Before: Non-televised bout--Meyer getting some work in on the dinner theatre circuit trying to rediscover the form that once saw her knocking on the door of boxing’s elite. Dina’s problems appear to be mental--she’s still blessed with rare athleticism and power, but confidence a big part of the cocktail. Beckinsale durable, thoughtful--cagey kind of fighter who can prey on a girl’s doubts if she gets the chance. Meyer in pale blue clinging cotton tank top. White panties, Beckinsale in white cotton tank, pale green panties, hair up.

During r1: Dina wants high tempo, distance and extension on her power shots--Beckinsale wants low tempo, short range--both girls trying to get their respective agendas across. Kate solid fundamentally. Getting her jab onto Dina, then riding her left arm on Meyer’s shoulder to wrap up as Dina comes in. Meyer carrying the action with slashing attacks, grazes Kate’s chin with some near-miss right hands in a range-finding first.

R2: Stop and go action. Meyer initiating, rushing in--Kate patient behind the jab, falling in to clinch and work with the right uppercut while pulling Meyer’s head down with the left. Dina the clear aggressor--Kate just trying to work with what’ given while Meyer works for openings.

R3: Kate rejecting Dina early on with the jab--Meyer getting picked up and pre-empted, sent back empty handed in a series of aborted rushes. Beckinsale calm, expressionless, tracking Dina like a sniper, banging her face with cold authority--Kate’s the boss for 2 minutes. Down the stretch, Dina keeps trying, winging over the top with that right hand, missing, but putting the comeback left on the jaw to shake Beckinsale up for the first time. Kate stepping in fence post holes, rides her left hand on Dina’s right shoulder--Meyer pulls the right cross over the op and BASHES Kate’s head to the4 side with a sick pop/ Beckinsale straight down to her knees--she’s hobbled, bobbing like she’s suddenly hooked on crack and it’s OVER! KO3 Dina Meyer in spectacular fashion.

After: Meyer off the schnied--still showed problematical tendencies but refused nto get distracted from her mission of finding Kate’s chin. Whack reconfirms Dina’s dangerous offensive ability--Beckinsale separart6ed fromk her senses is a long time coming around in her corner.
