Leading up to this lightweight fight Sarah Chalke has been taunting Serinda Swan about her fight with Summer Glau, and her pointless efforts to get a rematch. She tells Denise van Outen before the fight, “Poor Swan must have got real chinny and weak to have lost to Summer – now she’s got me, poor kid!” Serinda smoulders quietly, snapping back, “Chalke hasn’t won a single fight yet – she needs to watch her fat mouth!”

In the ring at Cardiff, Sarah looks lovely in a pale blue bikini, with Serinda wearing a black leather one-piece leotard.

Round 1

Both girls start by showing their boxing skills, and it’s the rangy, leggy Sarah Chalke looking the more impressive, using the ring and her reach to bat Serinda’s face, dipping in towards her, flicking out a few neat little jabs, then flitting back again, keeping the brunette off. Swan looks grim, and she is strong in pursuit of the blonde, but not cutting off the ring, and she just can’t get close enough to the older girl to hit her, still eating Chalke’s jab.

First round to Sarah.

Round 2

The girls are back in the same routine again straight from the bell, with Sarah keeping mobile, using her long legs and reach to keep flicking that jab into Serinda’s face, not powerful, but enough to knock her head back a bit. At this point, Swan is having trouble negotiating range, her own counter punches seeming to come up short, while all the time finding her own face getting spanked by the tall, lanky blonde, who’s just smiling on as she goes about her work.

And that gives Sarah the second round – but can she keep up this pace?

Round 3

Sarah starts the round well, dancing, jabbing, keeping on the move, but Serinda is unfazed by her efforts, letting the older girl burn herself out as the round progresses, and in the second half, she is finally closing in on the blonde. Sarah is still trying to dance out of the way, but Swan closes her down into a corner, and Chalke is unable to avoid taking two, three of Swan’s how that rangy left hooks, banging into her ribs, making the older girl grunt, and the brunette sets her up against the ropes in the final seconds, landing some solid chopping rights to Chalke's chin as she hurts her at close range..

That’s a round back for Serinda – Sarah’s hurt

Round 4

The round starts badly for Sarah, with Serinda again closing in on her, but right from the beginning of the round this time, and she’s moving Sarah round the ring nicely, moving hitting her with punches from both hands in combination, reddening Chalke’s face up a bit now as she starts to clip her face with good jabs, nice hooks, and a few solid straight shots, outworking Chalke, beginning to teach her a bit of a lesson her, in fairness, and the blonde is looking sad at the bell.

Good round for Serinda – she’s on top now.

Round 5

There’s no respite for Sarah as Serinda carries on with the punishment in the fifth, walking sarah to the ropes, thudding a few shots into that pale body, then picking her off with some pretty hard shots to her face, and now Sarah is beginning to wobble, her knees buckling slightly as she takes a right hook to the mouth, and the blonde’s having to hang on to stay upright as the round progresses, having to take Swan’s bodyshots. Chalke's form is deserting her, and her defence is a shambles as Swan just bangs away at her, and those full lips are smeared with blood beforev the end of the round.

Another round for Serinda – can Sarah take much more?

Round 6

Battered and bruised, Sarah tries to get back at Serinda in the early exchanges, but the brunette is utterly relentless in her battering of the older girl. This is payback time for those ill-timed remarks, and Swan is reveling in this, her superior strength at fitness clear for all to see, getting close to Sarah, working her to the ropes again and again, thumping those heavy punches into her ribs and gut, the blonde squeaking in pain, then as the round draws to a close, Swan gives her a real beating to the head, poor Chalke can’t keep the younger girl off as she cuffs her face back and forth on the ropes, her cheeks bruising and swelling, blood seeping from her nose.

Serinda takes the sixth, and Sarah is dazed.

Round 7

Serinda takes Sarah to the ropes in the opening seconds of the round, and she crashes two left hooks to her face, cheek, then mouth, and she’s got Chalke wobbling, ready to go down, the blonde has nothing left But Swan just gathers her up, propping the older girl against the ropes, holding her up with one hand whilst hitting her with the other, just holding her upright to prevent Sarah from going down. The audience is booing Serinda for what has now become a vindictive beating, which she’s extending by almost refusing to finish Sarah off.

Another winning round for Serinda – Sarah’s out on her feet.

Round 8

Sarah stumbles to her feet, her face badly swollen now – she is being badly beaten by the younger girl and she knows it – she knows too that Serinda's carrying her, just prolonging the agony by battering her to the point of her collapse then holding off, keeping the fight going. The round ends with Swan punishing Chalke, hurting her with good left jabs and right hooks, the blonde’s face taking a terrible hammering but Swan’s being methodical, clinching to buy Sarah time to recover after every three or four shot beating.

Serinda again – sadistic!

Round 9

Slow off her stool, Sarah takes a heavy beating to the body in the opening seconds, then, as her knees start to crumble, she has Serinda holding her up again, propping that swollen face on her shoulder as she breathes insults and obscenities into her ear, Sarah’s face streaked with sweat, tears and blood as Serinda hands out yet more punishment for Chalke, a straight right to the mouth snapping her head back, slumping her over the ropes, and Serinda is absolutely pitiless as she teaches Sarah a lesson the girl will surely never forget.

Serinda’s round, but who’s counting?

Round 10

Even in the final round, Swan continues to carry Chalke, takes her to the ropes, left jab, left jab, right hook, hold her, slides her to the corner, left jab, right hook, right hook, hold her, and the blonde cannot see too much any more, so badly is her face battered. The ref could step in,but appears frozen, as right to the bell Serinda is beating Sarah without mercy, in the final seconds then propping the battered blonde up in the corner for more. Sarah makes it to the bell, but collapses before she gets to her stool.

The result? Huge unanimous decision for Serinda Swan over Sarah Chalke

After the fight there is a chorus of boos for Serinda – she shown herself at her very worst here, beating up a girl who has won the hearts of many British fans since she joined BBU.
