poppy's squaring away working her girl over with more volume than placement. Minka taking too much punishment, resorts to clinches: Poppy pressing her girl into ropes for the break, making sure Kelly takes weight. Fight restarts midring, but Poppy's in charge with the contact jab again: Kelly not moving her head, looking startled when poke arrives on target; looking spooked when the hook clips her jaw. Minka backed to ropes and batted about again: tough 6 minutes in the ring with hard-working Poppy through 2.

R3: Minka finally widens stance - weight on left leg - punching Poppy the straight right hand lead in the mouth to disrupt blonde jabbing. Montgomery blinking, misfiring with her receipts: Minka strongly planted - right foot well back: she's poking in the stiff straight right/turning over the palm-down hook, getting payback onto Poppy's face. Monty backing up, trying to regroup: Minka hopping forward in-stance, now bobbing on the spot to move her head: Poppy missing over the top, then rocked as Kelly comes up hooking from the crouch. Ropes - Poppy pinned this time: blonde girl forms tight earmuff as Minka takes a turn on top. Drilling straight right sloped down into blonde tummy gets results, as does the slashing hook to paunch: Poppy cringing forward, feeling Minka's heft. Kelly very deliberate with her punching - getting her back into 'em: smaller girl punching with more committment, doing more damage proportionately than bigger blonde. Poppy sluggish at the ropes - just keeping hands up, not moving her torso much: Minka really targeting blonde ribs for destruction with both dukes batting. Down the stretch, Poppy hurt, grimacing...she elects to punch-with and Minka finally starts catching chin clean. Brunette beating blonde to punches - Minka with weight forward, both fists finding Poppy's chin in repeated patterns of straight right/left hook...blonde girl's head on a bobble, her body slumping, hands lowering...she's a helpless vixen when the ref steps in, cradling her to safety. TKO3 in come from behind fashion, Minka Kelly.

After: Kelly's a cutey, but she's hardnosed - overcoming a slow start to simply overwhelm her veteran competition on the evening. "Umm - she actually got a hook onto my jaw in that first round that had me hurt," reports the always honest brunette. "I took it, but she did well in pursuit - took me a few minutes to sort her out and start driving her back.
