DANI'S SHE DEVILS VS SAMIA'S SAMURAI 4
Frankie was well beaten by Dani Harris last time around, and now fights Australian Emilie, whi took Danni Brent the distance first up, then knocked Roxy Pallett out last time.
This is another tough ask for young Frankie, but she smiles sweetly, “I know I lost last time, but that was my debut, so I learned that night!” Emilie radiates confidence, “ Great – A rookie to beat up!”
Round 1
Just as in her fight with Roxanne, Emilie carries her gloves low, which encourages Frankie early on, but the Aussie draws the kid into a brawl, swinging her loopy, arcing hooks round, over and through the singer’s defences, and she’s soon connecting with the Brit’s pretty face, stunning her with her left, then with her right, and it’s the right hook that floors Frankie, the kid sprawling across the floor, up at 8, but still unsteady and lucky to get through the round.
Easy first round for Emilie.
Round 2
Emilie punishes Frankie again in the early moments, pinning the brunette to the ropes and hurting her with a hard left hook to the jaw, but strangely she doesn’t seem to want to use her right, and this is giving the Brit some confidence – as long as she avoids the Aussie left jab she can stay in this fight, and she begins to get some of her own sharp little jabs on target, even following up, but Emilie is still able to work the kid around the ring, and at the close she is thudding some telling lefts into her face on the ropes.
Emilie’s round, but what’s wrong with her right arm?
Round 3
Frankie manages to land punches around Emilie’s right shoulder and upper arm, and this is causing her some distress, but the older girl has enough strength and craft to turn her body sideways and box Frankie from an angle, the power of her left hand enough to keep the youngster off her, and she has hurt the kid, too with a left hook to the mouth, then another to the body – she won’t follow up when she has Sandford on the ropes, but she’s controlling her, and it’s a sorry looking Brit who drifts back to her stool.
Emilie takes the round again – one handed!
Round 4
Clearly in pain, Emilie must win this fight soon or face serious injury, and that sideways stance she is adopting is confusing the young Samurai, who drifts around to the older girl’s right, confident there’ll be no consequences – wrong! With a guttural cry of anguish, Emilie smashes her right glove into Frankie’s unguarded face, splitting her lips open in the process, and leaving her flat out on the canvas – incredible!
Emilie de Ravin knocked Frankie Sandord out in round 4 to take the She-Devils 2 – 1 up.
Frankie is sobbing with despair after the fight, with Emilie also weeping, “Yeah, I felt something go in my elbow when I put the kid down in the first – I’ll be OK though, cos I can’t fight in the final match anyway – that’s my third! We’ve got this match now!”
