Before: Krusher counterattack on Fortress HISC--Janet Jones hoping to dislodge the bantam champ and outflank lightweight, isolating Jen Garner where the Krushers can liquid the pocket at their leisure. Cuthbert blissfully unaware of the grand strategy. Just wants to tuck into her favourite brunette. “I’m too beefy for Eliza,” chirps Elisha., “I am. She was having trouble muscling Claire Danes for God’s sake--she’s not going to b e able to come forward against me. I’m telling you all--I will punch right through Eliza’s body and come out the other side unified bantamweight champion---WOOO!” Dushku growing weary, not to mention insulted, at all this talk about her body not being up to snuff, questions about her durability downstairs--she might be taking the bait. “If it’s going to take a Mexican body war to shut this kid up, so be it,” growls the champ. “Elisha doesn’t seem to respect the beating when I outclass her--guess I’ll just have to do this the old fashioned way.” Elisha in black FHM bikini, Eliza in red leather bikini. Champ refuses to touch gloves during instructions as tempers flare, ref intervenes even before the opening bell.
During R1: Eliza announces herself early and often--right hand at her cheek, body tilted left, she just dips and cranks hooks to ‘Lisha liver in brutal early action. Cuthbert buckled early, groaning, leaning in--Dushku driving her blonde ropeside with body shots and hunkers down to get busy with body hands, really driving in with arms pumping, legs flexing at the knees, breath hissing through tightly clenched lips. Second minute--Cuthbert shows heart--she’s hurt, wobbly butt, but she starts stuffing rights and lefts up into Eliza’s tidy rack, backing the champ off, Mouth on shoulder, one step at a time, constant work underneath--Cuthbert starts to walk Eliza back with tightly clipped punches tits, belly and ribs. Bell sounds, girls dug in midring, shoulder to shoulder, hustling leather into one another’s protesting tummies-ref has to enforce the break. Dushku hurt Elisha early, takes the round, but curvy blonde came back strong under adversity,
R2: Girls close, give battle at point blank range--compact, powerful strokes, all body and shoulder behind the blows. Cuthbert turns into a tight right hand early, bouncing it off Eliza’s skull, then hooks repeatedly to paunch as Dushku poses, guarding up to shake off the clout. Eliza pivoting to the left just to change the angle, but she’s not her usual crafty self--she’s laying in with Elisha, trading furiously, deliberately ignoring the head to make her point downstairs. Slowly, but surely, Dushku’s thrusting, pumping, non-stop punching lungs and tummy discourages Cuthbert--blonde starting to gasp, reaching to clinch and exposing her trembling torso in the process. Midway through, robust body work drives ‘Lisha to the ropes once again--face pinched in pain, mouth open--blonde can’t breathe and she takes a groggy knee. Eliza backing off SMOLDERING from her own efforts, eyes blazing triumphantly at the sight of Cuthbert struggling to her feet. Dushku’s got another minute, spends it plowing gut on Elisha--this stuff’s starting to hurt Cuthbert badly. Elisha shouting out in pain, draping one or other arm around Eliza in the threat of a clinch, but she can’t slow brunette down. Dushku hup-hup-hupping double time to the bell--she leaves Cuthbert in rags, storms back to her own corner all business.
R3: Look in Cuthbert’s eyes: “I’m hurt, I can’t feel my legs, I can’t stop what’s happening to me. Dushku stomping across the ring, bending into a tidy right across the rack, dripping right to swing home a crunching hook to the chin--Cuthbert rattled, on her heels--she stumbles straight back to the ropes and sets up numb. Dushku on Cuthbert, heartless pounding, but Elisha won’t go quietly. Blonde gritting her teeth, trying to cover up and stay small, punching up out of her crouch with little right uppercuts and cuffing hooks--she can’t back the champ off, but she’s fighting hard now, just being a competitors, Eliza zeroed in, feeling it, seeing it on Elisha’s face--brunette taking whatever she wants at this point, Multiple tidy rights, thumping up and into defenseless blonde jug--multiple left hooks, back arched, standing up into the rips, just hollowing out ‘Lisha’s beleaguered little tummy, On and on and on--consummate Eliza Dushku beat down--not for the feint of heart as she stays on Cuthbert, shoulder and jostling her, then digging her out in relentless, machine-like fashion. It’s all too much--an exhausted, battered Elisha Cuthbert sinks to her haunches, blubbering, hugging a ruined ribcage as Eliza struuuuts, KO3 to the body no less--Eliza Dushku.
After: Dushku pointedly attacking and destroying Elisha’s proud blonde body--punch stat numbers guess estimate that Dushku may have landed as many as 100 to 150 shots against Cuthbert’s tasty jugs, ribs and waist in 9 minutes of blistering action--a far cry from the usually selective sharpshooting champ we’re used to seeing. Dushku not done--she shoves Janet Jones out of the way, hugs Elisha up off her stool and drags her out for a staggering walk of shame--Cuthbert all beat up and woozy, mouthing wet protestations as Eliza takes charge, Krusher counterattack halted at the border--as one pundit puts it, “we’re in an era of dominant champs--girls are turning back stiff comp, defending their titles--it’s going to be tough to pull the gold off one of these gals.” one interested girl at ringside, Dani Fishel, offers up a few quotes in the aftermath, “I’m really surprised,” says Dani. “I didn’t think Eliza could beat Elisha head on like that--I just assumed she’s pick Cuthbert apart with boxing. it’s a huge strategic error--the kind you’d expect from Janet, I mean they probably thought Elisha would lose close, come into me with some momentum, Instead they’ve got a gut-shot fighter who’s confidence is ruined, whose body has been exposed and who might not be that tough on the inside after all. Dani Fishel’s the LAST person they probably want next!”
