Before: "She's too flimsy to fight a welterweight," Bridget contends in prefight. "Nothing against Karen personally, but I'm way too much woman for a girl like this. One good hit from me, and she'll unravel. It's a terrible move for her, I feel." Gillan unintimidated - anxious to prove her mettle on US soil. "You've nothing like Karen Gillan in this country," cocksure Scot tells American press. "Oh, aye - you've got tall girls who are hopeless in a fight - girls like Kesha, girls like "Sleepy" Taylor Swift - but true tall lasses with venom, ye've got in short supply. During R1: Regan reckless up the middle, showing no respect: Karen handling the business with a gangly, awkward style. Long jab always in Regan's face, pre-empting her..Bridgy touched up throughout first minute, sidestepped as Gillan commands the ring. Midway through, Bridget head-up, straight forward...she gobbles a slinging right hand hard to chin, unhinging her knees and spilling her to all fours! Bridget up quick - flustered more than hurt - but she's down and getting trounced thus far. Karen surprising on follow up - leaning in as Bridgy crouches down: Gillan lashing the body right/left - really drawing back with elbows to load up, then slinging in there thick. Bridgy Regs sponging it up - she's taking the heat, but grimacing as Gillan slops away for rangy points in the first.

R2: Regan a little more responsible - hands up, moving her head, jabbing on approach. Regan slipping in under Karen's long jab, weaving inside to deliver thunderous left/rights to ribcage. Karen aghast, giving ground: Bridgy Regs walking her lass down, looking for more body.

R3: Gillan doubling up the jab, stepping it in with authority: Regan backing up in surprise, catching stiff face poke. Regan swinging back lusty - coming up short: Gillan with that weird knock-kneed ambulation looks rickety, but she's motoring around the ring, dictating distance. Whenever Bridget draws elbows in and crouches down, Gillan leans in, sloshing lanky right/lefts to body - tall girl not afraid to crowd-and-bang when the opportunity is there. Regan out-fought, maybe a little bewitched as Gillan's unorthodox movement proves a puzzle.

R4: Regan pursuing Gillan along ropes - girls traveling in a wide counter-clockwise circuit along perimeter. Jabs punching at Karen's mouth, knocking her into strands...she's got her arms up, trying to push-back lefts when a CLOBBERING right sweeps in over left shoulder, crashes home to jaw and ends Scotland's night. Karen bashed unconscious on her feet...torso suspended out over her feet for a moment before she pitches in belly-down. Scottich girl all switched off as touched up American glares down all flaring nostrils, heaving chest. KO4 Bridgy Regs in crashing fashion.

After: Gillan acquitting herself very well when at range: Regan making good on her promise once she got close, however. "She's a tough one to read," Bridgy admits, left eye sporting puffy baggage courtesy Gillan's poke, "and I wasn't expecting her to the ribcage, so she was definitely keeping me on my toes. I knew I was so much stronger though - really, once I closed ground on her, it was over." Scottish press accentuating the positive, declaring the likes of Kesha, Swift, Cat Deeley and even Stacy Keibler as "Null and Void" now that Gillan's on the scene.
