Before: "Beating Ali Landry doesn't make me the best fighter in boxing," Cam shrugs in prefight, "I've already proven that I'm that. But taking out the welter champ proves that I can go anywhere, do anything I want in a boxing ring. I could drop down to 119 and pitch a 10-0 shutout on the best bantamweight. I could meet Claire Danes in the 'teens somewhere and box her ass off. Whatever I want to do in in the ring, I do. That's what I want people to take away from this fight: Cameron Diaz does what she wants, when she wants, to whomever she wants, at will." Landry rolling her eyes throughout the A-list diatribe. "People having been bringing up Trish Helfer to me and saying that Cam could be another slick blonde problem," Ali says at mic. "Not gonna happen. In the first place, Tricia's rangy and raw-boned - she walks around welter and made the weight stronger than people expected. This is a catchweight fight where Cameron's coming in light, and she's not going to be able to hurt me. Everyone knows what happens to cuties who can't hurt girls: they don't stay cute very long. Here's to a short night in the ring, and a hard beat for a loudmouthed blonde who deserves the ass-kicking of her career at my hands!" Ali in gold bikini; small black gloves; dark curls loose. Cam in scarlet Day-and-Knight bikini; hair in twisty bun with bangs framing face; small black gloves.

During R1: Cam: roaming clockwise all loosey-goose; bouncing on the lead (left) leg - right leg well back, pushing off right big toe - hands negligent at waist. Cameron circling, sliding back to create gaps against Landry encroachments...blonde girl fluid, light, lithe on her feet, and bendy at the waist - leaning away from punches meant for her chin. Landry hands up/elbows in, looking to jab to Cam's chest, get close and ruff her up: when Ali's successful in this, Cam not shy about clinching for ref's break. Close, wide-ranging action basically even until late...Ali reaching with the jab, trying to locate willowy blonde...Cam lifts the right hand out of front pocket; drops it over Ali's extended left, snap-chopping fist to chin! Landry's legs buckle from unexpected punch...she stumbles forward and GOES TO ALL FOURS! Landry buzzed, shaking her head in wonder. Cam leaning forward - arms out to either side as she shakes her chest side to side in a shimmying dance move until ref pushes her away. Saucy 10-8 round Cammie D as blonde girl proves she can get to strong brunette legs after all.

R2: Mirror-image round: Cammie gliding, dancing, bending; flicking the jab; roaming clockwise; leaning away from hard punches on supple hips. Landry cutting off the ring, jabbing to chest, then crowding in to get big until clinched. All even until late - Cam once again catching Landry's chin a slick pull-counter right hand...as Ali's bobbing on the spot in hurting earmuff, blonde girl strafes brunette head-and-shoulders via withering array of rangy left/rights. Sexy stuff - Cam on front (left) leg - slicing in the right; drawing it back across Ali's hairline; cuffing Ali the rangy hook; backhanding Ali a tapping left jab; back in and down with the slicing right. Bell: Landry blinking, wobbly-butt; Cameron grinning, winking at press-row, hamming it up through 2.

R3: Landry's a believer: she's been stung twice - she slows pursuit, keeps hands at temples...she's verrry tentative on approach. Perfect for Cammie D: Diaz legs propel her around wary brunette; Diaz left jab flicking out from the waist, backhanding and towel-snapping at Ali despite ref's warnings. Cammie's right hand a slinging, chopping menace either picked up off the hip to drop down, or simply chopped out from the shoulder. Cameron head-hunting exclusively - nothing directed at the Landry torso: a clear distinction vis-a-vis Tricia Helfer's Landry-busting approach. Bell to bell showgirl stuff from Cameron - she darts and taps, leans away and slips rare Landry receipts - essentially shutting out a well-protected but gunshy welterweight through 3. Before sitting on her stool, a beaming Cameron salutes out into the crowd, nodding aggressively thereafter.

R4: Ali shakes off her stupor, gets back to hounding Cam. Diaz limber, doing her thing outside: Ali jabbing her way in close, scrounging and roughing Cameron up, bullying her to ropes and trying to maul her until ref's breaks. Of the two agendas, Cameron's prevails in terms of time-of-possession: Ali simply unable to get on top and smother as much as she'd like.

R5: Better, more consistent round for Landry puts more pressure on Cameron. Ali finding Cam in the chest via left jab; coming over the top righty: Diaz able to slip-and-roll the haymaker, but she's defensive - often off balance...easy for Ali to get inside strong. Ropes: Ali bumpin' and a-sluggin' - wrenching her arms free of Cam's clutches; pounding Cam's ribcage/waistline. Diaz made to suffer as she's bullied and ragdolled. Down the stretch, Ali having a good long go - beating Cam huge hooks in her rightside ribs; shoving Cam upright with brawny left shoulder; bashing Cam close-in right hands to left armpit. It's all too much - woozy, grimacing Cammie D eases herself to right knee to relieve pressure: steely-eyed glare of supremacy from Landry before she's shunted aside by ref.

R6: Cameron roaming, being bendy, being cute with low-slung fists, choppin' and a-swattin' from outside. Ali being brawny/smart - bobbin' and a-jabbin' to get close, then giving Cam hard times inside. Back and forth - both girls having moments: Diaz' legs able to resecure the initiative, dominating time-of-possession: Ali left too often reacting late to clever Cam's offensives.

R7: Ali jabs Cam to ropes early, punishes her there. Diaz in earmuff - bending forward off ropes, or leaning back into them, offering the odd whip-hook counter, or short lead right. Ali on top - pinning Cam down via the jab; HEAVING in thick right hands to flat blonde paunch; popping hips-right to RIP in the hook behind Cameron's right elbow. Diaz rope-a-doping in the pocket, absorbing fearful punishment: Ali patient, methodical, putting her curves into Diaz-demolition operations. Bell: Ali making sure she pushes off big-girl, making Cam take weight. Diaz frazzled, disheveled, but unbowed, lifting her arms and strutting back to corner like she's won the round!

R8: Cammie drops the slick pull-counter right over Landry's chest-seeking left: Ali stutter stepping on the spot, eyes pinched shut in momentary pain as Cameron gets to Ali cute. Cam roaming to her right (counter clockwise now) - steppin' in a wide, flat-footed posture...both hands up. Cam jab-jabbing from the shoulder (her elbow in close to her body); feinting; dropping in sneaky lead right hands up the middle: change of pace and delivery has Ali mesmerized midring. Landry shakes it off, gets back to hot pursuit late, but Cameron simply disengages, legs around the ring to run the clock.

R9: Ali's clever too: Landry shows the left jab to Cam's tummy, but bait-and-switches it into a swinging left hook as Diaz is leaning away...CLANGING connect PUTS BLONDE GIRL DOWN! Cameron rung up stoopid...picking her head up woozy from canvas as she's lying on her back: crowd on it's feet as Ali Landry pounds right hand to chest en-route to neutral corner. Upon resumption, Cameron running for her life - long legged blonde hard to track down, but Ali shooting in at Cam's hips, wrapping her up, taking her to ropes...leads to several muscular rough-ups until blonde can clinch for break.

R10: Cam being cute - setting on flat feet, hands up/elbows in...she'll feint Ali, then lead a poking right hand up the middle - penetrating guard and punching Landry's face back. Cam scampering away cute after such displays, but Landry resolute...brunette hunting her blonde down, jabbing her body, then banging away in earnest until Diaz can leg away. Cameron mouthbreathing, hair in her eyes...she's visibly distressed, starting to hurt full time from Ali's thudding rib-work. Brunette sees blonde girl weakening, trying to take advantage, but Cameron shamelessly leggy - bouncing along the perimeter to run the clock. Bell: Ali's the aggressor - she takes the tenth, then waits anxiously during a long delay as cards are tallied. Comes back one point duke...Cam Diaz!

After: Diaz crying out "YES!" raising her arms at the announcement: Landry in stunned denial, wishing she'd taken even just one of those first 3 rounds to take away Cam's margin. Huge win for an A-list blonde...Cam Diaz rebounding back strong from a Theron defeat to win a rare Battle-of-Champions. "Wall. Of. Talent!" Cameron chimes in postfight, beaming like a lighthouse. "That's it - that's all there is to it: I'm the best fighter in boxing, bar none! There's nothing like me out there! People say 'Helfer' but I'm like 'Whaaa? Girl please!' It's high time all boxing bowed their heads and showed me respect. This is it girls - you want to be the best? You want to be top of the foodchain? This is what it all looks like. Me: Cameron Diaz; Great Blonde; Duchess of Dukes; Queen of..." On and on in that vein...Diaz obviously thrilled with the triumph and making sure everyone has the right perspective on it.
