DUFF LIKELY TO DEFEND AGAINST MINKA!

Hilary Duff (not independent per-se, but deserving of publicity regardless!) said to be "all but certain" that her first defence of the Bantam crown will be against up and coming cutie/tuffie Minka Kelly. "I really, really wanted to fight Elisha and Minka both, but I don't want to wait for a box-off between them, and Minka's a little hotter and more in demand now, so..." Cuthbert won't be pleased.

When asked about a potential trip back down to 110 for another kick at Hayden, Hilary pursed her lips and lemon-soured her expression: "I'm power-packed and unstoppable at bantam...110's easy for me to make, but I'm always hungry in camp and I'm not at my strongest. If Hayden wants me, she can come up and get me."

BEAU GARRETT MOVING AGAINST ASHLEY NEWBROUGH

Lovely Beau Garrett comes off a stirring win over Abbie Cornish and looks to build momentum against welterweight Ashley Newbrough on a BBU/A card TBA.

HUDGENS DEMANDING TO SEE HAYDEN'S BIRTH CERT!

Vanessa Hudgens is continuing to bedevil Hayden Panettiere out of the ring, accusing the newly crowned champ of not being a US citizen in a recent FIGHTING INGENUE article. Upon hearing that Hayden's citizenship is immaterial to the championship - that indeed ANY celebrity in the world could theoretically contend for the title - Vanessa refused to acknowledge the information, insisting that Hayden is an "illegitimate champion".

HUDGENS TO CONFER WITH MILA KUNIS RE: HISC

Our sources have revealed that Ms. Hudgens has reached out to rival Mila Kunis under the auspices of a "joint understanding" regarding HISC. "I used to admire HISC," Mila told the Indie Times in a recent interview, "but when they signed Natalie Portman after I beat her like a drum? I knew the organization had lost all credibility. Vanessa's a little slut, but if helping her weakens HISC? I'm in! Plus, I'm hungry for Kreuk, so it's a good fit."

WHAT'S A GIRL GOT TO DO? ASHLEY TISDALE CONTEMPLATES THE RANKINGS

"I'm a little disappointed," the HELLCATS star told I.T. magazine. "I've been beating the girls that get in front of me, and I know I'm better than Vanessa, but it's very hard to get deals made when you're an indie-fighter. All I can do is keep scrappin' and stay positive!" When asked if she would consider joining a coalition-of-the-independent to bring down HISC, Ashley was firm: "Not if the coalition contained Vanessa Hudgens. I think Mila's making a terrible mistake. Yes - HISC has to go - but supporting Hudgens is just wrong."

HEMMENS/MILIAN ALL BUT SET

"Just dotting the i's and crossing the t's," Heather Hemmens told I.T. "Milian's basically over: I'm the new thing in that space, and what better way to prove it than by cleaning house? Name one fight at flyweight that's hotter. Go ahead: name one!"

When told of Hemmens' huffing, Jessica Simpson blurted: "Me vs a ham sandwich is hotter than Hemmens/Milian!"

PANNY LISTED AS 'MOST HATED' BY INDIE FIGHTERS!

A recent poll of unmanaged fighters revealed that HAYDEN PANETTIERE is the most loathed of the "pampered and protected" set. "She just gets SO MUCH," said Pretty Little Liar Lucy Hale. "Other fighters are just as good, and work way harder, but Hayden always gets what she wants. Always." It should be noted that 78% of respondents to the poll were flyweights, all but guaranteeing Hayden the most-hated status.

JORDANA BREWSTER SPOILING FOR A FIGHT

"I need competition," Jordana told I.T. at a presser for FF5. "With jessica Alba crumbling, brand-supremacy in her space is up for grabs. I'm really the lead candidate to take over from her, and so I want to fight her, and Nikki Scherz, and even Alyson Michalka. I think I can run the table on these girls!"

INDIE FIGHTERS "HEADS UP"

Watch for the 5'10" actress who plays SIF in this summer's huge blockbuster THOR. Sources put her "at or above" Adrianne Pallicki talent and potential, with a possible outside envelope bordering on Righetti!
