Before: Great bantam match up between similar crowd pleasing styles--high punch count expected as both girls look to reassert themselves. “Neve’s old news,” says a dismissive Elisha, producing open-mouthed shock on the Campbell side of the dais. “Does she still act. I mean does anyone okay her to act in films or anything?” Campbell barely restraining her rage--”Elisha’s got nerve, I’ll give her that., She’s a flash in the pan if I’ve ever seen one and for her to suggest I’m washed up…I mean let’s get real. Elisha’s a tune up for me.” Cerulean blue bikini, Neve, pea-green bikini top, white bikini bottoms Elisha.

During R1: Strong stances, rugged punching, both girls leading with short rights, back with clanging hooks and NEVE GETS ROCKED! Campbell on her heels--Cuthbert bangs her ropeside with a fusillade of lefts and rights. Neve shaking off the cobwebs, starts pitching from the hips--it’s two-way, face-first, free-for-all at the ropes. Vicious action, girls punching with each other--sometimes Neve catching ‘Lish, sometimes the other way around. Bell sounds--neither girl lets up--ref gets involved--Elisha taunting Neve over the man’s back.

R2,3: it’s going to be that kind of fight--toe to toe, hard working, no posing or posturing as girls get to digging. High guards from both women, each taking turns getting off. Guts are worked--one girl covers up as the other swings away tight 3 and 4 bursts. Chins are tagged--Neve coming off the body with bang-bang hook/uppercut combinations--Elisha working around the raised wrists of her opponent with fierce multi-punch barrages wide. Couldn’t be closer or more bitter--Neve just a hair busier, touch more stubborn--whenever somebody takes a step back to relieve pressure, it’s Elisha.

R4: Still that same turn-taking mayhem, but Cuthbert adding wrinkles, She’ll jab at Neve’s guard, then sink in the right hand to the body, then hook hard to cheek as Campbell’s arms flinch down. Cuthbert stepping purposefully to the side, turning Neve, making her move her feet more--Campbell’s output drops a little, but brunette still has her moments. Neve getting shoulder to shoulder and wearing out the Cuthbert midsection with beefy hooks--Campbell biting ‘em in, and curling ‘em back to her waist to reset.

R5: They’re wearing down: it’s been a blistering pace thus far. Campbell able to swing at Elisha’s  belly as blonde stops forward behind her guard, and Cuthbert’s not always answering back. Neve able to go left/right/left o the waist, regroup behind her guard, see nothing’s coming back, then lay in tuff to the body again, shaking Elisha in the process. Cuthbert choosy, tining a rigid little left uppercut from her guard as she bends her knees and taps Neve’s chin.

R6: Savage two-way action continues--girls facing each other behind high guards, raking and clubbing each other senseless. Cuthbert’s found a friend in that left uppercut--she’s dipping her knees and just clipping it short, often pre-empting Neve and taking the play away. Elisha getting the extra touch in this round--swinging right hands to the gut, straight criss-crossing lefts and rights trying to pierce the guard late.

R7:  Neve taking backward steps--Cuthbert getting to her with left uppercuts, banging short right hands between the gloves and a rich, thick hook in behind the elbow. Whenever something appears to shake Neve--Elisha pipes up “you’re hurt!” or some such--grating on Neve’s nerves. Cuthbert also tidying up I close with a tit scrub--just turning her shoulders side to side to swish her gloves thub-thub across Neve’s cleavage. Campbell issuing the fight’s first clinches--brief tie-ups--’Lishy struggling to keep her rhythm.

R8: Cuthbert imposing her will. Now it’s Neve frozen behind her guard, standing there, letting Elisha get off 3,5, 5 free swinging blows to the body. Elisha slugging, then pushing up with her guard--she’s getting give out of Neve’s legs, pushing the brunette around, wearing her down. Lots of chatter from the blonde--brunette bitign down and suffering, waiting for the turnaround--Elisha chirping, “You’re going down! You’re hurt! Ooh that was a good one!” stuff like that. Nothing fancy--Elisha just staying on Neve, moving her hands, mixing up the punch selection, going head and body. Campbell pressed against the ropes and looking shopworn late--Cuthbert completes the shutout: shoulders rotating on the inside, fists finding and punishing Neve’s pouting belly.

R9: Neve hollow-eyed, getting ridden hard at this point--she tries to jab and move to her left, but gets her face banged back by the energetic blonde. Lishy upbeat, fresh faced--she’s jabbing and driving straight right hands to Neve’s face--knocking the brunette around the ring, Early Campbell resistance beaten down--she’s drifting away, setting up at the ropes to defend--Cuthbert walking her down and working. Midway through, Cuthbert goes body with a pair of thick right hands, left hand tight to her cheek--she’s got Neve cringing forward, ‘Lishy shoulder-bumps Neve back, swings righty to the same spot, bludgeoning Campbell’s body without mercy, Neve wilting forward--Cuthbert curls the right hands slightly, picking Campbell up in the chest, Blonde digs in a few, bodies up to straighten Neve then steps left--Cuthbert pulls in the right hand from an awkward angle, spanking Neve’s face--brunette dazed, tilting into the ropes and CUTHBERT UNLEASHES! Elisha letting her hands go, just shredding what’s left and CAMPBELL GOES DOWN! Neve on her side under the ropes--camera catches Jenny Mac in the background up on her feet, clapping and bouncing with excitement. KO9 Elisha Cuthbert leave Neve deep in slumber.

After: Devastating defeat--Campbell ground down fighting her own fight, that’s gotta be disheartening. Cuthbert excited, giddy in her corner--Janet Jones slapping her butt and encouraging her to ‘go on--go get her!” Elisha Cuthbert helps a groggy Neve Campbell to her feet, right arm around the brunette’s wasit for a harrowing walk of shame. Neve’s eyes brimming with tears--she’s shabby as Elisha waves to fans, unable to wipe the smile from her face. Double whammy for Neve as she got the boots put on her by a girl Jenny Mac handled with ease. Ouch.
