The legal profession never looked this good as Bridget Moynahan and Alana De La Garza strut about the ring preening for the celebrity laden crowd. On one side Amy Carlson and Jennifer Esposito back up their Blue Blood girl while on the opposite side Lis Rohm and Carey Lowell resplendent in body hugging gowns sit next to Rufus and The Wiz who is digging into his latest food product offering, a tub of Wiz’ Famous Butter Brickle Ice Cream. The container has a picture of The Wiz, spoon in hand with an obvious knock on his chief rival Ben & Jerry’s, a caption coming from The Wiz’ mouth, “I ain’t no commie!”. On the other side of The Wiz sits Cassie Scerbo hands secured by handcuffs so as not to have free rein on any of The Wiz’ snack treats.
Before: “Law & Order was a phenomenal program and Alana is among the best of the ADAs. They couldn’t get enough of her so they sent her to L.A. but let’s face it the show has had its day. Blue Bloods is the hot new cop show and I’m the hot new ADA and I’m going to prove it against Alana tonight!” Bridgy states rather emphatically. “Well after that I guess I just have one thing to ask; What in the name of juris prudence does a show’s hotness factor have to do with whether a girl can knock another girl down?” Alana submits with her eyelashes fluttering like hummingbirds. Blue Blood girl looking statuesque in navy blue bikini and black boxing shoes, hair pulled back in a french braid. West Coast prosecutor following Bazz tradition with another Gaultier ensemble, a black fishnet bikini with leather attachments covering all the important areas, black boots with shorter hair loose, tangly and wild.
Rd 1 Both fighters out in similar classic styles that show off their statuesque frames. Maynahan using her long arms to snap off good looking jabs that pester her gorgeous opponent. Yet De La Garza all oily and smooth getting to the angles with some aggressive body shots that bring out some loud grunts from Bridgy. For a good part of the round De La Garza damaging Moynahan with some serious hooks to the body. Some in the crowd sensing an early end to the Blue Blood franchise when Bridgy catches Alana’s chin and staggers her back to the ropes. De La Garza from in charge to desperate as Moynahan tries various angles to hammer the killer headshot home before the bell.
Rd 2 Each girl sticks to their strategy, Moynahan bouncing and jabbing while De La Garza goes for the body. Suddenly De La Garza sweeps a booming hook across Moynahan’s face and it’s ADA DOWN! Moynahan crawling around on all fours as if looking for a fallen cashew in a bar until the count of six. She’s up and at em in time for a standing eight count and then some more punishment to the body Law & Order style. Moynahan backpedalling for the rest of the round as Alana has her was with her.
Rd 3 Alana out fast lusting for more Blue Blood body. While Moynahan seems content to poke at De La Garza, the oily Latin is landing punches that draw oooohs and aaaahs from the crowd. Moynahan on her bike again trying to avoid a sudden jug mugging from De La Garza when an uppercut catches her and she takes a seat on the canvas. Bridgy up quickly and back to work as if nothing has happened. De La Garza back to stalking her foe like a big cat out of a cage while Bridgy tries to keep her at bay with potent jabs. It’s clear now that De La Garza is banging away Bazz style while Moynahan is trying to up her score with the judges with her jab.
Rd 4 More of the same tactics from each fighter. Bridgy out and looking strong for the first time since the first round. She’s circling De La Garza with purpose, successfully poking at her face. Meanwhile Alana far from outmatched content to land powerful punches that are having their effect on the statuesque brunette. The Irish lass pawing away with her long distance jabs but ultimately unable to avoid the stalking latin girl’s booming hooks and quick uppercuts to the body and head.
Rd 5&6 De La Garza successfully able to close ranks with Moynahan. Both bodies shiny with sweat rubbing up against each other in clinches that clearly favor Law & Order. Alana mauling Bridgy all around the ring until up against the ropes. De La Garza begins a chest assault that’s one for the ages. Moynahan helpless as her jugs are popped every which way but loose. Ref seperates them and Bridgy in immediate retreat after each intervention. She’s landing her share of combinations but they’re having little effect on the Latina.
Rd 7 De La Garza having her way now. Bridgy’s jabs no longer working. She’s covering up as best she can but she’s giving up repeated jug muggings in order to save herself from a crashing uppercut to the chin. It’s the lesser of two painful assaults for the Blue Blooded ADA. The Law & Order mistress chases Bridgy all around the ring trying to serve her with a knock out subpoena but the round comes to an end.
Rd 8 De La Garza out for the kill but Moynahan made from tougher stock. The Blue Blood refuses to wilt and tags the pretty ADA with two quick jabs to start the round. Alana backs off while Bridgy mounts an offense with sharp combinations. De La Garza thinking that the case was closed is forced to cover up against the ropes while Bridgy bangs away on some sizeable jugs and De La Garza’s sinewy shoulders.
Rd 9 Both fighters slugging it out at mid ring. Neither giving an inch. Despite having been pummeled for most of the fight Bridgy stands tall in the pocket and gives as good as she gets. The ADAs bob and weave throwing bombs while doing their best to avoid incoming horror from the other fighter. The round winds on forever for the two fighters but the crowd is on its feet cheering wildly. At the end it’s De La Garza with enough in the tank to pound a few devastating shots to Moynahan’s torso.
Rd 10 De La Garza on top of things like Jerry Orbach on a reuben sandwich. She chews up Moynahan relentlessly chasing her down and administering justice with her hooks to the body. After De La Garza’s combination at the end of Round 9 seems to have taken the wind out of Moynahan’s sails. She is a mere shadow of her round nine comeback and is in retreat throughout the final round. Still she tries to gather whatever favor with the judges she can by forcing her jab but De La Garza is having none of it. She continues to assault the torso pummeling Bridgy’s kidneys in the clinches and the ribcage when they’re clear. Bell sounds and Moynahan doubled over as she stumbles back to her corner. Jury out for only a couple of minutes. UD 10 De La Garza.
After: “Man she’s tough ! Bridgy hung in there! It’s so weird that the two of us are so closely built but the way we went about approaching the fight was so different. I’m just glad that I went with the body. It worked well.” De La Garza lounging back against the ropes and answering questions still looking hot despite having just gone ten rounds. “I’m just so disappointed! The fight just didn’t go the way I wanted in the beginning and then when I came back at the end I thought that I could catch Alana but she had beaten me down too much. I didn’t have anything left for the tenth. I’d like another shot. She’s a top notch lightweight that’s for sure but I can take her down.” Bridgy Moynahan explains as she slumps on her stool clutching her ribs and worked over jugs |
