Bar Refaeli vs Marisa Miller

There was a time when Marisa Miller was the only model the average fan knew by name: her bitter rivalry with Bar began to change all that, increasing interest in the group, and opening doors for other model-fighters. For Marisa however, the rivalry was a double-edged sword - increasing her profile on the one hand, but also preoccupying Miller with a strong, awkward foe who refused to break. The tournament would bring matters to a head for Marisa, providing a rubber-match with hated Refaeli as a springboard towards hegemony over the model group as a whole. All Marisa had to do was execute, and put her foot down on the stubborn Israeli beauty once and for all.

90 seconds into the first round, a swinging Refaeli right hand changed Miller's whole world. Stepping in fence post holes, a badly rocked Miller kept her feet, but her carefully prepared, boxing-based fight plan had gone up in smoke. Staggering to ropes, Marisa covered up as Refaeli stalked-and-pummeled her. Bar was relentless - strapping Miller thick about her waist and hips; pushing Miller into ropes as Marisa sagged in peek-a-boo. Miller wouldn't get off serious punches of her own until the last minute of the second round, and when she did, her face took a terrific clobbering as Bar willingly engaged in long limbed trade.

The beating went on: Miller competing bravely on trembling legs; Bar hungrily pressing the pace, hurling hard right hands to the head, constantly backing Miller up. Rocked and wobbled in the third, Miller once again denied Bar with a stubborn stand off the apron, but Marisa was a swaying wreck at the bell, mercilessly taunted by her grinning foe upon separation by the ref.

And then, moments into the fourth, it was over. A crashing right upside the head badly destabilized Marisa, leaving her hurt and reeling on the spot. Follow up rights smashed Miller to ropes, and a further stream of plowing rights up the middle face-punched Marissa to sleep. Sliding in tits-down at Bar's feet, Miller's dreams lay shattered on the canvas alongside her lovely frame, as Bar leapt about and cried aloud in exultation.

KO4 Bar Refaeli.

Brooklyn Decker vs Joanna Krupa

Joanna: http://www.hollywoodtuna.com/photo.php?id=fp_6526542_6&title=Joanna%20Krupa%20Pictures&loc=3

People in the modeling industry fear Joanna Krupa.

"She's mean," reports Heidi Klum in GAZELLE magazine. "True story about Joanna: she stalked Denise Richards in Malibu because she knew D held a certain stretch of the beach, and was recognized as bit of a bad ass. Well, one day, Joanna pounced Denise, running out of the sun to spear Richards to the surf, then just wrestling and punching her into stupor. That's not model-like behaviour - Joanna's different like that."

The first round of this fight probably looked a lot like that beach-pounce of Denise Richards. Brooklyn staggered under a relentless, measured assault - the shorter, stockier Joanna stalking her foe, bashing her about the head and shoulders via short, clubbing lefts and rights; working the ribcage with tightly turned, blunt hatchet shots. Brooklyn's a big, strong SI Supermodel and she kept her feet, but this was a bad start. The round ended to the sight of Joanna wrestling apart Brookie's arms to lay a terrible pounding on Decker's mouthwatering jugs at ropes, bringing tears to Brooklyn's eyes and a wobble to her thighs. Through one, it looked like Joanna Krupa would fulfill her promise as the hardhearted dark-horse of the tournament.

One minute into the second round, it was over. Brooklyn was touching Joanna jabs, fending her off, then when Kruppa looked to force her way up the middle, Brookie leaned in and kissed a perfect, driving right cross off Joanna's chin. JK's heels scooted forward, her knees locked up as her torso lolled, then Kruppa splashed onto her back 100% knocked out.

Nobody was more surprised than Brooklyn Decker, but when the dust settled, a shattering message had been delivered to the rest of the field, to wit: when big Brookie D leans into a model's chin with good form, from a solid base? That model's going to sleep, no matter what her reputation is.

KO2 Brooklyn Decker.

Adriana Lima vs Olga Kurylenko

Olga: (insert good Olga reference here)

"I've got my eye on Adriana Lima, actually," Charlize Theron told BLONDE! Magazine when asked for her thoughts on the tournament. "She's gotten stronger as she's gotten older, she's a little more mature now, and she's got a bit of a break-out vibe going. I know Olga, and I think Lima's all kinds of trouble for Olga, I really do."

Many in the modeling establishment were of the same mind as Charlize on the topic of Adriana. There was a sense that the girl was due - she's always been able to hit hard for a model, and she's had more ring work than most. Against a brittle fighter such as Olga it was thought that perhaps Lima could slug her way to a career-defining victory.

Olga Kurylenko had other ideas.

Boxing crisply - her long, tanned legs taut and springy as she circled and jabbed her foe - Olga picked Lima apart and cleverly punched tapping one-twos to Adriana's face off a stiff, stabbing set up jab. Lima did respond like a fighter, swinging back wide and sloppy when hurt, but Kurylenko showed her class by evading her foe's power while continuing to stitch and staple straight-poking punches in reprisal.

Early in the second round, Lima was caught backpedaling by a series of long, stiff one-twos off the right side of her face. Chased to the apron, Adriana stumbled to her glutes and burst into tears as she sat in a puddle of frustration. She would beat the count, but one look at her rubbery legs/unfocussed eyes told the ref all he needed to know. A blubbering, battered Lima was cradled to safety as a glaring Olga K lifted her mitts and strutted away the TKO2 victrix.

TKO2 Olga Kurylenko.

Candice Swanepoel vs Giselle Bundchen

Candi: http://www.hollywoodtuna.com/photo.php?id=candice_swanepoel_vs_more&title=Candice%20Swanepoel%20Pictures&loc=3

Giselle: http://www.hollywoodtuna.com/photo.php?id=gisele_bundchen_bikini_buttx_6_big&title=Gisele%20Bundchen%20Pictures

You have to feel for Giselle. Long the strongwoman at Victoria's Secret, she's been forced to bend the knee to Charlize, then to Marisa, and just as it looked like Bundchen had re-established herself as the Arch-Angel at last... along came tall, young, bendy Candi Swanepoel to further frustrate the regal Brazilian.

Swanepoel's rise has been well documented - and much of that rise has come at the expense of Giselle. "There's no question that Giselle hates Candice with a passion," Charlize explained to BLONDE! Magazine. "Giselle ultimately acknowledged Marisa, and me of course, but with Candi - Giselle really feels like Swanepoel's an usurper who's fighting above her station. I hate that Candice drew Giselle in the first round, because if anyone's truly motivated to cut Swanny down, it's Bundchen."

They would fight for 10 grueling rounds, rewriting what it's possible to expect from combative-models in the process.

A quick start and fine, leggy boxing from Swanepoel was more than answered by a crushing knockdown, galloping bodywork and sustained, rangy pressure from Giselle in the mid rounds. Behind on points going into the 6th, Candice Swanepoel would collect herself, bare her teeth, and fight a trudging, often sloppy, desperate-slugging battle in the 7th, 8th, and 9th rounds - knocking Giselle down in turn and threatening to stop her altogether. And just when it looked as though Giselle's spirit had been broken, she stiffened and fought Candice mouth on shoulder in the tenth - the two long, limber beauties lapping at each other's tummies, shouldering each other's breasts and wrapping licks around each other's heads in staggering ferocity.

In the end, Swanepoel was awarded a clear, clean 2 point decision. Giselle was awarded a broken heart, and in the resulting walk of shame, many onlookers detected a coronation of sorts, and a confirmation of Candi as the true Arch-Angel at VS.

UD10 Candice Swanepoel.
