BEFORE:

"Prejean's been talking for weeks about how I'm tailor-made for her," Katy says with a smile and a shake of her head . "She's been on about how she can jab me and box me. About how I'm not slick or classy enough to beat her. She's been talking so much I think she's starting to believe her own nonsense. That makes one of us."

"Perry's in for a surprise tonight," Carrie says, a serious expression on her face. "She's got some power, sure, but that's all she has. She can't box with me, and she's not as hot as me. And, when this one's over, she'll be all lumped up and I'll still look good enough for the swimsuit competition!"

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Prejean coming out first here, Mac, to 'Brick House'..."

McCarthy: "More like a straw house. Just about anyone in the FCBA has been able to blow it down..."

O'Dell: "And here comes Katy, to the familiar 'California Gurls'. Both girls looking confident tonight, Mac, and one of them is about to find out that confidence is misplaced..."

McCarthy: "Sad as it is, I've got to make Perry the favorite here, despite the fact that she's the typical overrated Front Street dancing hooker..."

O'Dell: "Well, we don't have to wait any longer to find out. There's the bell for round one and Carrie using that jab effectively here, Mac!"

McCarthy: "This is what pageant girls generally have. Good, long jab and good footwork. What they usually lack is power."

O'Dell: "Carrie showing neat feet, too. Frustrating Katy as Perry tries to work her way in close. Prejean has some reach and height on the brunette and she's using those. Perry coming up short on everything here, unable to find the range. And there's the bell. That's Prejean's round."

McCarthy: "Take a look at the replay here, Jenny. Nice, stiff jabs from Prejean. Keeping Katy at bay. Scoring points. Good round for the blonde."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "And round two underway, and Prejean doesn't figure anything is broken and she has no intention of trying to fix it. She's right back at the jab, circling, using the good feet."

McCarthy: "Perry being more aggressive here, bobbing, showing some head movement for the first time in her career, trying to work inside and get off."

O'Dell: "Carrie doesn't want to play, though, Mac. She keeps using the feet, dancing out of anything that resembles a dangerous situation. That's the round. Slight edge to Carrie, I think."

McCarthy: "Close. Kind of round different judges see differently."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Back to action now, and the game plans are set. Carrie back on her bicycle here, circling, jabbing, staying away from Katy's power. The brunette bobbing and weaving, trying to get inside. Katy covering up and crouching low. Getting underneath that jab and the follow up cross, comes up throwing hooks! Lands a couple before Carrie again gets out of Dodge, dancing away and resuming the outside work. Katy continuing to pressure, working her way inside and..."

McCarthy: "OH! RIGHT HOOK PERRY! PREJEAN IS DOWN!"

O'Dell: "Katy caught Carrie clean with that one! Sent her corkscrewing to the canvas! Referee is counting but Prejean isn't moving! Nine! Ten! It's over! The winner by KO3, Katy Perry!"

McCarthy: "Check the replay, Jenny. Katy Perry showing more defensive ability and head movement than we've ever seen from her. Ducking low here. Bobbing. Covering up. Getting underneath Prejean's long range stuff, and then rising up out of the crouch with a right hook right...THERE. Prejean is out before she hits the mat. Brutal punch right there. Brutal."

AFTER:

McCarthy: "Up to the ring now where Jenny O'Dell has Katy Perry."

O'Dell: "Katy, you've got to be happy with the result tonight..."

Katy: "I'm happy ANY time I can blast a girl out of there. Prejean wasn't the first, and she won't be the last. She ran away from me for two rounds, but, sooner or later, I knew I'd get her, and, when I did? Her seven and a half minutes were up!"
