Birmingham, U.K.

Another BBU beauty next, Kara Tointon, easily beaten by the impressive Nina Dobrev in her first fight, against veteran Amy Adams, who was stopped by Nikki Sanderson in Cardiff.

Pre-fight, Amy bubbles, “Did you see Emilie? Wow! And now another British tramp is just a few minutes away from being beaten up!” Kara shakes her head, “Poor deluded Amy! Nikki battered her last time she got in the ring – now it’s my turn!”

Round 1

Southpaw Kara makes a good start, confusing Amy with her right lead, but Amy’s left jab is ramrod straight, and she’s planting it neatly in the younger girl’s mouth. Kara covers up well, and retaliates, her right jab troubling Amy, and it’s Amy who is in retreat, on the ropes towards the end of the round, with Kara clipping her face regularly.

First round to Kara.

Round 2

Amy still has her straight left jab connecting with Kara’s face, but the Brit is showing good resilience here, taking those jabs, and returning her own, awkward, right leads, and she’s beginning to trouble Amy, the older actress having to take more punches than she gives, and Kara gets her on the ropes, and hits her to the body, working hard, with Amy holding her, keeping her busy.

Second round to Kara – good work from the Samurai.

Round 3

Kara still working hard, having to circle Amy as the older girl controls the centre of the ring, but Tointon is getting through to her, those punches registering on the She Devil’s body, eventually forcing her to the ropes, and the Brit is wading into her, throwing lots of bodyshots, puffing away, with the older Amy blocking, defending, holding when she can – just trying to take the sting out of Kara.

Third round in a row to Kara.

Round 4

Still Kara is going looking for Amy, landing her right jab to her face when she can, looking for the She Devils body, but those punches are becoming less frequent, and there’s little power there, with the wily Amy laying on, her weight on Kara’s slim torso tiring the Brit, slowing her down, and, as the round progresses, making her hittable. Amy’s getting to the younger girl now, hurting her with bodyshots, nothing much coming back.

Amy gets a round back.

Round 5

Kara has recovered during the interval, and she’s landing to Amy’s head again, a touch of desperation though as she starts batting at the older girls ears, and it gets her nowhere, Adams just wading back into her, hard, thudding punches to the Brit’s body get her grunting and groaning, then a swift set of punches to the face gets her swaying back onto the ropes, hurt now, and Tointon’s in trouble at the bell, her cheeks starting to show wear and tear.

Amy again – she looks strong, too.

Round 6

A tired Kara looks to take the fight to Amy once more, but the American’s counter punches are hurting her, and now it’s the Brit on the ropes, getting punished to the body, and she is beginning to weaken, panting and grunting on the ropes, her guard gradually dropping, and Amy’s landing to her face now, her sharp jabs snapping the girl’s head back, and she’s beginning to bruise, the smile wiped off her face.

Amy takes her third round, evening it up.

Round 7

Now it’s Amy looking to attack, taking control, and beginning to work Kara round the ring, hurting her to the body, then helping herself to crisp punches to that red, swelling face, Kara on the ropes, gloves aside her head, takes a hard shot to the belly, slumps forwards, then a left hook to the jaw, and Tointon’s down, suffering and groaning on the canvas, up at 7, but groggy and finding Amy now just head-hunting, her solid straight jabs picking the Brit off, and she looks smug at the bell.

Amy well on top, now.

Round 8

Both girls are tiring, but it’s Amy who is landing punches, and Kara is sent staggering into the ropes by yet another left jab to her face, and she’s got tears running down her swollen cheeks as Amy closes in on her, and a merciful Ms Adams just puts her out of her misery, knocking her down and out with two good right hooks.

Amy Adams knocked Kara Tointon out in roun8, and that’s 2 – 0 to the She Devils.

Post fight, a weary Amy pays tribute to Kara, “I thought this kid would be a pushover, but she’s got fight – not much talent, but give her credit!”
