Alex has had a mixed tournament, being beaten senseless by Rachel Bilson , the overwhelming Shiri Appleby, whilst Fergie has fought just once so far, giving the much-vaunted Michelle Keegan one helluva beating.

Alex could be in for a tough night tonight, but she seems confident, “Sure, I saw Fergie beat ‘Chelle, but our girl looked tired from the off, so I’m note sure the woman’s that good! Plus, she’s 13 years older than me – I’m gonna be too fast for her!” Fergie just smiles, “I like the kid’s guts, but the only thing that she’ll be doing fast tonight is getting carried out!”

Round 1

Alex starts by showing Fergie that speed she talked about, clipping the older singer with a couple of neat jabs, then skipping back, dodging the blonde’s swinging hooks, and she’s looking pretty good as the bout starts, using her height and reach well, but Fergie is gradually closing her down, stalking her round the ring. Alex looks to sidestep her, but the Californian is strong, and she eases the girl backwards to the ropes, then takes toll of that shapely body, savage, thudding blows to the kid’s soft, dark flesh ringing round the auditorium, and they’re too much for Burke – the Samurai girl is down before the bell, taking an 8 count, and there’s still enough time for Fergie to hurt her again before they sit down.

Round 2

Already hurt, Alex spends the early part of the round keeping away from Fergie, but the ref takes her aside and tells her to box or be stopped, so she reluctantly pushes out her left jab, connects with the blonde’s nose, but all this does is bring the older girl in closer to her, and those body shots are just shattering her defences, landing, hurting, landing again, and Burke cowers against the ropes. Fergie has the girl where she wants her already, that pretty face lowered to around chest level, so she rips three solid right hooks into the kid’s mouth, dropping her to the floor for another 8. Alex is upright(ish) and bleeding from the mouth, and Fergie bangs some choice punches into her ribcage again, trying to finish her off, but runs out of time.

Round 3

Batterd and bloodied, Alex’s guard cannot keep Fergie away, and the She Devil closes in for the kill early in the round, a left hook spreading Burke across the ropes one way, a right hook knocking her back the other, then a left uppercut ends the fight, a senseless Alex Burke draped over the top rope before sliding gently to the canvas.

Fergie knocked Alexandra Burke out in round 3, to level the match at 2 – 2.

Fergie milks the applause after a devastating win, then quietly slips away – she is a good boxer, and has a very hard punch. If she is fighting in match 5, none of the Samurai will want to be in the opposite corner!
