BEFORE: Ringing endorsement from Vanessa Williams has Sharon pumped in prefight. "It's great to have her vote of confidence," Leal beams at podium. "Going against the Academy, there's a lot of star-power there - so just having Williams come out and say that I can beat Halle and use her to build momentum - that's a terrific boost." Berry baleful at podium - wants more deference, less 'tude from Sharon. "Vanessa Williams hasn't been relevant since my fists punched her to the sidelines," Berry glares. "Look - Sharon wants some, she can come get some because she's hot, but don't try and make it sound like she's me and I'm Vanessa. I'm not even close to going out like Williams did. Leal's got a booty stomp coming her way she'll never forget, and you all need to realize that I can turn it on, tune it up, any old time I like!" Halle in short-choppy fighting tousle; yellow sport top; black sport bikini bottoms; black gloves. Sharon in white sport top; white sport bikini bottoms; white gloves; short ponytail with bob-edges bracketing face.

During R1: Quick, slick, athletic, supple, sudden-darting action. Girls will prowl in circles - feint - suddenly come with a jab or pouncing right: each adept at parrying or evading clean contact. Halle learning that Sharon's just as quick - Leal unfazed by Berry's moves and dekes - calmly sidestepping, working behind the jab, even frisking Berry's yellow top via dabbing left hands. Round to Leal - no damage done, but her legs/hands seem up to the standard.

R2: Berry eyes narrowed - bobbing feints and double-jabs helping to step her close: she's hooking from there. Leal withdrawing rather than seeking trade: eyes intense with concentration as she negotiates distance. Halle the aggressor - showing a little yo-yo lead right hand to prep whipping hooks; batting double left hooks off Sharon's ribs whenever Leal's ducking to pivot-withdraw. Bell: eye contact leads Helle to push Sharon...Leal immediately answering as ref jumps in to douse flames.

R3: Quick-twitch, sudden punching...girls trying to kiss each other slick via lead right hands or lead hooks. Fighters darting in and out as they look to score/withdraw...dangerous velocity on punches here. Minute mark - Halle jumps into a check-hook, startling her: Leal able to put a hard right on chin in complement, BUZZING BERRY'S LEGS! Halle's eyes astonished, lips twisted in "oh no: I'm hurt!" grimace...she baby steps around, taking hooks off her face and BERRY GOES DOWN! Leal stooping to shout incoherently at sitting beauty before jogging to neutral corner - crowd on it's feet as Halle punches canvas in anger, pulls herself up ropes. Resume: Halle hurt, forming pocket at ropes: Leal hard-eyed, moving in to finish. Leal: wide stance; right hand reaching in to load weight for torquing Oba Carr left hooks...lashing stream of whippy, thudding left hands begins raking Halle Berry! Berry: hurt...hands at temples...torso wilting under the strap-and-lash effect of Leal's withering onslaught...BUT SHARON GETS HURT! Halle timing a clipping left uppercut out of a wilting crouch, picking up Sharon's chin...Leal's eyes stare, legs suddenly whipsawing - SHE'S hurt and Halle's rallying! Pouncing lead right hand off the ropes; follow up hook...Halle pasting Leal as she's backpedalling and SHARON GOES DOWN! Halle bellowing in triumph - ref bodies her away as grimacing Leal rallies off her back. Wonky 8 Sharon; deep breath Halle: Berry wading in with a minute on the clock and a hurting opponent on the ropes. Halle squares up dipping and twisting her torso into heavy, supple shots: clubbing rights upside Sharon's head; opportunistic lefts carving at tummy/ribs; left shoulder/chickenwing left elbow propping wilting Sharon for resets. Leal guts it out, but takes a beating to eventually lose a round she was winning 10-8 at one point!

R4: Halle's eyes: FINISH HER! Sharon's eyes: UHHHH! Leal backpedalling - legs shot. Berry stalking - smiting hard, single shot right hands to Leal's left hip or flank: crisp, tart spanking noises sounding out loud off Sharon's mocha meat. Halle's teeth bared, eyes blazing...poor Sharon wilting around, looking sick, hurt, and Berry-busted. Halfway through - pouncing right catches Leal upside the head as she's moving to her right...legs give a shimmy...she's stepping funky...sputtering on the spot. Halle hooks jug/slides a right across Sharon's mouth: Leal's head doing the "I'm hurt" bobble as she backs sleepy into ropes. Halle steps-with: SMOOTH action on straight, churning lefts and rights up the middle - quick triplet of punches pounding right/left/right off Sharon's face, puttin' her sleepy. Sharon: lashes fluttering shut; lower lip pouting in submission; face slack as she relaxes against ropes. Leal's hands up, but loose - easy for Halle to pour in reinforcements - smooth-action lefts and rights helping to pound Leal all the way out on her feet. Ref jumps in, cradles Sharon's swooning deadweight to safety: TKO4 Halle Berry in A list fashion.

After: Berry riding a rare answer-knockdown third round all the way to victory: Leal simply unable to recover from Berry's decisive rally. "That's Halle Berry boxing!" Berry gushes in postfight - a little touched up to face, but still glorious. "Used her ass up in the third, I mean - you should have seen her eyes when I got up off the canvas - she did NOT want to keep fighting at that point. So there you go boys - that's how it's done in the A-list - that's Academy style: gettin' girls beat and lookin' FINE in the process!"
