BEFORE: "You look at our bodies, and I'm just stronger," Minka insists in prefight, "especially in the legs. She's not accounting for that...no offence to Scarlett, but she's acting like I'm a tune up, and I feel I'm very dangerous for her. Obviously, one of us is going to prove the other wrong. And by 'one of us', I mean me!" Scarlett shrugging Minka-pride off in rebuttal. "She's a cutie/tuffy," Scarlett explains at podium, "you know the type: looks good at the weigh in; says all the right things; stands up for herself during photo shoots...but Minka Kelly is a B- fighter (pause for gasps of astonishment from press-row) - no now, I'm serious. The girl has heart, but this fight is about my skill, not her will. If I come in and execute as I expect to, Minka Kelly's not going to be a problem - much less a threat." Minka in powder blue sport top/royal blue bikini bottoms; small yellow punching mittens; long low ponytail with thin-strand bangs bracketing face. Scarlett in charcoal bikini cut in the style of the Andress Dr. No bikini; small black mitts; coppery curls loose. Stare down almost nose to nose - Scarlett really trying to impose will as Minka bravely fronts up.

During R1: Scarlett circling counterclockwise, viciously at Minka's body via wide, palm-down right hands scouring ribcage; thrusting lefts digging for paunch. Southpaw Scarlett adept at shifting her lead (right) foot outside Minka's left, then sliding in to deliver slinging lefts jugs or mouth: Minka catching hard clout whenever Scarlett's able to scoot-in thus. Kelly banging back in spots - lead right hand nullified by Johannson's canny movement, but brunette hook finding and spanking redhead midsection with authority. Crowdpleasing first to Scarlett - she works the angles, punches-with, and gets it done.

R2: Mink a-banging body...brunette searching for redhead via pawing left, then stepping to sling heavy right hands wide to ribs/flank. Hooks follow-on from there - pounding at Scarlett's tummy, taking her breath away. Midway through, sustained Minka pressure hounding Johannson out of her stance...brunette able to whack-bat a loud right/left off waist; clean up hook-on-jugs, then dig a GLORIOUS left hook in behind Scarlett's right elbow to PUT JOHANNSON DOWN! Scarlett gasping, dropping to palms-and-haunches...Minka's chest heaving, eyes blazing as she looks things over. Resolute 8 for Scarlett - she's up strong, but Minka quickly atop her, bodying redhead to ropes. Minka sliding left arm in under Scarlett's right - Minka's right hand gripping at Scarlett's left wrist as brunette girl pushes in strong at ropes. Scarlett baring teeth, grunting - her right hand rests at Minka's left shoulder while her trapped left tries to twist free of Minka's grip. Kelly grunting softly with the effort of gripping, controlling and bodying her girl - brunette working hard to pin Johannson down; free up right hands and tuck 'em tidy to gut or chin in snug. Scarlett taking messy punches, squirming underneath her tormentress...good smothering finish for Minka as she blankets Scarlett after the knockdown. Bell: Minka's still got tummy on her rival - ref pulls brunette off as tempers flare.

R3: Minka in hot pursuit: Scarlett trying to leg around counterclockwise, seeking to renegotiate all terms. Mink not as nimble, but she's purposeful - pawing the left hand for Scarlett while scooting-to; keeping head down; bringing the right hand wide, in low trajectory to Scarlett's ribs in thumping fashion. Johannson grimacing on contact - not enjoying these lusty brunette rib-whackers: redhead doing a lot of evasive hopping and scampering as Minka works hard to add in follow-up hooks and combos.

R4: Scarlett more active - still showing leg, circling, but she's moving her hands, touching Minka up this round. Scarlett playing pattycake with her lead right against Minka's lead left. Scarlett ducking-and-rolling in the pocket as Minka's batting out body blows...then redhead uncoils to place thick, wicked left hand counters direct to brunette tummy or solar plexus. Kelly grunting when caught thus - she's getting caught heavy and flush to body while Scarlett's generally covering up and taking her medicine in better defensive form. Down the stretch, Scarlett rattles Minka's cage: redhead shifting just outside Minka's left foot, sliding in off the shoulder to place a pair of slinging left hands to chin. Minka startled, stumbling backwards all chin-checked and flustered...bell sounds before advancing Johannson can clean up momentarily helpless jugs.

R5: Similar stuff - Scarlett generally getting angles outside Minka's left shoulder; finding slugging solutions for the left hand tummy, tits, and chin on Minka. Kelly frazzled - brow frowning every time a left hand punches into her mouth, but she's cute and persistent - still landing that thumping wide right to Scarlett's left flank on occasion. When girls push-in and get off, Minka does well - letting her hands go in whack-batting patterns underneath, making Johannson feel some heat. But it's Scarlett's overall ring control, angles, and well placed left hands carrying the round: redhead patiently busting her pretty brunette foe up through 5.

R6: Same again - Scarlett giving up the odd heavy right hand in her body - not enjoying it, but more than compensating for it. Scarlett edging in off Minka's left shoulder - carrying the left hand deep to tummy, or carving it ear-to-chin on the right side of Kelly's face...brunette frequently spilling out of her stance, eyes blinking, lips parted in wonder. Girls getting into writhing embraces - Minka's left vying with Scarlett's right to secure a wrap, while brunette right wrestles/twists/grips at redhead left. In these tummy to tummy scrums, the action's sloppy and even...Scarlett generally tying up to get ref's breaks rather than prolong the Minka-friendly squirming.

R7: Minka just a-CHOPPIN' at Scarlett's body - redhead flat footed, hands at temples, taking a chup-chup-chupping pattern of lefts and rights in tight under both elbows. Right uppercut, Minka - splitting Scarlett's mitts, picking up the chin: Johannson shaking her head "No - I'm not hurt" with pursed lips and MINKA KISSES HER THE HOOK! Whistling left swivels Scarlett's head, locking up her knees and DOWN GOES JOHANNSON! Scarlett stretched on her back, legs stiff and straight, head jerky up off canvas...she's terribly hurt! Johannson managing to gut herself up off the deck, but swaying at the ropes. Woozy 8 Scarlett, then ON COMES MINKA! Kelly snarling, pouncing on damaged goods - low-slung right hand takes Scarlett heavily behind left elbow, draining the colour from her face. Johannson swooning, butt-in-ropes as she droops forward behind gloves: Minka at her thick n' vicious - rights and lefts whack-batting in behind either elbow as brunette squares away wide. JOHANNSON'S DOWN! Scarlett suffering horrible body abuse, eventually tilting and crumbling forward...she noses-in at Minka's feet, rolling to her back while hugging battered ribs. That's it: Scarlett knees up, rocking gently side to side, face pinched in gut-shocked agony...KO7 Minka Kelly in come-from-behind fashion!

After: Minka squealing with delight, momentarily forgetting that Johannson has feelings with an impromptu celebration right in the vicinity of downed former champ. "I knew I was better!" Minka gushes for cameras as Scarlett's gingerly led to her seat. "She was being cute with me, hitting me some nice shots, but I'm tuff: I gobbled that stuff up and just kept coming. The key to Scarlett is body work - just keep touchin' her and walkin' her down. That's what we did and she couldn't take it!" Minka, Minka - who's next for you? "I'd love to face Allison Mack at bantam and show that I can bang with hard blondes. Hilary Duff thinks she's tuff, and that's a great fight for my fans. Cuthbert if she stops running from me! I just feel like I can beat anyone, so I'm just going to stay active and grind everyone up!"
